Absolutely stunning location, beautiful views over the sea. Quiet, tucked away resort, with maybe 15 rooms. Nice huts with plunge pools and great outside areas for relaxing. Taxi is required to reach other restaurants or bars, but other than that, this was perfect for a quiet vacation.

I stayed in a room with a private pool and there was an electrical current in the water! I was painfully shocked in both legs upon getting in, and when I called to report the issue, no one took it seriously. After calling back someone came and confirmed the pool was not safe to use. No one ever apologized or updated me on the issue. Simply not acceptable to have a relaxed attitude toward a safety issue like this, and they did nothing to make it right, like offering to change our room or providing a discount since the pool was unusable. For the price I paid I found this pretty abysmal handling of the situation. It's a shame because apart from this issue everything was great- the property is beautiful, the food in the restaurant is good quality, etc. There were minor other issues (e.g., we prepaid for a car to and from the airport, but the driver still expected us to pay), but those were easy to overlook. But having such a such a scary incident handled so poorly is not forgivable and really soured the stay.

This is a lovely , chic bohemian hotel Great touches like the enchanted forest, monkey bar and art felt like a mini festival vibe We stayed in the beach bungalow Very private but close enough to the bar and restaurant area. The sea was a little rough when we stayed and gets deep pretty quick so maybe exercise care with small children Every day we had the room nicely cleaned and the turn down service This was a delightful touch as we made use of the coffee making facilities and each day everything was washed and ready for next morning No bugs or lizards in our room, the outside opening bathroom was spacious and clean We were advised to use the bathroom fan so it didn’t get stuffy, which worked Good Aircon and mosquito nets in the room so not bothered by bugs at all Comfortable bed, lots of storage and walk in wardrobe Honestly the best room option For the most part the staff were delightful , welcoming and friendly Food was adequate like most of the places we stayed in Grenada Better than many on the island but not international standard I guess the reason why this has an Italian restaurant is that is what most visitors prefer We would have preferred more local options. Breakfast eggs, fish often over cooked which was a shame given the ingredients were so good. Unimaginative sides. Pasta was excellent though, al dente and tasty We did choose to eat out more as a consequence but apart from a couple of other places I don’t think Grenada is a place for foodies Wholesome and filling is what you get which is fine. Bar service and drinks were excellent as was the spa which we visited and enjoyed a Balinese massage Daily yoga/pilates were very welcoming and situated in a wonderful pavilion on the beach. Excellent well equipped small gym with new equipment, well maintained and clean I would rate this an excellent boutique hotel Very friendly welcome with tour of the grounds and expert demonstration of room facilities Wifi coverage all over the resort including the beach La luna thanks for making our weeks stay so pleasant and trouble free Friendly thought Maybe a buffet dinner or breakfast, featuring some local foods ( The Belmont estate does an excellent buffet) We heard that your monkey bar did an “oil down” which we didn’t have time to experience due to leaving on that day and I also heard that maybe an outdoor kitchen being installed there? Maybe that would address some of the food options All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel over the International all in resorts on Grand Anse, far nicer!

We spent two weeks all inclusive here in one of their delux cottages. The room as is they describe in the Balinese style and we found it clean and really comfortable with great views over the bay. All the staff very friendly and created a very relaxing atmosphere and service was always great. Highly recommend this as a place to visit and/or stay when visiting the island. And I’d recommend the spa treatments. We and other guests never had a complaint.

We had an exceptional stay here. Our cottage was fantastic with its own little dip pool, deck and view. The property offers beachfront swimming, an art studio, a spa, and a swimming pool with adjacent bar and covered sitting area. The grounds are extensive and are decorated with whimsical artwork and shaded paths to stroll. The restaurant was consistently excellent for all meals (however we only had breakfasts and dinners). While we love Grenada and often get out to explore the island, this property offers anything you could possibly want for a reclusive, restful getaway. But what impressed us the most was the manner in which all of the staff consistently went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. To a person, they all seemed genuinely motivated to make our stay a great experience. And it was. We will certainly return and recommend LaLuna to friends and family.

We loved Grenada and are very happy we chose to stay at LaLuna. We were greeted by Tracy when we arrived. Tracy was super sweet and very helpful with anything we needed during our stay. We stayed in cottage 10. While it is not one of the cottages at the top of the hill, it is still a hike up quite a few steps. We loved our cottage. The deck was wonderful with the comfortable furniture and we even stayed out there during some of the brief showers..The plunge pool was not really anything special but a nice, private feature nonetheless. The bathroom as many mention, is basically outside. That was not our favorite. It is pretty much all concrete and got very warm. It wasn’t a huge issue for us but would be better if the areas other than the shower were enclosed. The food at LaLuna was excellent. Our stay included breakfast which was great and offered a lot of choices. We had lunch a few times and dinner twice on property. Again, the food was very good. The service was also wonderful. Our server most of the time was Rawla, and she was lovely. I participated in a yoga class with Fay. The pavilion is a beautiful place to practice yoga. I enjoyed the class but it was more meditation than yoga. I was still happy that I went as it was very relaxing. I also had a massage with Adi(?) which was probably the best massage I've ever had. Lying on the massage table listening to the birds singing and the fountain trickling outside made it magical. Thank you to everyone at LaLuna (Tracy, Rawla, Jeannette, Dwight, Tricia, and more) for making our trip so fun and special. The location is amazing and we loved the boutique feel and Bohemian vibe at the hotel. We will be telling our friends and family to add Grenada (and especially LaLuna) to their bucket lists.

My husband and I stayed at La Luna Hotel in July. He planned it as a surprise celebration for our 40th anniversary. Unfortunately, it was not what we had expected. We have traveled all over the world visiting all 7 continents and mostly prefer to stay in small boutique hotels....

My husband and I stayed at La Luna Hotel in July. He planned it as a surprise celebration for our 40th anniversary. Unfortunately, it was not what we had expected. We have traveled all over the world visiting all 7 continents and mostly prefer to stay in small boutique hotels. He briefly read about this hotel on Tripadvisor and because it was a spur-of-the-moment trip, he didn’t take his timing reading reviews, especially the negative ones. He purchased a 4-night stay at $600.00 dollars a night; breakfast not included. He notified the hotel that this was a special occasion. Usually hotels give small perks for special occasions, this was definitely not the case at La Luna. When we arrived, the taxi driver took us to a tiny room which they call the “reception area” and a lady named Shennaya checked us in. The first thing we noticed was that the pool was not very clean; In the time we spent there, we never once saw anyone use it except to rinse the sand off their feet. Red flag #1. Shennaya then took us to the room and showed us around; the room was dated and in desperate need of renovation. The bathroom is separated from the bedroom by a door which you had to lock before you left the room otherwise anyone can come into your room. Also, there was no A/C in the bathroom because it had an “outdoor shower” so don’t plan on spending much time doing your makeup or drying your hair; it was worse than a sauna. To make matters worse, there was always a terrible stench in the bathroom which permeated itself into the towels (which were torn and stained). There were also tons of mosquitos and bugs, which is expected in the Caribbean, so ensure you bring bug repellent or be prepared to pay $20 a can at the hotel since they do not provide this to their guests like other 5 star hotels do. The plunge pool is literally a concrete hole in the ground, not painted or finished, with a floating filter that never worked. The restaurant staff was also not properly trained or for that matter, have any common sense. During our first breakfast, I asked for cream for my coffee and they brought me butter cream frosting. On our last day, we were lounging by the pool when we heard a loud noise and saw a plume of smoke; they were fumigating grounds. No notice was provided to guests, so with that, all the guests fled to their rooms as did we. We then decided to relax in our room’s terrace when we noticed all the smoke and fumes coming into our terrace, that was the end of a relaxing afternoon. After the second night’s dinner, we knew we had to leave even though we were not going to be reimbursed for the last day. We found another beautiful property very close by and stayed there for the last day, which by the way was spectacular! And because our three days of awfulness there wasn’t enough, the hotel staff had the audacity to call the new hotel looking for us to tell us we had incidentals to pay for when we had not yet checked out. We never told them we were leaving or checking out so assuming they watched us walk over to the other hotel — creepy. Unfortunately, we have many more negative things to say and could go on for a while. The only silver lining is the opportunity to write this review and save other travelers the hassle of staying at La Luna.

Looking for a fantastic place to release stress and anxiety and reconnect to the world? We were, and spending a week at Laluna Resort worked wonders. The spot is unique: a secluded beach bounded by two promontories where tropical trees grow in the sand offering a calming shade, the water is emerald and pristine and the only sound you may hear comes from the birds, the wind blowing through the leaves and the gentle lapping of the waves. The resort is beautifully embedded in the rock, perfectly in tune with the nature all round. Super clean and kept superbly well. The staff is amazing, friendly, polite, and always available. Although there are outside restaurants around, we ended up eating at the resort, since we liked the atmosphere and the food, of course: an interesting combination of Italian cousins mixed with tropical flavors. What else??? Ah, yes: Bravi, Bernardo e Wendy, a presto! Kip & Cristina

LaLuna was maybe one of my favorite resorts. First off Grenada was a beautiful place to visit and the vast majority of local people we spoke to were incredibility friendly and hospitable. We stayed in a deluxe cottage with Caribbean Sea View which was truly amazing. I would classify as refined rustic. The views from your front porch, your bed, and even your open air but enclosed shower are incredible. I would have loved air conditioning in the bathroom, but the unit in the bedroom would have to suffice. Although there is only one restaurant the food was excellent with enough options for several meals there that week. The service was second to none. Everyone was extremely friendly and none of it felt forced or contrived. Although the pool and beach area is smaller, there is no need for anything more since it is so private with so few guests. Definitely visit the spa! The Balinese Couples Massage was incredible. We will definitely be returning and cannot say enough good things about the resort or the staff.

My husband and I visited Laluna to celebrate my birthday on Thursday, March 14, 2024. We purchased the $99 US per person day pass which included a morning yoga class, two-course lunch, 2 cocktails each, and access to common areas, shower, pool, beach chairs and WiFi. Check-in was casual and we were given a brief tour by a staff member. However, the extended check-in process meant that I arrived slightly late for the Vinyasa yoga class, led by an older white male instructor, which felt particularly awkward for a few reasons. The beach at Laluna was picturesque, but the surf was really rough, making swimming unpleasant. I even stepped on a piece of cactus in the water and had to pull a spine out of the sole of my foot, which was painful. We took a stroll to the neighbouring Silversands Beach House, which is newly opened and gorgeous. Lunch at Laluna was a mixed experience. For starters, my husband had the Caesar salad, which he found to be mediocre because of the milky dressing that doesn't resemble Caesar dressing. I had the jar callipo tuna and white beans, which was excellent. For the main course, I had the grilled fish with vegetables, which was quite good. His Laluna sandwich was average with the same milky dressing. The service was disappointingly slow, and we spent too much time waiting, as the entire meal took 2 hours to complete, which is ridiculous for a casual lunch. The server kept disappearing or ignoring us. After relaxing on the beach, we used the private bathroom, which was well-equipped with full size bath and body products and towels. Just be sure to turn on all the lights (as the lights are motion activated and turn off while in the shower). For dinner, we arrived just before 6:00 to choose a great table to enjoy the sunset. I enjoyed a delicious raw fish tartare topped with a very spicy raw green leafy veg (perhaps callaloo). For the main course, the lobster was not available. I had the conte artisanal pasta al ragu, which was average. My husband had the pumpkin ginger soup for his appetizer followed by "spicy Thai peanut chicken curry" on noodles, which were disappointing but that is to be expected at an Italian restaurant in Grenada. We spent EC 282.83 for a two course dinner for two ($104.75 US) without drinks. Service at dinner was better than at lunch. Despite it being my birthday, there was no acknowledgment from the staff at any point during the day or night. They definitely knew it was my birthday as I had mentioned it twice (prior to our arrival in Grenada) when making and confirming the reservations on WhatsApp. While Laluna has its boho chic rustic charms, including a beautiful tiny beach and amenities, the overall experience was marred by slow, inattentive service, a lack of attentive hospitality, and average food quality. With some improvements, it could be a fantastic destination.

Upon arrival you know that you are in a friendly and relaxing environment. The staff truly go out of their way to ensure you are cared for. The setting is lovely, the beach private, the Monkey Bar fun, the cottages are spacious and airconditioned, and the bathrooms bring the outside...

Upon arrival you know that you are in a friendly and relaxing environment. The staff truly go out of their way to ensure you are cared for. The setting is lovely, the beach private, the Monkey Bar fun, the cottages are spacious and airconditioned, and the bathrooms bring the outside in...you'll know what I mean when you visit...it is a fantastic set up. We did a couples massage and the two Balinese ladies did a superb job. The restaurant staff are extremely accommodating and I suggest you try the seafood salad. If I were to share one caution it would be stairs.....the resort is a cascading set of cottages, some single, some double (you have a next door neighbor) and all require some climbing of steps to reach your room. The views are worth it, but just know that going to the beach, or the pool, or the pool bar, or the yoga pavilion or the Balinese Spa, or the Monkey Bar, or the restaurant, means you walk down steps, and then up steps to go back to your room. Again, the place is worth it.

My husband and I just spent a week at LaLuna and it was absolutely wonderful! We loved the chill vibe, the Balinese decor, the solitude of the location. The beach is stunning. Lots of options for lounging on the beach - near the bar, on beach loungers in the sand, under pavillion near the yoga place. We snorkeled and floated in the warm calm water. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every day and several nights for dinner - it was excellent every time and the ambiance in the outdoor setting is so relaxing. We can't say enough about this place. We rented a car but hardly used it because the hotel setting was so relaxing and had everything we needed, we didn't really want to leave even to explore the rest of the island! Highly recommend.

My partner and I loved our week stay at Laluna. We are very low key travelers and like to feel like the only people on the beach and we got that vibe at Laluna. We stayed in villa 11, which I had requested as I heard the views from this villa were the best. They definitely did not disappoint. Although the top villas might have the best views, they share a wall with another villa which could be a nightmare scenario if you have a loud neighbor. You can hear your neighbors easily through the walls. Fortunately we did not have a neighbor for most of the trip and when someone did check in they were very quiet so this was a non-issue for us. Just good to know before booking the top villas (I think its 11-14). Also getting to the room from the beach is a steep walk so keep that in mind as well. I personally enjoyed the extra workout to the top of the hill, but I could see this walk multiple times a day being difficult for some. The room itself was lovely, bed firm and very comfortable. Sleeping in AC was a huge plus as we usually sleep at eco friendly resorts without AC. The open air shower was great. Our balcony is where we spent most of our time when we were in the villa. The view was spectacular. The room was spotless every day with magic house cleaning that we never even saw. As well as turn down service. We had the gym to ourselves every morning and enjoyed yoga classes on the beach with different classes daily. Snorkeling right off the beach was amazing on clear days. We kayaked to another cove and found a secret beach. Bocce, Monkey Bar and plunge pool multiple times. Do not be in a hurry because drinks and food service are not quick, but again this was not an issue for us at all. We acclimated to island time very quickly. Slow down and enjoy every minute. Staff was super attentive and kind. We loved Trish and enjoyed talking to all the bartenders and staff. Tracey was lovely, courteous and attentive. I had the best balinese massage of my life. Truly the best. My only regret was not getting another one. Drinks and restaurant were amazing. We ate most of our meals at the resort and enjoyed everything. Fresh catch of the day, seafood salad and the ravioli all my personal faves. If love to go back soon. If you are looking for a relaxing chill spot - this is it.

Laluna Boutique Hotel & Villas: Laluna is definitely one of my favorite resorts in the world. I’ve traveled globally to 160+ countries, slept and dined from riverbanks to treetops. Laluna is your premium destination for a boutique eco-resort. Let me step back; I lived in Bali for several years. It’s the place that my spirit separated from my body and just felt humans as energy. Laluna ignited this very feeling as soon as I drove into the resort. If you’re looking for that healing experience, restorative experience, decor, or just a great away wanderlust stay; Laluna is your best option in Grenada. Next is the Staff! They literally surrender to the guests and make you feel at home. I should highlight one of the Managers at this resort by name. Tracey is a gem and a true leader. With her beautiful charming demeanor; I watched her take charge and lead the staff like a true military general. No matter what you need, if it could be done; you’ll get it and if not the entire team will bend backwards for the guest. I honestly miss this place. I also believe that part of this premium service and attention to details stems from its family owned and oriented nature and being a chain resort. Balinese Spa: Oops! I almost left out my most gratifying moment. How about visiting the Spa and meeting actual Balinese girls offering the Spa services? I speak little Balinese and Bahasa so it was like a reunion. Bali allover again in Grenada! That’s Laluna for you! Suksma! My Honest Recommendation: I highly recommend this Boutique Eco-resort and Villas to all travelers but especially those seeking sustainable Eco friendly experiences. Very safe for all travelers including couples, solo trailers or corporate hybrid traveler. It’s private and safe .

We stayed at Laluna for a week and had a very nice time. It is a laid-back place in a beautiful setting and if you want to relax and enjoy the beach, sunset and views, it is wonderful. We had breakfast there every morning, and the food was good. Dinners were good too for the most part. (in general, we found the food on the island was always adequate but never really outstanding--but Laluna was up there with the best) There is a bar and a nice covered seating area. Housekeeping was outstanding-- clean rooms, fresh towels, and made beds daily--and a turn-down service at night. The plunge pool is the best thing to relax in the evening and watch the stars. The staff was friendly. Tracy at the front desk is outstanding! If you come here, you should know you will need a taxi to get into town--Grand Anse or St. George and all the island restaurants and excursions. That can be a bit of an expense, but worth it if you need to do something other than hang out and relax at the resort. The front desk can help you hire a taxi and let you know the appropriate rates. We had a driver take advantage of us and insist we pay $24 dollars US/64.86 EC one way to get to the IGA supermarket (can buy everything there, including alcohol). This should have been 40 EC/16 dollars US at most. We refused to drive home with him and took another taxi who was sitting there waiting for a fare after he agreed to our price. We were lucky to come across a reliable driver to use regularly, who charged us 40 EC /16 US to get to Grand Anse--and 50 EC to get to the airport and that area (also the Aquarium restaurant). It will help if you have these amounts in mind and you tell the driver this is what you are paying. Also, know that some cabins are closer to the beach and require not much walking (beach cottage deluxe) some are freestanding but higher up on the hill (Deluxe cottage) and some (Cottage suite) are way up on the hill and share a wall with another cabin. We were in one of these cabins and got a lot of exercise going up and down those stairs. The walls are pretty thin--we had no problem for most of our stay with neighbors being courteous and not talking too loudly or late in the night or early in the morning--but there was a night when we did not sleep well due to the inconsiderate neighbor. One suggestion to the hotel is to find a way to block noise from the adjoining room. This is not an inexpensive hotel, and it seems reasonable to expect a quieter experience. A bonus at the resort is the daily yoga. I took a wonderful class with Leslie (Vinyassa)--just the right mix of poses and stretches, not too rigorous. Stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, sail boats and snorkel equipment are there for use. Beach towels are provided. As with all places, the chair situation (unfortunately) can become competitive, with people putting down towels to claim their chairs (with umbrellas and shade) early. Luckily, the place is small and if there are no day-trippers, shade chairs are usually available. The staff will bring more chairs out for you, too. I like to exercise and found it safe to walk from the upper cabin road out the exit toward town and do an out-and-back with nice views. But be wary of cars and taxis.
