PHENOMENAL ON ALL LEVELS! Americans, go visit this magical property!!! It’s SO SAFE!

I have always wanted to stay at this property as it is so unique. My husband was slightly nervous to go, as sadly Acapulco has had some bad press surrounding safety before the COVID pandemic. I cannot say enough good about this hotel. I have been blessed and privileged to stay at some amazing properties in the world (you can scroll through my reviews here), and Las Brisas ranks among the top of the top. Let’s start with the property. NOTHING is out of place or dirty. The place is meticulously maintained and cleaned. You’ll see people working throughout the day, but the property is so massive I have no idea how they keep up. I LOOOVE the mid century modern aesthetic, and they have fortunately maintained it and not ruined the original vibe and vision. There is also VERY strict security 24 hours a day at the hotel, which is nice to halt any remaining concerns. Here are my “American points” that I love that the hotel also had. GOOD AIR CONDITIONING! Acapulco is hot, and the AC in the room kicked out beautifully, keeping us nice and cool at night. Plenty of closet space, including a wet bar and a large dresser! It was so nice to unpack for the week, and have plenty of storage space in the room. Finally, A PRIVATE BATHROOM DOOR! I constantly complain about this idiotic new remodeling idea where the bathroom door is some frosted glass stupidity, where you basically get zero privacy. I want to poop in complete seclusion! LOL this bathroom had a real solid wood door that shuts and locks. The bathroom also has a nice big counter to spread your stuff out. Beds and bed linens are luxurious and comfortable!
The WHOLE SERVICE TEAM is phenomenal!!!!! Seriously! Everyone! Julia at the front desk is wonderful and went out of her way several times (including finding our cell phone) to make our trip amazing!!! All the staff are so kind, generous, and seem to love their jobs. They felt like friends after the week!
Acapulco is VERY SAFE! Truth be told I was slightly concerned. There were police and the national guard all around the main areas, and made me feel very safe and protected. There was not one time or area where I was feeling even mildly unsafe nor cautious. The taxis felt very safe. And the drivers spoke good English. Often they would offer to come back and pick us up after dinner if we called or texted them. This proved to be very helpful.
FYI for Americans, Acapulco feels like St. Tropez for Latin Americans. At dinners everyone is extremely glamorous and dressed for dinner! I felt like everyone in Acapulco is beautiful….so bring some nice stuff for nighttime. :)
If you want a tour and/or a driver, I used Sebastian at Acapulcoforall.com. He’s AMAZING and speaks fluent English! He was a very helpful asset for us on the trip.
Finally, after a devastating hurry, Acapulco is back!!!!! Americans book your trip now. I think it’s my new favorite Mexican resort destination!

We are so excited to still see faces that have served us over the decades. And some new ones that are doing an amazing job. Rogelio has only been at Las Brisas for a few years and I think he is doing a wonderful job.
Kristopher and I can often times be a little too much and have really high expectations. Fortunately those expectations have been met and even exceeded. And just to give you an idea, Rogelio randomly stopped by our Casita to check in with us. And, even though he has tomorrow off he said we can send me an email and I will take care of anything we need.
Sandra in reservations has also been wonderful to work with. In addition we are sending some friends here in the next couple of weeks and she was very quick to pick it up and start a phenomenal experience for them.
And a kid you not, not just because we've been here several times but this trip and experience has been some of the most VIP treatment we have ever experienced, ever! And that is why we return as often as we can.
There are way too many talented staff to mention, but we do appreciate that Leo has stuck around for so long and some of the new young men driving us around in jeeps have been very pleasant and fun to converse with. I wish we had captured the name of our housekeeper and our pool guy, but they come and go and almost are invisible and silent. We did not have the chance to meet the new general manager, but I can assure you he is doing a phenomenal job in the love and history of the Las Brisas experience.
Thank you everybody at Las Brisas. We know that you all work very hard and it is very much appreciated. Kirtis & Kristopher, Californian transplants to Hilton Head Island.h

Sandy and I were married October 6, 1984 and went to Las Brisas for our Honeymoon. We returned 40 years later and created these repeat images. We even visited the casita we stayed at 40 yeas ago and there is a pic of Sandy on the patio in red. We arrived right after the hurricane that occurred late September. When the resort reopened we were the only people that stayed there the first night and they had a full staff. The next day it got crowed as another couple arrived. LOL The resort was just as beautiful as 40 years ago. Sandra in reservations took care of us. Ricardo, the manger, even gave us his own personal jeep for our stay. You can say what you want about Acapulco but it is still very magical to Sandy and me and Las Brisas is like none other. I should also say that they felt so bad for us they gave us what I believe is the most beautiful casita at the resort. Can't say enough great things about this place and the staff.

We stayed at Las Brisas one time before and even though the overall experience was good we had a couple of minor hiccups. When the General Manager found out he asked us to come back, and so we did. Not for a proper honeymoon but only a couple of days right after our wedding to unwind and relax.
I know what is said about Acapulco, that it's not safe, that it's old and neglected... well, if you stay at Las Brisas you don't need to leave the resort AT ALL! You have everything and anything you might need to make your stay memorable.
EVERYTHING, every detail, was absolutely perfect!
Ricardo, the General Manager, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport in an SUV, he was right there on time and drove us to the hotel.
Check-in process was quick and smooth while we were sipping on a freshly made courtesy Margarita. Even the view from the lobby is breathtaking!
All transportation within the resort is by the iconic White & Pink jeeps, so we took one to Suite Jazmines, our home for the next 2 days.
Once at the villa we were given a short tour and briefed on how things work (room service, breakfast, massages...).
Coffee and pastries are brought to you early morning and left on a tray through a special window right by your door.
We booked a massage at our villa... the setup, the therapist, the treatment... it was all superb.
We enjoyed our private pool, our private hot tub, ordered food at Room Service to enjoy our meals al fresco. The room was big and spacious, and so was the bathroom.
Not one bad thing/experience happened during our stay. We are already planning to go back for your 1st Year Anniversary!

My husband and I had the most incredible stay at Las Brisas. We have traveled all over Mexico and Europe and agree that this was some of the very, very best service and care we have ever recived in any hotel, ever!
Our room (swim in/out suite) was nothing short of magical; BEAUTIFUL, retro, Mid-Century style without feeling tired or dated, including modern touches, such as a Bluetooth JBL speaker/alarm system that allowed us to play music of the era to really up the ambiance. Bottled water is generously supplied daily. Towels are plentiful and refreshed twice daily, and touches like spa robes and slippers add to the comfort of the super plush bed and soft linens A very special thank you to our wonderful housekeeping specialist, Soledad, for keeping our room immaculate, decorating it with fresh flowers daily, and even teaching me how to make a towel sculpture. She made my stay so special. An added honorable mention to our pool guy who good-naturedly kept our swim experience fresh and bug free.
The pink and white jeeps are super quick to arrive and transported us swiftly to reception, the beach club, or the formal dining restaurant. Beach club was really cool, with 2 ocean pools great for snorkeling and a standard pool with swim up bar (great, full-strength drinks - try the Cocoloco served in a giant coconut!). Food at La Concha for lunch was delicious, fresh, full wine and drinks menu, and what a VIEW!
Speaking of food, Bella Vista was delicious with so many options. It was truly an upscale experience, and we appreciated that this extended from an on-site sommelier, the lovely, artistic presentation of our gorgeous fish and lobster with properly chilled wine, to the expectation that diners dress in elegant attire to keep the atmosphere special. The live piano music on Friday with our after dinner cocktail was such a nice touch.
There were honestly too many amazing things about Las Brisas to mention in one review. If there is one thing that stands out above all others is the beautiful, impeccable service we received from every person we encountered at the hotel. There are so many people I wish I could name. Rogelio, Chief Concierge, we thank you and your team for a superb experience. We will be returning.
