Fabulous! The rooms are large, bright and clean. The large deck looks straight onto the water. The resort grounds are small but very clean. The restaurant is amazing but small so you need to book. We didn’t swim in the pool but it is right beside the restaurant which I found a little awkward. We walked to the local gardens with a cafe and Charlie’s diner for drinks. We hired a car for a day to drive around the island, to the markets and stopped at the Pacific Hotel for drinks.
The staff were extremely friendly and had outstanding service.
We left on an early flight before the restaurant opened but we were given some breakfast and milk for coffee the night before so we could eat in our room before we left.

We travelled around the island and can say for sure that Little Poly stands out. It's located on the best side of the island in terms of views - turquoise lagoon and white powdery sand greets you any time of day, regardless of the tide. The views are picture perfect like straight out of a brochure. The staff are the best, so friendly and greet you by name...love the personal touch! The tropical brekkie was healthy and sufficient. What we loved most was the staff going over and beyond in terms of keeping things flexible. There's always a gap between check-out at one place and check-in at another and/or with flights schedules. Little Poly did more then they needed to in terms of making us comfortable during those gaps, holding our bags, providing access to the room when ready instead of strictly waiting for check-in times (another place made us wait strictly until check-in when the room was clearly ready, I don't see the logic in that). The pool was amazing. They provide complimentary snorkeling gear, reef shoes, kayaks and SUPs and filtered water. We loved our stay so much that we are already planning a group trip in the near future.

My husband and I spent 5 wonderful days at this resort. It was our third time staying at Little Polynesian. Each time booked through Luxury Escapes. The resort is a relatively small luxury boutique resort. We stayed each time in a Beachfront villa which have spectacular views of the lagoon. The room had great vibes and was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. We found the bed comfortable and the selection of movies extensive. The restaurant is delightful and the food and service fantastic. The tropical breakfast had a good selection of foods and it was served at your table and I loved the small varied treat each day. The gardens are beautiful and the resort is very clean. I was very happy to have decaffeinated coffee available both in the restaurant and in room. Our check in process online worked well and our initial welcome from Chantelle was very informative and thoughtful. A rental car is a good option so that you have easy access to other parts of the island.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort! Book it you won’t regret it!

We came as first time travellers to the Cook Islands and left knowing that our strongest wish will be to return. Luckily for us we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay than at Little Polynesia Resort at Titikaveka only 20 minutes drive (driving at 40kph) from the airport. It has been a privilege for us to have stayed in this resort which was just perfect in every respect; warm and welcoming staff; quietness, privacy and outstanding accommodation; brilliant cuisine at the Little Poly Restaurant; and stunning views across the lagoon some 20 metres from our beachside bungalow. Interacting and talking with staff was such a pleasure, they are very special people who did so much to ensure we were looked after, and very ably led by Chantelle their most charming and helpful manager. The resort setting is stunning, set against the backdrop of a mirror flat lagoon; it’s very quiet and our accommodation was excellent with comfortable beds and pillows, large living space, a private deck and the shortest walk ever to swimming and snorkelling in the lagoon. The restaurant cuisine was outstanding as were the staff who were both excellent in their service and fantastic to talk with along the way. This is a top rated resort for good reason and it was our best decision ever to stay here. As much as it was very easy to just eat, sleep, walk and swim, there is plenty to do. On Rarotonga we would recommend the Progressive Dinner, a very privileged experience, the cultural tour and over water concert at Te Vara Nui Village, a lagoon tour at Aitutaki Island and most of all simply visiting the back roads and plantations of Rarotonga talking with locals – used a hire car for 2 days for $55pd and travelled 74kms! Our stay in the Cook Islands at Little Poly has been such a wonderful relaxing experience and when we can return, it will be straight back to Little Poly! Lindsay and Jennie Macquarie, ACT, Australia

We had a wonderful stay at Little Polynesian. The staff was welcoming, and the check-in process was seamless. The initial view of the pool, surrounded by palm trees with the blue lagoon in the background, instantly made us feel like we were in paradise.
The resort is small and intimate and never felt crowded. The property is immaculately clean and has lush tropical gardens, and the beach is great for long walks.
We stayed in a garden bungalow with two private courtyards – one with an outdoor shower and the other with two sun lounges in a garden setting. The bungalow was spacious and included a small sitting area, a large bathroom, and a kitchenette with everything we needed (mini fridge, coffee machine, and filtered water replaced daily). Next time, we would upgrade to a beachfront bungalow to enjoy the beautiful lagoon view from our room.
We spent most days swimming in the ocean and lounging by the pool. Getting around Rarotonga without a car was easy, as there was a bus stop outside the hotel. Check the bus timetable and have cash (NZ $5 per person for each trip).
The dining experience was poolside with a beautiful lagoon view. A generous continental breakfast was included with the room rate, and our dinner favorites included the Island-Style Sashimi, Mongolian Beef Sizzler, and Seafood Special. The food was very flavorsome, generously portioned, and of very good quality.
We enjoy smaller properties, so it was perfect for us.

Stayed 5 nights at the Little Polynesian and agree with many prior reviews. Firstly, the location is fantastic and offers amazing swimming and views of the reef and ocean. The snorkeling is good, not great. Some fish to be seen but you will find much better in other countries.
What makes the resort special is the staff. They are truly amazing and will go out of their way to make you feel at home. What also is excellent is the food. Never had a bad meal and the setting overlooking the pool is lovely.
To be constructive, I do feel the value proposition could be improved considering the nightly room rate charged. It’s simply not in line with other similar properties in other countries that no doubt they are competing with for the tourist dollar.
Firstly, only offering a continental breakfast is pretty stingy. I would also add that a nightly turndown service would be well served . If for no other reason than to change towels. It seems towels are on short supply here because it was always hard work to get replacements. They don’t have beach towels by the pool, you always have to ask. They don’t give you extra towels in the room and sometimes didn’t even get a bath mat.
The rooms are nice, although the bed and bedding was average in quality and the general condition of the room was just ok. Some wear and tear and no attention paid to fixing things was evident.
All in all we had an enjoyable stay, however they could easily go to the next level if they put some value and focus into addressing the points above.

We had a great time here at Little Poly. We were most unlucky with the weather but it was still a relaxing and restful stay. Our pre arrival, transfers, and welcome were handled professionally and without issue. Our accommodation in a beach side bungalow was lovely. The room was exceptionally quiet and had all that was needed. Serviced every day at a decent hour. The food was lovely but eating there over 7 days we had to repeat some dishes! But all were great. Thanks to Greg and Chantelle, Tom our day time waiter and especially Florence who showered us and our friends with love and care when it was needed most! Thanks Florence! We would definitely recommend Little Poly and would love to return to experience what we missed (weather). It’s not cheap but it’s top quality,

We purchased this holiday via Luxury Escapes and really couldn't complain. The resort is stunning, tranquil and relaxing. There are only 10 beachfront bungalows and 4 garden studios. We stayed in bungalow number 3, just a few steps from the beach. The view of the lagoon was spectacular and utilities perfect. There is a little kitchenette with a Nespresso machine, milk frother, sink, even a full set of cutlery, wine opener, chopping board and gear for snorkelling ready in the wardrobe. The bathroom is spacious and bright but we would welcome to have a tub there.
The staff in the restaurant was attentive, especially around dinner time and they made our time wonderful. Chef Pai prepared a wonderful meal for us and the pork belly was unforgettable!!!
We want to thank especially Chantelle, the lovely lady manager in charge. She is truly a kind person with a great heart. Chantelle is so friendly, professional, and caring and we could see that the comfort of guests is her priority.
We were only a little bit disappointed by Laggon because there was nothing to see under the water due to the decline in coral reef health.

First class accommodations! Pay a little more for the Little Polynesian, it is well worth it. I think it is the nicest resort in Rarotonga. There are only about 14 Bungalows so no crowds. Bungalows are beautiful, beach front, clean, private, and well furnished. We were pleasantly surprised by the small amenities such as a high fidelity JBL wi-fi speaker. A quick setup and we were able to listen to music from our cell phones. The bed is centered so you can view the ocean thru when you wake up each day. There is also an indoor sitting area and a raised outdoor deck with the same fabulous view. The accommodations include a beautiful and private outdoor shower in the garden, with hot and cold water. The Little Polynesian staff are wonderful. The food was outstanding. The beaches and turquoise water here are MORE beautiful than Hawaii and there are few places on this planet that can boast that!
