We had a wonderful 7 nights in a beach villa on the sunset side of the island. From the moment we arrived with a wonderful reception from staff we felt welcome. Asham gave us a detailed description of the island and where and who to contact if we needed anything,he escorted us to our room and explained everything inside that we needed to know,our room was perfect! Fantastic outdoor bathroom with all the toiletries we needed ,and a large airy living/sleeping area.Vinod was our room boy and he was fantastic,I wish I could make beds like him,nothing was too much trouble for him such a lovely man. We had an all inclusive package which was great so much choice at the bars and restaurants thank you Vipin for great G &Ts,,the food choices were amazing,different every day.Asim was our server ,attentive,humorous and fun another ambassador for the resort.Shoutout to Naren on the tandoor station amazing naan and bbq meats and fish. We had a great experience with Godson making a fish curry for us,hoping it tastes as good when we try to recreate it at home. Very lucky to have experienced this little island,hopefully we’ll be back.

Outstanding from start to finish! Our third time in the Maldives but by far the best. Wonderful staff, gorgeous and well-maintained surroundings, and delicious food. We stayed in a jacuzzi villa, Manta 4, on the sunrise side of the island and loved it - wonderful views, great snorkelling on the doorstep, and turtles bobbing about. Paradise. Special mention to Asim who looked after us so well at every meal, and to Yusoof on reception, who dealt with our inability to use the app with patience and great good humour 😀 See you next year!

We have just had our 3rd visit to Komandoo We are going back in April for number 4. So obviously we love it. 😊 The staff are excellent. And the island has a lovely atmosphere We like to chill when we are there so beach villa for us is perfect My husband dives and the prodiver team are his first go to to book his dives. Loves the underwater scooter. And always wants to see the big stuff. Sharks mantas ect. Sitting on the ar deck in the evening by the water with a cocktail. Perfect. 😎.

Our three nights stay in an ocean villa at Komandoo resort was truly exceptional. the villa itself was a heaven of tranquility with the direct access to the sea. the service, staff, meals and everything were excellent. The resort arranged snorkelling for us at a reasonable price.

A wonderful little island which has a plus of being adults only ! We had great accommodation ( stayed in Turtle 5) . Room was spacious and clean and had everything we required . We were wonderfully looked after by Ibrahim who always left little surprises - loved the towel...

A wonderful little island which has a plus of being adults only ! We had great accommodation ( stayed in Turtle 5) . Room was spacious and clean and had everything we required . We were wonderfully looked after by Ibrahim who always left little surprises - loved the towel animals he created ! Food was great and we were looked after very well by Riza our waiter , who incidentally prepared a lovely table for our 25 th wedding anniversary. A credit to all the staff on the island who work so hard to make it a memorable experience. A visit to the 5.8 under water restaurant is a wonderful experience with great food. Some great wildlife too on the island and especially loved the fruit bats at dusk flying over whist enjoying a cocktail . All in all a fantastic four days relaxing after a busy twelve days in Sri Lanka . Thank you to Ahshram who greeted us and was there if we needed anything .

It's the second time I've been back to this magnificent island, a fantastic place. We were treated very well and I would like to thank these people: Marianne of the reception always available and professional Ibrahim who cleaned our Villa Beach, very good and precise, number one. Jumaan our waiter always at our service and very friendly Reza the very friendly waiter Saeed for cleaning the Water Villa A compliment to all the staff in the kitchen for the great food and service. I thank all the other collaborators who work at Komandoo and contribute to the well-being of the guests.

November 2024, our third visit to Komandoo & sadly, almost certainly our last. The location remains fabulous. Garden & cliff reef snorkelling, wonderful. Food, varied & delicious. Staff, really welcoming & friendly. Spa treatments, blissful. The accommodation, dreadful! On our previous two visits & again this time, we booked a beach villa with jacuzzi. We were shown to Marlin 5 & first impressions; dirty cushions on the patio chairs, ripped parasol, torn & grubby nets, nails sticking out of the door, peeling paint. We looked further inside, dirty lampshades, peeling paint, mould in the bathroom, the amenities were simply worn out. It was soooo shabby, run down & so totally not what we’d enjoyed previously. The room felt totally unloved, what a shame! The resort did their best to rectify & replace, but the shine really had gone & a lick of paint was woefully insufficient. We were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary & we felt like the hotel inspectors finding fault after fault after fault, with no other rooms available. We tried to make the best of things, but ultimately would have remembered our anniversary for all the wrong reasons if we hadn’t chosen to transfer, at our expense to neighbouring Kudadoo, which is a totally different level of luxury & quite exquisite! Latterly we learned the resort had been without a general manager for 6 months, maybe the incoming one will effect the desperately needed overhaul. We wanted, simple, relaxed & charming from Komandoo. Sadly, we got shabby & worn out.

A wonderful wind down after a stressful December. It was a lovely stay in a relaxed and remote location where the staff were all so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Lots to do if you want it or plenty of space to do nothing if that’s what you prefer.

We got home last night after another fantastic holiday (this time our honeymoon).. we will definitely be back again next year. Everything was just perfect - the food, the entertainment, the weather, the snorkelling, and we were even given the same water villa as last year - Eagle Ray 13!...

We got home last night after another fantastic holiday (this time our honeymoon).. we will definitely be back again next year. Everything was just perfect - the food, the entertainment, the weather, the snorkelling, and we were even given the same water villa as last year - Eagle Ray 13! Thank you to all the staff, especially Haneef, Kaleem, Faisal, Naren, Suraj, Asitha & Santosh.. these guys are honestly a credit to the island and the reason we return 🫶🏼♥️

The most amazing 1st experience in the Maldives, from the moment we stepped off of the boat, all of the staff were incredible, friendly, welcoming, and could not do enough for you! Beautiful island and amazing food. Maryana on reception and Jamaan in the restaurant were amazing. The dive team were so helpful and we were able to see several turtles and Rays with their advice! Thank you to our lovely housekeeper, Faisal, for the beautiful little touches each evening! Special thanks to Beyya & Madhah for making this an unforgettable trip! We cannot wait to come back!

A huge thank you to Bayya and every one of the Champions – your hospitality knows no bounds – the whole experience exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Ashwan Ramiz (missing the coffee) and Sanwar you looked after us and the missing passports! Room – we stayed in a premium beach villa on the sunrise side, although yes the room is dated but very comfortable, clean and spacious, after all you only spend time when you go to bed. Food – The buffet was always varied and of high quality. WOW the gala dinner on Christmas eve was mind blowing and the presentation amazing – thank you to the chefs and restaurant staff. Island – the only word is stunning, the snorkelling fantastic and the marine/wildlife just leaves you in awe. 5.8 restaurant – This was a very special treat and not too cheap but if you can book it. The food and ambiance are so worth it. This was a bucket list holiday but we can understand why they have so many repeaters, it just ticks all the boxes, relaxing, great service with a hotel who cares about each customer. We are already trying to book for 2025/2026 I am now an unofficial champion on the welcome to Komandoo team. Hope to see you and the next 12 months

“A little slice of Paradise”,that’s the impression my wife Corinne and I have of “Komandoo Island Resort &Spa” where we spent Christmas and our wedding Anniversary during our stay from 23rd to 28th December 2024. Our beautiful beach villa overlooking the clear waters of the lagoon was amazing and so well maintained by the ever smiling room attendant Faisal who also had a pleasant surprise for us on our anniversary on the 27th . Munish, our pleasant Island host showed us around and was available at all times co-ordinating our various activities. Meals at the Falhu restaurant where we were so well taken care of by Wahhab our waiter were simply sumptuous with different cuisines each day.We also had an amazing fine dining experience at the Aqua restaurant on our anniversary. Most of the Musical and other entertaining events were at the Kandu and Thandi Bars where we experienced great music as well as awesome cultural performances, not forgetting the Christmas cocktail party at the beach followed by the sumptuous Christmas Gala dinner. Hats off to the General Manager Beyya and Director of Operations Madhah, two really very accommodating and down to earth individuals who made us feel so much at home, sending us into splits of laughter with their sense of humour,We can never forget the warmness with which you all have welcomed us and the tinge of sadness we felt seeing you all waving goodbye to us at the jetty when leaving. Au revoir Komandoo Island Resort &Spa and all your wonderful staff !

We have just returned from our 9th visit to this jewel of an island and have had the most wonderful time. The food is absolutely delicious and as return guests we were welcomed back like family. Staff can’t do enough for you and management are always around to chat to and listen to your comments. Bed linen and towels are spotless and our room was expertly taken care of by Moosa. The island is so beautiful and peaceful with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Highly recommended.

We had a stunning time on a wonderfully peaceful island. The water bungalow was such a memorable experience. The service was excellent and every member of staff so friendly and helpful. The food was top quality and there was a good variety. We couldn’t fault a single thing.

A small tropical island of golden sand surrounded by the warm calm water of the Indian Ocean. Snorkeling with turtles was a highlight and the housereef was teeming with fish. The cottages are private, spacious and clean with an outside bathroom that is often shared with small lizards. The food was delicious and very varied and the staff helpful and friendly. The seaplane is quite expensive but Komandoo take care of all arrangements and ensure you are met and transferred efficiently. Definitely a must do for anyone wanting to experience a true 5* Maldivian Island. We will return.
