Bad experience. Refusing us the access to the public beach. Very bad talking with the staff. The end of a famous place on Moorea… RIP. The spot is still awesome, but they forget the service. I've heard bad things about them for some time now, but seeing it with my own eyes is sad.

Stay away from corporate greed and awful politics. Beach is privatized which goes against every local rule. No access and angry guards, so much for Polynesian hospitality. Inappropriate conduct by staff and negativity all around. Stay away.

Loved the location on the beach and near the motus, sharks and a beautiful public beach. Boat tours and kayaks etc. to rent on property beach. Very friendly staff. Large rooms, big bathrooms. My unit did NOT have a kitchen. I requested a view instead. Good good food/wine. No AC, but I knew that and it was fine. all windows had screens. Restaurant had Tahitian dancing and great deck for sunset. Great value, but NOT a Hilton or? I did not want that. Will stay again.

We stayed in one of the lower budget rooms near the reception without AC—we were worried this would make our experience miserable but the fans provided worked great and we had no issues. The staff was friendly and kind, and both the sunrise and sunsets on the beach were incredible....

We stayed in one of the lower budget rooms near the reception without AC—we were worried this would make our experience miserable but the fans provided worked great and we had no issues. The staff was friendly and kind, and both the sunrise and sunsets on the beach were incredible. The beach is nice and calm, and would be a great spot for families. This hotel was a great value for our money, and we’d definitely stay here again!

Great bungalows by the sea. Private beach snorkelling area. Shops in Haapiti are walking distance. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Some bungalows don't have air conditioning, but the fan kept things cool in our bungalow. I would recommend this as go to place to stay on Moorea

We enjoyed an afternoon renting a two-man Kayak from the Kayak Rental station, paddling out and back to the motus. Shipley, our host at the rental station, gave us plenty of inside tips about the motus, currents, and areas for our snorkeling and paddling. Hotel Les Tipaniers has a great employee with Shipley and we highly recommend the rental, whether you want to paddle, or get a small outboard. The paddle was a good workout, and it was fun to picnic on the motu. The snorkeling wasn't really very good, but that didn't take away from the experience. This activity was a great value. Maruru!

First off the location of this hotel is just unbelieveable. The beach, palm trees and crystal blue water are literally breathtaking. The restaurant over the the beach is even more of a treat. The beach provides many options for water sport activities including a self guided tour to where you can swim with the sharks and sting rays. The staff was excellent. The folxs bay the front desk and the folxs at the beach front restaurant where outstanding. They went over and beyond and just so amazingly hospitable and accommodating. Concerning the accommodations, they are pretty basic. I noticed that some of the bungalows have been upgraded and others haven’t which must mean they are slowly upgrading them all. I peeked at the upgraded ones and they are definitely looking fresh and new. The accommodations were a tiny bit more basic than I would have liked, but honestly the staff was so superb I would come back just for them. Lastly I think the hotel location is ideal. You are a 10 minute walk to a public beach, a small shopping and restaurant area and a few other hotels.

This place is in a great location & are cute Tahitian bungalows. The one we stayed in (16) had a deck that overlooked the ocean which we really enjoyed but don’t forget your bug spray. It was handy having the two restaurants handy since it’s quite a ways to other restaurants. We were told other restaurants would pick you up but when we called they said it was too far unless there were a minimum 6 people. There were bikes free to use which we took advantage of twice. The free kayak was not so easy. We never had a chance to use it. Now for the negatives. There is no a/c & it was hot even with a couple fans. The floors are very slick tile so if your feet are wet they are hazardous. There are no non skid rugs, only towels laid down which are dangerous. A rug outside would keep a lot of sand out of the unit. The bed is very firm. There is no potable water & found it a real lack of service not to have at least 2 bottles of water in the fridge. A coffee pot would also be a nice touch. I did appreciate that they gave me a teapot when I asked. All outlets are in need of adapters as well. We enjoyed snorkeling in the ocean. Coco Beach is a short kayak ride away but you might have to rent one next door.

Beautiful View, good food in restaurant(but service was a little rude and slow). Nice to stargaze on the pier at night(bring flashlight). Very uncomfortable without A/C(December). Don't leave any food out or you will have ants in bungalow. Not very private - The beach is public. Nice snorkeling depending on current and can paddle to where the tour companies feed the sharks/stingrays(again depending on ocean's current). Shower was a little gross. I think this would be a fun place to stay with kids. We picked this place for the kitchen to "save money" - we only used the refrigerator to keep water cold and store leftovers - We were having too much fun in Moorea and didn't cook once. LOL.

In short: Good: acceptably clean. Amazing marine life in the beach in front of the hotel. Bad: no drinkable water. No at all. Be sure to be prepared with your bottles. Al night, you run out of water... Nothing at all. WiFi sometimes work, sometimes don't.
