The resort is truly amazing. The entire staff from the front desk, wait staff, and spa were incredibly helpful, friendly, and helped made our stay so enjoyable. We originally booked a sister resort nearby, but when they contacted us that our reservation was canceled as the resort was closing a bit earlier for renovations, they upgraded at this resort. So lucky that this happened. Already wishing to go back.

We recently stayed at a stunning hotel in Santorini, and it exceeded all expectations. The breathtaking view of the caldera from our room was nothing short of magical, perfectly matched by the hotel's beautiful and well-maintained facilities. Our private terrace, complete with a jetted tub, provided the ultimate spot for relaxation. The breakfast featured delicious local cuisine, offering a true taste of Greece. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, with Sophia, in particular, going above and beyond to make us feel right at home. It was an unforgettable experience, blending luxury and warmth effortlessly.

Our first time visiting the beautiful island of Santorini and stayed at the wonderful KATIKIES Hotel. The location is fantastic as it is a short walk to the restaurants and shops in town. The hotel itself like all others in Santorini are built into the mountains. The views from the hotel are simply spectacular. We stayed in Room 40, the honeymoon suite which was luxurious with a private pool overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The service at the hotel is world class as the staff is friendly, kind and courteous in trying to make the guests feel welcome and appreciated. A special acknowledgment to the men who handle the bags to and from your room as this not an easy task as since the hotel in placed in the mountain, there a many, many steps that is extremely challenging and hot. These folks handled it with grace and charm. The view from the two pools are one of a kind and a very special place on the planet and the service and food for lunch and dinner was simply superb. Angie was our server for most of our days at the pool where we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and cocktails. She was very nice and made us feel very appreciated and welcomed. The food at the resort is amazing, well prepared and presented. We cannot say enough good things about the food and service. All in all, a world class trip at the resort . The only comment I have is with regards pertaining to tips. It is not clearly stated when you check in that gratuities are not included and you have an option to take of tipping when you depart. I think it needs to be clarified so that you can make the appropriate decision and that the tips reach the great employees at KMy only comment to the negative is that tips are not included, and you find yourself tipping for every meal and when you get your service from the staff. When checking out when you receive your bill, you are asked if you would like to tip the staff which is fine if we would have known prior to our arrival or upon our arrival so that we could have handled it once and it took care of all the service staff. Again, if you are looking for a special resort in Santorini, KATIKIES checks all the boxes for a world class resort.

Beautiful hotel. Service superb. Would highly recommend. Stayed for a week, lot of time by the fabulous pool. Garden room was lovely with own plunge pool. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Can’t really say anything bad about this hotel.
Santorini experience at its finest.
Katikis Santorini exceeded our expectations! The location was excellent-within walking distance to all shops and restaurants in the Oia. The grounds were picture perfect- white interior and exterior, hundreds of stairs, breathtaking infinity pools- you name it. The food was as amazing as you would expect on any luxury hotel....

This was part of our trip to Athens (The Dolli hotel), Santorini then Paros (AvantMar). The hotel is amazing built into to the side of a cliff like many hotels. We stayed in room 26 which had its own plunge pool. Service was great. Like many hotels they use WhatsApp to provide service requests. There are a lot of stairs. They have two elevators one from floor -1 to 0 then a 30 second walk to the elevator from 0 to 1. We still had about 45 stairs to the first elevator and about 20 from floor 1 to the main road. In total it was 160+ steps from our room to leave the hotel. Location is great. Right at the beginning of the main shopping road in Oia. Two pools sometimes were very crowded. Would definitely stay again.

If you want to get as close to Heaven while on Earth you stay at Katikies in Santorini and you t book room 25. If all my Greek hotel reviews sound too good to be true it’s because Greece has been like no other country we have visited. The beauty is of course obvious but as I said earlier, the warmth and the treatment of tourists is second to none. And Katikies Santorini is no exception. From the greeting we had on arrival to our departure , it couldn’t get better. We were upgraded twice ( I am difficult) and suite 25 was actually to cry for out of happiness ( I cry when I am happy) . Sophia , the manager was SPECTACULAR . We even shared a personal conversation which had us both teary eyed . The beauty of Santorini is multiplied by the attention and perfect service at Katikies . After venturing out to the throngs of cruise tourists while walking the town we decided that the following day would be spent on the terrace just soaking up the beauty the Caldera offers. The outdoor restaurant for breakfast and dinner is amazing. The breakfasts are indescribable. The experience was truly magical. Thank you many times over to the manager Sophia and the terrific Panos in the restaurant!

Most things about this hotel are lovely. The main staff are mostly very kind and accommodating. There was one morning they even went through the trouble to bring our breakfast to our terrace and we had a bottle of wine waiting for us at check in. They are wonderful at taking care of reservations for restaurants etc.The views are beautiful and we had a lovely room. However, I unfortunately encountered two less than desirable policies that need change. *There isn’t a do not disturb policy or sign which is very much needed for the rooms. The maid woke us every morning of our stay! We came to relax and catch up on sleep not to be woken and to have to argue why we don’t want to get out of bed at 9am so she can clean when she wants to (regardless of the fact that we were sleeping in our bed she would continue the conversation). If it happened once it wouldn’t be a big deal but the fact that it wasn’t noted that we want to be left alone in the morning and it happened every day of our stay is a flaw with the hotel. The maid’s schedule seems more important than the guests experience, she kept asking to clean the room while we were in it regardless if we were sleeping or lounging on our balcony in swimsuits. I found it incredibly awkward. They need a better system. Maybe the front desk can ask us when we want our rooms cleaned or when we may be out during the day. I’m leaving here exhausted. *Second issue was their policy toward disabilities and health issues. I look healthy but I actually have a few heart conditions I’ve battled since childhood. I brought a sports drink with electrolytes to the pool (per my cardiologist’s recommendation to keep from fainting) and the staff told me I’m not allowed to bring outside drinks. I explained it was for my health and they don’t offer sports drinks which I NEED in the sun. She didn’t care about accommodations for diagnosed health issues or that I was in the middle of a dizzy spell and suggested I drink soda instead (I actually can’t have caffeine). I didn’t go on vacation to have my health issues be under attack and it ruined the environment for me! Not to mention that it’s a workout with many steps in the heat to get to and from the pool. This treatment was repulsive and someone should never be under attack for a health issue and their physical needs especially at a 5 star resort. It was never asked what she could do to make me feel better, she was just looking to make a sale not improve my stay or well being.

Whilst the accommodations might be viewed as not luxurious the rooms are individual and charming and clearly befit the location and history of the island. The service would however is what would be expected of any 5 star establishment , and we are fortunate to have visited a number that bear comparison in this respect. The a la carte breakfast is varied sufficiently for a 4-5. Day visit and the quality excellent. We chose to eat in the more relaxed champagne bar area in the evenings, but do not assume that quality of food or service levels are impacted by selecting the ‘second’ option at the hotel. The tasting menu at the re-nowned Starred restraint just didn’t float our boat, but looks very interesting. Finally the location has plenty of steps and so bad knees or hips are not advised although there are a couple of elevators …. Apparently ! This was a special visit for a special anniversary - if you are looking for something different and special give this hotel some consideration .

My wife and I along with our friends spent five night in Santorini. We did a lot of research as to where to stay and have been thrilled with our experience at Katikies. Unlike Fira, Oia is not overcrowded. The views from our room are amazing. The rooms are well appointed and all offer views. The breakfast is well done and the staff could not be nicer. Concierge attended to our every need and made our stay hassle free.
