The JW Marriott Resort Venice is truly a unique experience sitting on its own island about 20 minutes out from St. Mark Square via the hotel’s water shuttle and we found it easy to get back and forth. Roberto at reception got us all settled, despite our early arrival and delay in getting a very nice, upgraded room. We had access to everything on property while we waited. During our four nights stay, he greeted us by name every time we passed by in the lobby and made sure everything was going well. Our room was in the small La Residencia building, large room and bath plus a large patio, with table and chairs, lounges, umbrella and grassy area. We had two excellent lunches at Sagra and a wonderful room service meal our final night. The breakfast buffet each morning was plentiful and the staff worked very hard while remaining friendly and engaging. Our thanks also go out to Valentino and George who helped with luggage and water taxis; Ambra and Pasqual (the Italian one) at Guest Services, particularly when our morning train was cancelled during a strike; Manuel kept us in Ice and Leonardo made Room Service special and Ioana, Marco and Bonatesta R. made our food service experiences great. The resorts one disappointment was housekeeping services. It’s all in the details, toilet tissue not replaced in the holder, bath salts not replaced when used, towels hung up to be reused were replaced or towels on the floor to be replaced were not and the area rug around the bed that was dirty. Time for some retraining or better supervisor inspections.

Excellent overall in every area! We will cherish each moment at this resort. The grounds, spa, dining, staff, etc… nothing to be improved except perhaps the hours of spa and all dining options could be extended. Unfortunately we missed the restaurant near the gardens due to the season… Hope to...

Although our visit was off season, the hotel provided wonderful service, a spacious comfortable room, first class facilities (especially the heated rooftop pool) and good food. a varied and fresh buffet breakfast and a limited but creative menu in the rooftop restaurant.

This was an anniversary getaway just with my wife and I and I must say it was one of the greatest hotel stays of our lives. Roberto Aresti the general manager of the property had given me his personal contact info( after staying here last year) to coordinate the stay and he went out of his way to make this just fantastical! The entire hotel staff was just above and beyond ( everyone even knew our names, like in the far east high end properties) and catered to our every need. Aurora by the breakfast and the woman who runs the cafeteria were incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to cater to our dietary requirements! The shuttle to venice now runs a half hour earlier which for our schedule was fantastic. The staff in the spa was superb and Agenda at reservation there made sure everything went smoothly. Roberto gave us a fantastic upgrade and even coordinated with the marriot property in tuscany where we are staying next to ensure a similar experience there as well. The concierge was on top of any planning we needed. If Marriot was smart, they would take Roberto to oversee their entire Europe operations, I have yet to meet someone as responsive caring and generous as he is! I have already told most of my neighbors that this is the property they should visit when coming to venice. Thank you so much to Roberto and the entire JW staff for a most memorable stay! Sincerely Sam

We spent three weeks in Italy and this was by far our most expensive and worst experience. We stayed in the residences and our second contact upon arriva; was extremely rude. Our accommodations were not clean when we arrived (common touch items, plus the thank you to the previous guest), and the patio was not only in need of improvement, but unusable for anyone susceptible to mosquitos. While I appreciate Anna's attempt to improve our experience, the proposed solution was more outside time during the mosquito hour. The discount provided doesn't begin to cover the documented damage to my beautiful leather luggage or sway my opinion on this property.

It’s a hard pass for us. Not worth the money. There were constant issues. This Marriott the first part of our hotel stay, and we were disappointed all around. I would give three stars, but given the price point, I have to drop it to one. We were looking forward to luxury, and while the property is lovely, the hotel itself missed repeatedly due to constant unexplained surcharges. We had multiple issues with billing, and the hotel staff kept passing it off as a communication issue. The staff member we got at checkout was a trainee, and unable to resolve it. It wasn’t at all worth the trouble. Skip it and stay somewhere else.

Lovely hotel. Great services if you fancy a quiet day on the island though the taxi boat fo the mainland is excellent. Frequent, on time and can take less than 20mins depending on conditions. Great drop off point too. Good service from staff throughout, including any trainees you come across....
Lovely hotel. Great services if you fancy a quiet day on the island though the taxi boat fo the mainland is excellent. Frequent, on time and can take less than 20mins depending on conditions. Great drop off point too. Good service from staff throughout, including any trainees you come across. Fabulous spa which is worth a visit. 24 hour gym for workout so no restrictions which anyone reading my other reviews will know this is a pet hate of mine. Excellent breakfast options to set you up for the day. Limited options on the roof top evening menu but they’ll do their best to work with you if you need something different. Concierge can be busy so all time if you need to visit them. I read that check in was lengthy so we did a pre check in and found it all very efficient.

Wow! This place is just beautiful. From our welcome with Anastasia and all the recommendations to the beautiful grounds. The shuttle was not bad at all and runs every 30 minutes so you can plan your day around it. The infinity pool was breathtaking and hard to leave. I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the Spa! Myself and my wife got massages and wow. Miriam and Martyna I honestly can save made the whole trip. Plus you even get to enjoy their facilities after and again just wish there was more stars I could offer.
