We had a fantastic stay at the Kempinski, everything was wonderful the hotel is old world beautiful. Dinner at Fantino was a dining experience, the buffet each morning was just right. The beach and pool were also great with staff always ready to take care of anything. We upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite, which we could of lived in! We can not wait to go back.

The resort is great for people who are looking for a beautiful place to rest on their vacation. The staff is amazing and they take care of everything. The staff at the concierge were so helpful with anything we needed. Everyone was very efficient. The hotel is an elegant place with great restaurants and great pool service. The staff prepare your lounge for you, even creating a very comfortable towel pillow and leaving an extra towel. There are always people circulating to take your order for drinks or food. Both very high quality. I have to say, they make an amazing mojito and great chicken wings! Breakfast was perfect every morning with lots of choices. The wait staff, again very courteous and efficient. We only dined at two of the restaurants, the outdoor Casitas and the Club Grill. Casitas was very casual with great service and great food. The City Grill was a very elegant restaurant with jazz music that I’m glad we didn’t miss. The service was impecable and the food exquisite. I always order duck if it is on the menu and I can honestly say it was the best duck I ever had. And you must order the soufflé for dessert. One night we went to the D Lounge for cocktails and apps and to enjoy the live music. We also had room service when we were too tired to go out. The food was delivered very quickly by a very friendly waiter who set up the table by our sliding door so we could enjoy the beautiful view, arranged everything, and poured our drinks before leaving. And they came back to pick up as soon as we called them after we were done. We were very sad we had to leave. We are looking forward to going back to be spoiled again and to do the things we didn’t get to, like visit the last restaurant Fantino, have a private romantic dinner on the beach, and use the spa. We will also be reserving a cabana for as many days as we can get. Lying by the beach on a comfortable bed sipping cold wine or cocktails is the best and we only got to do it for two days. This isn’t the place for you if you are looking for parties into the morning, but if you are looking for quiet and elegance, this is it.

We just got back from spending 5 glorious days at Kempinski Cancun. I can't say enough good things about it. The staff, from front desk to bellman to pool/beach to spa to waiters at breakfast- they were all helpful and friendly and they smiled all the time! The hotel is gorgeous. It is well maintained, elegant and immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the twice daily maid service! Anything "extra" that we needed was provided quickly (ex toothbrush). When we needed a taxi the hotel provided a taxi who they use all the time and the driver became our personal taxi driver for the duration of our stay! The spa is luxurious and we had wonderful massages. The pools are beautiful and have more than enough comfortable seating. Kempinski is a quick ride to/from the airport yet we never heard planes overhead. The absolutely only issue is that due to the weather recently the beach has had some erosion and is therefore quite narrow (for now), and there was a large area of the beach that was closed off to guests for safety reasons. That being said, we sat on the beach every day without it feeling crowded. The water is stunning- just as it looks in the photos. We hope that someday we can return to Kempinski!

Best hotel in Cancun if you want a luxury stay. Ask for Ruben or get help with a tour from Cristobal, they are exceptional at making your stay special. You will want to come back every year! Most beautiful beach and the best service in Cancun. I will be back.

It’s been 20 years since we last stayed here. The staff were the highlight. High level of professionalism and courteousness. Claudia and Jose by the Villas were great. The property is dated and in need of a full restoration, especially the exterior. Peeling and mismatched paint, crumbling stucco. Not the level of quality we’ve experienced at other Kempinski properties (Munich and Berchtesgaden). Food was delicious with good service. We celebrated our anniversary in The Club Grill, the Manager was particularly attentive as was Leonardo. The staff treated us with special care and the live duet was terrific. The spa locker room / shaving cream but no disposable razors, a single brush and comb - shared use? Gross. Also, $70 USD for sunscreen in your store? Outrageous. Room was comfortable, clean, and nice view. Overall, a very relaxing experience.

We are world travelers and stay at only luxury hotels. We can say that the Cancun Kempinski (formerly the Ritz) is one of the nicest winter beach vacations we have ever had. Every thing about this property is top notch, fresh flowers throughout the hotel , meticulously clean rooms and common areas and staff that really understands guest service. Many staff members have been with the hotel long term and they are proud the hotel and the work they do. That converts to genuinely friendly encounters with everyone who works at the hotel. We booked a room with access to the 8th floor club including food and beverages at breakfast, lunch , tea time and dinner. The food was always excellent with standard offerings for vegetarians and non-gluten guests at every single meal. The pastry chef is a genius!! Our club concierge (Iliana) took care of all our bookings so competently and helped us celebrate our anniversary in so many thoughtful ways. Thank you Iliana. All of the hotel staff across the board were ever so accommodating and friendly. This is a beautiful luxury hotel that spares nothing to please it’s guests including heating the pool water in one of its 3 very clean pools. Pool and beach service is excellent. The ocean waves vary according to the month, so check that out when making your decision about booking dates. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Kempinski.

Everything from the friendly staff, cleanliness of the entire property, and food were all five-star worthy. We hope to make a return trip back to Cancun next winter and will definitely spend our time at this gem of a resort. You won't be disappointed.

I debated going here because of negative reviews and grateful I didn’t pay attention to them. This is a superb hotel with 5 star service. It’s fairly close to the airport. The room we had was a double bed room facing the pool. The pool is stunning and the beach is steps away from the hotel. The food is exceptional and we received breakfast complimentary each day. The staff in the hotel are incredible . We met some loyal staff that have worked on the property for 25 years. Osman was our waiter and he takes a bus every morning from his home and it takes 2 hours each way. That is loyalty to a job. The gym is fantastic and has everything you need to workout. It happened to be very windy and there was no shade by the pool but that’s not the hotels fault. The beach does have seaweed but it’s soft sand. The only minor annoyance is they charge 30 dollars a day for shade on the beach. For the amount we pay that should be included. Also the spa is was too expensive. 200 for an hour of massage. I’d consider lower the price for patrons - otherwise they go elsewhere for massages (which we did). Otherwise fantastic hotel

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The staff was exceptional, as were our dining experiences and the care of the resort. We had a very minor incident with a bathroom appliance and it was fixed in minutes. The staff makes you feel like you are their only guest. Also, the width of their beachfront is amazing. Very wide, unlike many other resorts. We hope to be fortunate enough one day to stay at another Kempinski resort.
