Rooms were good, more bugs than anticipated but that’s trade off with open air. There is a river next to hotel that empty’s and brings colder water to ocean. Not ideal for snorkeling off the dock but was also there during rainy season. They have canoes and paddle boards you can use.

Linareva is a wonderful small resort set on a beautiful waterfront area. It is very low key and the owners are truly wonderful people who are so helpful and generous. The staff are also great and super responsive. The resort is on a more secluded part of the island, which was our preference. Snorkeling off the pier was great ! We stayed in the villa, which can easily sleep two couples. The kitchen was very handy and the outdoor space very pleasant.

My husband and I stayed at Linareva for 3 nights after a Paul Gauguin cruise. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. I am so glad we chose Linareva as one of the places we stayed on our vacation. The communication during booking and before arriving was excellent and very helpful. We appreciated being given a tour of the property when we arrived by one of the owners, David. He showed us all of the equipment we could borrow, and walked us out on the dock and pointed out the sea anemones, told us about he sea life and as if right on cue, a black tipped shark swam by! The resort had a series of little cottages, or beach/garden bungalows. They had a casual, colourful, cottagey feel. The best part was a beautiful breakfast that was delivered to your porch in the morning, of eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, fresh croissants. baguette, coffee, juice and jams. The staff were so helpful recommending restaurants for dinner and phoning to make the reservation. One of the reasons chose Linareva was the reviews I read about he snorkelling. I LOVE to snorkel and wanted to find a place with good snorkelling. I was very excited to discover a huge outcropping of sea anemones, right beside the dock that would close up and night to look like orange pumpkins! During my snorkeling, I managed to find a couple of Clown fish (my Bucket List fish to find on this trip to the French Polynesia) I enjoyed taking one of the kayaks out towards the reef to explore one of the afternoons. We also enjoyed walking out on the dock at night to star gaze. We enjoyed the resident dog, Lucky, and all the kittens that visited us each day. We never told the owner that a few of them slept with us one night! We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at Linareva and would definitely return if we come back to Moorea. If you are looking to get away from the crowds, to a peaceful and beautiful setting with good snorkelling, than this is the place for you.

There’s no place more deserving of a stellar review in all our travels and yet I’ve taken this long to write one- I think because I read so many exemplary reviews before booking this place that I knew they weren’t short of 5 star reviews. Still, I want to share...

There’s no place more deserving of a stellar review in all our travels and yet I’ve taken this long to write one- I think because I read so many exemplary reviews before booking this place that I knew they weren’t short of 5 star reviews. Still, I want to share how glad I am for booking here during our second trip to Moorea. Our first included the over water bungalow experience and that was amazing but we didn’t want or need to have the same experience or spend in a night what we could stay for a handful of days at Linareva. Staying here was a true oasis. Private, peaceful, safe, welcoming, comfortable and spacious and clean! I don’t want to share the ways in which the kind owners went out of their way to help with transportation and advise on other cost saving alternatives for fear of having them feel obliged to do the same for everyone, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they did. Many kind gestures they go beyond traditional hospitality! My husband almost didn’t trust their generous offer initially as we are so unaccustomed to such generosity and kindness. These are good people running a great business and staff is kind and seem happy by extension. There are some restaurants who will pick you up to drive you to and from dinner if you have no car. Not as many lunch options by foot but at least one delivers and was our go-to. We took the complimentary bikes out to the store for some groceries even though we were offered a ride to store by owner when we checked in. Bikes could use some maintenance/air in tires but was nice to have use of them as well as kayaks and scuba equipment. I will always cherish memories of our solitude at Linareva and hope to return again! Thank you!

Beautiful people, beautiful place. We were welcomed right from the start. The condos are clean and comfortable. All the amenities for cooking. The staff was helpful and willing to take us for groceries, set up reservations for dinners, and even taxis to and from the port. The snorkeling was amazing...

A pair of clown fish right at the first anemone. Everyone at the property down to the cat welcomed us. If you're looking for Shangri-la, this is not the place. If Linareva is on your short list of places to stay in Moorea - BOOK IT! This property has everything for a perfect Moorea stay. It’s most compelling feature is the staff. Rumea met us when we arrived and immediately made us feel at home. She provided a property tour (Kayaks, bicycles, honor bar, library, etc.) and showed us to our comfortable room (studio 4). Studio four has a perfect view of the water from the patio, kitchen and big cozy bed. It is equipped with just what you need - not tremendously luxurious, but very comfortable and functional. Its location on the water’s edge is ideal! The property is on the northwest side of the island near restaurants, several motus, and two convenience stores. My husband swam/snorkeled directly off the pier in front of the Linareva and at the Coco Beach Resort. He declared both areas beautiful. Back to the service: Rumea helped us with food delivery, restaurant recommendations and bookings, directions to nearby stores+++. We wanted to go to coco beach and couldn’t find a reservation online, so she called a friend. Anything we wanted she was there to assist. This is a rare and wonderful find when traveling! When Rumea was on her days off, Nami (sorry if I have this name wrong), David and Vanessa (owners) were equally helpful. Our five days at Linareva provided a perfect beginning to our 3 weeks stay in Tahiti - thanks to its owners and staff.

We had a terrific time at Linareva. Our host David went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible experience. He kindly took us to so many places and helped us arrange everything, from food to tours on the island. The property is gorgeous, the place has a gorgeous mountainous backdrop and everything is well maintained. Linareva is located right at the ocean, making it easy to go kayaking, snorkeling or just swimming. They provide all the gear you may need at no extra charge. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy. David gave us an upgrade to an oceanfront room and that made everything even more special. Breakfast was delicious. It was served directly on our porch at a time arranged the day before. Really terrific setting. I have no words to describe how thankful we are to David and the whole team at Linareva for making us feel like we were home. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our days in Moorea.

The rooms are good, this is not a hotel, but what we wanted we definitely got - chilled vibe, beautiful setting, etc. I wholeheartedly recommend...and a big thanks you to David and Vanessa who went out of their way to help us with a trip in Tahiti and with other bits. True legends both of them, was sad to leave

My only complaint ( and this happened all over French Poylnesia ) is that the french bread and croissant were just O.K. Small detail that took nothing away from the overall idyllic experience.

This place is a true gem. The location on the West side is far from the hustle and bustle of the busier North side. It is easily one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. Vanessa was an incredible host and the staff is excellent, special shout out to Rumia, who was usually in the office and so helpful. If you are looking for the 5 star over water bungalow experience stop reading now. This is not that place, this place is low key, calming and wonderful. It is showing some age but still so welcoming. The pier is the star of the property. You can swim or snorkel right off the edge. Coral, fish, turtles, rays and small sharks might happen by. You can enjoy the sunset every night. Great place for a beverage from the super convenient 24/7 mini bar on property! It is such an amazing feature here. Absolutely take one of the kayaks (free to use!) to explore the lagoon. Don't forget to look at the backdrop of the property. The mountain scenery is breathtaking. Looks like a film set. Our room/bungalow was so such a great landing spot for our first 4 days in Moorea. It features a kitchen area, big comfortable bed and great patio/deck area to relax. We often used the free bikes available to ride to the market and grab some food for breakfast on our patio at our own pace. There is also fruit right on the property you can use like star fruit, avocados, etc. We slept so well here. Again so relaxing. I can't say enough about the hosts. They also have a situation where food can be delivered or local restaurants will come get you for dinner and drive you back if you don't have a car. This place will stay with us for a long time in the best way. Can't wait to get back again!

Linareva was our favorite place to stay in French Polynesia. Venessa and Rumia were amazing hosts. They both went above and beyond for us. Check-in was at 1pm which is very rare these days. Plus they let us do a late check out even though the place was fully booked....

Plus they let us do a late check out even though the place was fully booked. Customer service at its best! Our beachfront bungalow was amazing and so romantic. It was super private and quiet. The grounds are well kept. You can sit on the dock and see amazing fish including Nemo! No need to snorkel. Great sunsets too!! We took the kayaks out a few times to see the lagoon and snorkel. We really really didn’t want to leave. Thank you for this wonderful stay!
