Reviews of La Zebra
My husband and I had the best time at La Zebra.
Arturo, Ricardo and Francisco were so helpful and kind.
The food was amazing, the hotel quiet and perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend their spa. It was one of the best.
We will definitely go back.

We just got back from an incredible stay at La Zebra and honestly can't stop thinking about it! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special. Juan Carlos at the front desk was an absolute gem - he went above and beyond to make our stay magical, taking care of every little detail with such warmth and attentiveness.
The beachfront location is absolutely perfect - quieter than other parts of Tulum beach but still close to everything. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed with that perfect "jungle chic" vibe. The plush daybeds on the creamy sand under thatched parasols became our favorite spot to relax.
The food at La Zebra Restaurant was a highlight of our trip. We couldn't get enough of their creative Mexican cuisine - everything from the fresh ceviche to the tacos was incredible. The cocktails were next level too, especially during sunset with those Caribbean views.
What really made our stay special was the incredible staff. Beyond Juan Carlos's amazing hospitality, the entire team treated us like family. They remembered our preferences and went out of their way to make every moment special.
We're already planning our next trip back. If you're thinking about staying at La Zebra, just do it - you won't regret it! Special shoutout again to Juan Carlos for making our stay absolutely unforgettable.

The level of service and kindness from the stuff was outstanding, we experienced a 5 star service level from a 4 star hotel. A special thank you to Esteban, Lucy, Juan Carlos and Francisco. The location is perfect, just in the middle of the beach strip, surrounded by restaurants, bars, pharmacy and mini markets.
The wide stretch of fine white sand is just fabulous, it didn't even got hot at midday. We were so lucky, there was little to not seaweed and the water was perfect temperature.

Although the restaurants were closed when we arrived, he provided us with small meals upon check-in which was a wonderful and thoughtful surprise! The location is perfect, staff service and attention to detail is amazing, and the food terrific! We will definitely stay here again next time.

This hotel is nothing short of amazing. The grounds were immaculate, the service was impeccable, the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional...and the food experiences we will remember forever.
As mentioned, the grounds were immaculate, and the decor was bright and fun. The beach cabanas and water are straight out of a movie. The resort is great for couples and, at the same time, very family-friendly. We initially planned numerous excursions and other off-site activities, but once we arrived, we only left the resort for dinner a few nights and shopping during the day. It's so wonderful you don't need or want to leave.
We were greeted by Juan Carlos and Lucy when we checked in, and they were so helpful throughout the stay. Before arrival, they were very responsive to our questions about the area, restaurants, and potential excursions. During our stay, they were a delight to visit with and always provided top-notch guidance on our questions.
The food at Le Zebra was unbelievably good. You have to experience The Chef's Table, it's a must. Chef's Table is an eight-course tasting menu with beverage pairings and is great value. We hesitated initially because of the price, but we realized it also included tax and service fees, so the meal cost was roughly $140 USD per person. We were also still trying to figure out the conversion rates. The experience was worth every penny and was our favorite meal of the trip. To put this into perspective, we also ate at three Michelin-star restaurants (ARCA, Casa Banana, and Hartwood) within walking distance from the hotel. Chef Eleazer and Chef Jacobo are masters of their craft and their passion for the culinary arts is present during every interaction. They presented each of the eight courses and detailed the local ingredients and historical significance in the local cultures. It was so fun. Ulises was our server during Chef's Table and also throughout numerous breakfasts, lunches and cocktail hours. He was so friendly, bright and cheerful it was an absolute joy to meet him. When we had to say goodbye it felt like we were leaving a friend.
We also took advantage the Tortilla and Salsa class. Chef Jacobo led us during this experience, and he was so much fun. Again, the culinary passion and joy he brought to the experience was just as good as the fresh salsa, tortillas and mojito.
Additionally, while we were there, we had access to the sister property next door, Lula. We used the workout facilities, took a cold plunge, and enjoyed breakfast one day. It was also excellent. There was so much more to do at both properties; we just didn't have time during our 6 days, which sounds crazy.
I can't say enough good things about this property, the staff, and the overall experience. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

My husband and I spent four nights at La Zebra in a beachfront penthouse. The room was nice and very comfortable. The hotel is located right on the white-sand beach, steps from the ocean.
The staff was lovely and very helpful in terms of arranging transportation, tours, and spa appointments for us. Thanks to Francisco, Juan Carlos, and the rest of the front desk team for your assistance.
There was a beachfront cabana reserved for our daily use, and we were able to order food and drinks from the comfort of our lounger. Great cocktails and tacos!
My husband and I ate breakfast, lunch, and all but one dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The food was delicious and the menu had a good variety; the service was attentive and gracious. Walking along the busy main road is a little unnerving, so we ventured off-property for dinner only one night - to the absolutely amazing Hartwood, a relatively short walk away.
One afternoon we took advantage of the spa - which is located at their sister hotel next door - for 90-minute deep tissue massages by the wonderful Morelli and Vittoria (I’m so sorry if I have misspelled your names!). The treatments were very relaxing.
Overall, my husband and I had a lovely time. We would recommend La Zebra to others and would definitely stay here again if we return to Tulum.

We stayed in La Zebra in mid January for 4 nights. I wished I booked longer. It is located on georgous Tulum beach with white sands and Palm trees. The beach club and food is really good. The ambiance is really nice. Our room was located on the beach with a plunge pool, which was heated whenever we asked for it. The room was very spacious with a nice decoration, exclusive Mexican atmosphere. The room is cleaned everyday. We found hot ginger tea and chocolates every night when we arrived in our room. You have everything ready in the room, from umbrellas to yoga mats, brewed Mexican coffee. Front desk team, Lucy, Ricardo, Estaban were great. Our special thanks to Juan Carlos, he helped us in everthing we asked for, from restaurant recommendations to private excursions. I would definetely recommend La Zebra to anyone travelling to Tulum. Come with or without children. Tulum Tips: The parties in Tulum begin with brunch, continues with sunset, dinner and night. Entertainment anytime of the day:)))

Great food and good customer service, but the noisy beach club vibe is a reason to stay away. The photograph on Trip Advisor shows the beach with maybe 10 cabanas, but I counted 35 on our trip this past weekend, crammed together liked sardines in a can. Non-hotel guests pay to use to the beach with a daily drink and food minimum. The sound system blasted music from 10 AM to 6 PM every day non-stop, each track with a deep bass beat that we could feel through our walls. I had to use BOSE headphones to have some peace. We paid for an ocean front room and asked for a quiet location, but there were 5-6 cabanas right in front of our deck with people passing back and forth all day long. Neither the Hilton site through which we booked NOR the Zebra website mentions the presence of a beach club. For this reason, our stay was a HUGE disappointment. Next time, we will return to Beach Tulum hotel which does not have a club and offers a better beach and more relaxing experience.
