We stayed here on our visit to Ljubljana as it was our anniversary. The hotel kindly upgraded our classic room to a premium room. Our room so nice and spacious and the bathroom was so big. The loo also flushed itself. We were on one of the top floors where we got a good view for the street below. This hotel is also very close to all major sites. Walking distance to the sites is about 10-15minutes. No transport needed. They had one of the best memory foam pillows which helped me sleep as I suffer from neck problems. Highly recommend staying here

Stayed three nights. The room was large and modern. Quite comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. Unfortunately there was a conference going on so sometimes it was a bit boisterous and seemed the hotel was a 'private club' but that is typical with large groups. It is on the edge of the old town so the area lacks charm but makes up for it with large modern rooms and easy access by car. Overall I recommend and would stay again.

A large, top of the range hotel which lives up to its billing. Five minutes’ walk from the train and bus stations and 10 minutes from the Three Bridges, it is ideally located. Our room was large and very well appointed, with a desk, ample storage, fridge, safe, separate bath, w.c. and shower, minibar, tea and coffee maker etc. Breakfast (both cooked to order and buffet) was extensive and excellent quality, taken in the floor 20 restaurant with fine city views. Rooms were cleaned and serviced to a high standard. We found staff very helpful. If seeking a fault all we could find was that the sink design means the plug can’t be closed (maybe a problem for shavers or contact lens users). But all in all a first class hotel

The fact that hotel charges €5 for ice is laughable. Altogether nice though

Stayed here for two nights after a event in Lake Bled. The location of the hotel is ok but some of the staff exceeded my expectation. We were checked in by Timothe who was super helpful and knowledgable. We booked a Premium Club Room and was given a really nice corner room on the 16th floor, as advertised on the website. We used the lounge few times. Komal, (who normally works in Room Service) was a real star - one of the best service I've received. She worked very hard and was very engaging. On my day of check out the lounge was attendend by the club staff and she was also super nice. However for a hotel with this price range I would say some improvement is required. After first night of stay we realised there was constant noise (like water drain, could be from the pool) so we requested to change our room. We were given a much smaller room which is definitley not a "premium room" nor "room with a better view" as the front desk offerred. Eventually we got another room which was a premium King. This room is decent but the temperatuer control is not working. I feel that the hotel is like a 4+ hotel than a true 5*. The room is fairly basic although comfortable. The interior (lobby, lifts) is very blend and the room does not feel cozy. The bathroom also did not feel plush. Compared with some of the Intercontinental I stayed this summer, Ljubljana Intercontienntal did not meet my expectations.

We stayed here for two nights on a road trip and absolutely loved it. The hotel is just a few blocks from the old town so the location is great. We booked a club lounge room and it was a very good value and one of the nicest lounges we've tried (we're platinum with Marriot and mostly used their lounges). We had a corner room on the 16th floor, two twin size beds (they were out of kings), a sitting area and desk and wrap around windows with views of the Alps, the city and the the castle. The bathroom was massive with a huge soaker tub and separate rooms off of it for a shower and toilet. We are impressed to find complimentary mineral water and a couple Slovenian pastries waiting for us and the room also had a Nespresso maker. Everything about the room oozed luxury, they even have mood lighting built into the bases of the Windows! With the club lounge rate, breakfast in the 20th floor restaurant was included and it was pretty dark fancy. There was a huge buffet with everything from smoked salmon and charcuterie items to salads, smoothies and traditional eggs, hash browns etc. Plus there was a limited menu that you could also order off of. The setting is phenomenal and I'd suggest budgeting more time that you'd usually take for breakfast. The best part was that they had Prosecco; I was surprised our server didn know what a mimosa was but she was happy to bring us fresh oj to mix our own. Honestly, the food wasn't amazing but there were enough options that you could find something tasty (my truffle omelette was good but my wife's Benedict wasn't). Although all of the staff were friendly the woman at the club lounge was absolutely amazing! So friendly and helpful. The lounge is open most of the day and has a fridge stocked with pops and waters and there's a espresso machine as well. They have very little in the way of snacks when it's not an official meal time, just some stale tortilla chips,. apples and cookies. But from 2 to 4pm they do sandwiches and pastries and from 5 to 7 pm they had wine, beer and spirits and some very light smacks. The food was tasty but this isn't one of those lounges where you'll be able to skip dinner as the portions were tiny and just meant for nibbling. The wine was excellent though and they had this delicious blueberry liquor that my wife and I were encouraged to try by the amazing host. Valet parking is 35 Euros a night but there's also a parking garage across the street that we used. It's more like 20 a night if you self park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

We chose the InterContinental in Ljublijana because of the reviews and because we have had positive visits to InterContinental hotels in the past. This hotel's walkability is 100 which was very important to us as we walk everywhere. We booked a King Premium Club Lounge and were upgraded because of our Ambassador status. Everything was as you would expect except for the room lighting and the unique automatic toilet flushing system (that's right, just like they have at the airport). Our beef with the lights is that except, for the bathroom, they had to be all on, or all off. There was a small reading light by the bed. But, how hard can it be to make it possible to control all lighting individually in different zones? Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Ljubljana, by the way, is priceless. The street layout is from the 1700s or earlier. The buildings are from the 18th and 19th centuries and have a lovely variety. Walking everywhere is pleasant, comfortable, and secure. Shopkeepers, cab drivers, and restaurant servers were all comfortable with English to the point that it embarrassed us that we didn't know any Slovenian, or even how to count.

Nice hotel in a good location particularly if you have a car - just outside the Old Center of Ljubljana. A little dated, but rooms are very large for Europe and well equipped. The bathroom was huge and with a great shower. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and it was solid. It’s a little strange that they do not have a concierge desk. The staff was friendly and, in general, helpful.

We got early checkin and was offered an upgraded room on the 17th floor. The room was nice corner room with great views of the city. Hotel is close to the town so took a stroll and picked up some snacks from the nearby store. After a long day of traveling decided to take a shower. No body soap , so used the soap.Called front desk for body wash, before my husband took a shower, only to be told housekeeping left already. I asked if they could bring us soap at least and they did. Finally went to bed only to be woken up several times from the noise from the gym above us. Most staff were nice and hotel room was clean. I would not recommend the 17th floor.
