We had a fabulous time celebrating my 60th birthday. Holly and the front office staff made our stay very memorable. The room was very nice and we enjoyed the view. We saw some wildlife from our balcony. The restaurants and staff were great as well.

The lodge is huge. The main building is massive with spectacular views of the mountains and lakes. However, when we were there it was overcrowded, especially in the eating areas, and this detracted from the experience. The lodgings are spread out. Our room, and by all accounts some other guests felt the same, badly needed renovation and lacked facilities. For example, we only received housekeeping every other day. It seems that if you are on an upper level, the views are so good it’s worth it. But we were in a ground floor cabin. We found the staff unhelpful at times. For example, they wanted us to sit in a remote part of the large dining area furthermost from the food. Why? Who knows. At breakfast, only one toaster was provided generating a long queue. One expects better service and facilities at the prices charged.

On the way to Yellowstone, we stayed one night at Jackson Lake Lodge in one of the 'cabins' a short distance from the main building. These duplex cabins are rustic at best, and look like something out of the 1950's, some buildings in worse condition than others. Open the door and your expectations for a beautiful cabin are immediately dashed to bits. It's a total dump that's been repainted, and re-papered in some areas and possibly given somewhat new but ill-fitting bedding. Every lampshade is crooked, the baseboards are beat up, the furniture looks second hand and it's totally shocking for the hundreds of dollars they charge per night. To add insult to injury, the tub/shower had mold around the edge (and I mean a good thick coating) and orange fungus in the tile grout. There's just no excuse for this lack of simple and basic cleaning. So it was too late to go anywhere else, so we just closed our eyes and tried to ignore the obvious and left as fast as we could the next day. A few days later, I received an email asking about our stay, so I responded about the pathetic condition of the room and included photos of the tub. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at over the past week, this was the biggest disappointment and the most expensive room of all. We will never go back, and I highly encourage you not to even bother.

All around wonderful experience. One of the most beautiful settings ever. Plus great restaurants!
Particularly enjoyed watching the sunset from the Mural Room while enjoying a delicious dinner. Terrace has fabulous views too and convenient to all Grand Teton activities.

A spectacular setting with stunning views of the Tetons — from the lodge. Most of the rooms are in single story buildings downhill from the lodge with no view of anything. We were here with a tour group, but there is no way I would pay the listed prices to stay here. Rooms were OK — “ranch comfortable” but certainly not luxurious. On the positive side, staff was attentive, professional, and personable. In short, a pleasant stay but WAY overpriced.

Had high hopes for our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Employees were great but there were too many issues to rate highly. We stayed in a classic cottage. It was quiet. However, thermostat is out-of-date with no temp settings - just off to high, no microwave available in room or at lodge, slow internet, lack of dining options close by other than the two in the lodge, Pioneer Grill needed more employees and was out of several food options on menu, affiliated grocery store in Colter Bay lacked essentials like spring/distilled water and six pack of sodas, chairs in room were dirty, several housekeeping issues plus have to request cleaning even though difficult to keep from tracking dirt from being outside. Overall expensive for what you get.

Although the location is magnificent with sweeping views of the Tetons, this circa 1950s property is in horrendous condition. Peeling paint, stained carpeting and cushions, poor quality, mismatched and worn out furniture are only a few of the deficiencies that we observed during our stay. For a property that charges rates that are similar to the Four Seasons, the quality is less than a low-end "fleabag motel". The one positive note was that all staff we encountered were positive and helpful.

Pricey for dated room and STELLAR view; excellent float raft trip down the Snake River

We had a Mountain View Cottage room, which is basically a hotel room on the second floor of a 2-story building with 8-10 rooms. Size was great, view straight on to the Grand Tetons was spectacular. Balcony with 2 adirondak chairs just fine. Furnishings dated but clean. Small fridge and bar sink, coffee maker and enough coffee for two days (no dishes/silver). Bath size ok, but enough storage next to it. Plenty of room for bags and stuff from a long road trip. Super expensive in early September but glad we stayed there. Also, we did their float raft trip and that was exceptional. Steve was our guide and you absolutely could not ask for anyone better - he knows all the stories, how to handle changes in the river and a good eagle spotter; he even recites Western songs and poetry. That raft trip was the highlight of our Grand Teton trip. Skip the dining at the Lodge, go to Jenny Lake.

Really enjoyed our stay in a cottage here. We could hear people in the adjacent room in the day and evening but it was very quiet at night. Nights were cool when we stayed so lack of AC was not a problem. There was an overhead fan and a tower fan, and we used both. There was a Keurig in the room as well as glasses and ceramic mugs. Bring a sleep mask-there were very bright lights on the electronic equipment that could not be turned off. Short walk from our room to the main lodge. Ate at the bar and got takeout from the grill. Food was ok but not great and vegetarian options were limited. Nice to be able to park right in front of our room. Lodge was a good location for accessing various hikes and scenic overlooks in the park.

There is no air conditioning. It is quite expensive to stay here and it is 80 degrees in our hotel room. There is one window that opens (behind a curtain) for ventilation. The room comes with a standing fan so obviously the hotel is aware of this problem. We booked three nights here and tried to cancel the last night because it’s just unbearable and the hotel will not let us cancel and only offered an extra fan. So we are paying top dollar to sweat in our room. We propped up the ironing board against the curtain to increase the ventilation. Since we have to keep the window open, we have to also put up with loud neighbors partying on their deck, can’t blame them since it’s probably 80 in their room as well but it is disturbing us quite a bit. My husband tried to reason with the hotel to cancel our last night so we could get some comfort (it is our wedding anniversary) but they held to their 7 day cancellation policy. Great location but the room is also outdated. September 2024

Rooms are old and small but clean. Bed was quite comfortable. Keurig coffee maker with Lavazza coffee was a nice touch. No TV but did offer Wifi.
Highly recommend the fine dining restaurant. My trout and my wife's steak were both excellent. Great service.
Was sad to leave
