Kimpton Kitalay Samui, an IHG Hotel

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. They acknowled my birthday when we arrived and also did everything to accommondate us in the best way. The weather wasn’t perfect but enjoyed nice spa treatments. The food was delicious and especially loved Shio.

This was the 4th Hotel of 5 on a 3 week trip to Thailand. In summary our Beach front Villa with pool was great but our experience in the rest of the Hotel was poor to very average. You cannot reserve sunbeds on the beach at the front the Villa (unlike all other Hotels on our trip). Large very messy families settle on the beach in front of your Villa early and stare into your room! There are too few beds for the occupants of the Hotel. Pool areas always massively crowded. The overall resort had the feel of Club Med at 3x Club Med prices. Our Butler (Thunder ) was great but service in other areas was poor. Room service food remains were still there outside front door on 2 occasions. Breakfast always super crowded. Facilities seem too small for the level of occupancy. Great room, pretty poor Hotel. Also area outside Hotel very run down. We wont be back, sorry.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, the staff is very professional and friendly. We loved the fishhouse restaurant and the staff their are amazing. The housekeeping team is spectacular and very thoughtful. We had a lovely stay at the Kimpton and would love to return for our next vacation.

Besides, the cooking course is highly recommended!!! Chef Banana is very patient and kind, who has taught us many knowledge of Thai ingredients and also culture of food history. It’s sooo good to get to know a place’s culture through food experiences! Had great stay here for our honeymoon! Will definitely come back!:)

This was our first trip to the Far East as a couple and we were overwhelmed with the great service, product and location of the hotel. From the moment we stepped in, it was like we were at our home away from home. There was so much positive energy everywhere....

We recently stayed at the Kimpton Hotel and I want to start by saying that the staff and service were absolutely excellent—always friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was also very good but we found the drink prices to be unreasonably high. One thing to note is that the atmosphere is very family-oriented. By 9 PM, most guests are in their rooms and the bar closes by 9:45 PM, which makes it less ideal for couples looking for a more lively or relaxing evening. During our stay, about 80% of the guests were families with very little children, which led to a lot of noise during breakfast and at the pool. This is, of course, not the hotel’s fault but rather due to some parents not managing their kids’ behavior. For couples without children looking to relax, I would recommend investing in an adults-only hotel instead. While the Kimpton is undoubtedly a fantastic choice for families, it’s not the best fit for those seeking a peaceful and quiet escape. All in all, it’s a great hotel with wonderful staff, but as a couple without kids, we wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights in the pool entry room. The hotel grounds are perfect. All the facilities are close walk. The hotel caters to families. If you are looking for quietness then suggest you book a villa. The pool is one of the best on Samui. The gym was...

We stayed for 3 nights in the pool entry room. The hotel grounds are perfect. All the facilities are close walk. The hotel caters to families. If you are looking for quietness then suggest you book a villa. The pool is one of the best on Samui. The gym was functional and the steam room and sauna were nice to use afterwards. Suggest you take a walk a walk on the beach to the right to Pi beach club at the end, nice tunes in the afternoon.

Very comfortable pool access room. Soft sheets, nice pillows (also pillow menu) and very clean. Great to be able to jump in the pool direct from spacious room terrace. Lots of variety at breakfast buffet. Helpful concierge team and very warm welcome with lots of smiles throughout our whole stay....

Direct beach access and restaurant/food options are very good … Thai, Western, and other options. Beautiful gardens and overall a great vibe. Spa is beautiful. Thank you to Gift and Tong for our couples massage and facial. Highly recommended, and would stay here again.

Excellent hotel and soa! Facilities are well taken care of, and the services are perfect for the ultimate relaxation. Breakfast was extremely well though of, and with a variety of choices. My wide and I had a couples massage at the spa, which was great! Tong and Muay were excellent....
