The Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach is a hidden refuge that guarantees honeymooners an amazing escape full of peace, luxury, and Mediterranean beauty. It is tucked away along the sun-kissed coastline of La Milla de Oro in Marbella.
Location:
This magnificent hotel enjoys a privileged coastal setting with mesmerizing views of the Mediterranean. The calm atmosphere of Marbella surrounded us from the time we arrived. Our romantic trip had the ideal atmosphere thanks to the relaxing sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
Accommodations:
Our stay in a modern suite was an absolute luxury. Our suite was big, well-equipped, and tastefully done in a fine Mediterranean style. It also had a private balcony from where we could enjoy morning coffee and evening sunsets. We felt pampered and at ease because of the meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness.
Service:
The hotel’s attentive and welcoming personnel made it clear that it was dedicated to giving all guests peace and quiet. We were treated like valued guests from check-in to check-out. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability and ethical tourism was clearly demonstrated by the Wave of Change campaign, which was particularly outstanding.
Amenities:
The Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach offers a wide range of amenities that are all intended to make our honeymoon more enjoyable. The two welcoming pools were a great place to spend lazy days, and the poolside service made us even more relaxed. We were able to stay active thanks to the exercise center, and the body treatments and massages were the height of relaxation.
Dining:
This hotel offers absolutely great dining experiences. The buffet restaurant satisfied all of our cravings with its mouthwatering selection of foreign and Mediterranean dishes. We also enjoyed lunch at the charming beachside establishment The Origin Beach Soul Marbella. A romantic high point of our trip was dining by the water while listening to the lapping waves and a soft breeze.
We had a fantastic honeymoon at the Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach (overall rating of 5.0). The hotel’s commitment to tranquility, along with its opulent amenities and breathtaking setting, made for a wonderful stay. Every moment seemed like a celebration of our love, whether we were dining by the sea, enjoying spa treatments, or drinking cocktails by the pool.
Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach is the ideal option if you’re looking for a honeymoon location that radiates Mediterranean beauty, luxury, and romance. It’s a setting where tranquility and serenity coexist with beachfront splendor and where love grows amidst the majesty of Marbella’s golden mile. Knowing that we had found a genuine jewel on the Spanish coast, we departed with our hearts full and our spirits revived.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday 1st of Nov. Seemed good on arrival. Got to our room, no sockets were working. Reception sorted quickly. Pool very small for size of hotel, broken chairs and could do with an update. On the Monday my husband became very unwell with a stomach bug, apparently going around the hotel. Several members of staff were also off. My husband ended up in hospital for 2 days. No one asked if we were OK, not even the manager. Disgusted, iberostar! Did go for a spa, the steam room wasn't working, apparently hasn't for a while. Then had a pedicure, the lady coughed continually over my feet. Didn't cover her mouth or wear a mask. Dirty cutlery on the table in dining room, food not the best. Asked for chicken, which was raw in the middle. The mattress protector was stained and dirty. We were told by staff that this bug had been going on for a while, another guest was a also hospitalised a week before. I also spoke to guest who was also ill. The lady at reception was rude and unhelpful when I asked about a later check out on our day of leaving. She said come back on the Monday morning. I asked her on the Saturday. I have photos of the things I have mentioned. A few of the staff were helpful, but, they were the minority. The people who should have cared didnt even bother. Shame on you iberostar, you are rated on your excellence, I never experienced this. Certainly wouldn't recommend. The sockets also cut out after using the hairdryer, told it had to be used in the bathroom due to more power in that socket!! Never came to sort the problem until I went and asked again the next morning, even though I had asked the previous afternoon. We came for our anniversary and it was totally ruined.

We stayed here from 8th to 12th November, the weather was beautiful and the hotel matches.
We had a wonderful time!
We got the bus from Malaga airport which was really easy - the stop is right outside the front.
The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the beach board walk - turn right and you are in Puerto Banus in 15 minutes.
We stayed B&B and were glad we did, the breakfast was lovely and we found a different restaurant to eat at in the evening! There are some gems around, I would suggest looking on tripadvisor / any local social media groups who give the best advise.
The pool area was clean and no problem getting a bed. My tip would be try and get a bed on the left side of the pool as the sun is on that side most of the day. Towels are given to you each day clean with no deposit payment. I took 2 a day to cover me sun bed nicely :)
Drinks/cocktails were nice. Staff friendly. Rooms lovely size, nice big balcony.
Would 100% recommend

Room (superior side sea view) very good. Food from buffet restaurant excellent for both breakfast and evening meal.
Service is courteous and first rate from arrival/reception, housekeeping and waiting staff.
Good value for money and ideal for a

Stayed here for 11 nights in a Penthouse Side Sea View room with a (rather steep) spiral staircase leading up to a private and very spacious terrace with two loungers and a hot tub and, although the water wasn't hot, it was very pleasant to slightly cool off in on hot days. Strangely, all the hot tubs were left uncovered for the duration of our stay although cleaned every day but despite heavy rain on 2-3 days, there were never any bits or debris in them.
Rooms were fine but could not get the TV to Bluetooth or access any Smart functions. Air-con really efficient and a great shower with a large double sink hand basin and separate shower.
We didn't eat or drink at the hotel other than breakfast but what we had was probably the best breakfast we've had. The quality of the freshly baked goods was excellent.
It is about a 15-20 minute flat walk into Banus which we did every night but one when we went to Marbella but we much preferred Banus out of the two resorts. A local taxi from the Banus rank was about 6€ so much cheaper than Uber.
We will definitely stay here again.

Very good hotel, staff helpful especially Jesus the customer care manager..
We stayed in a sharing pool room (only 13 rooms shared it) and that was so quiet, and the others in area were respectful of the peace and quiet. Hardly anyone else in the pool so able to do lengths without being splashed. No rush for sunloungers as each room had 2 allocated and an umbrella. Certainly worth the extra money for us. Room was kept clean and pool towels replaced everyday.
Food was very good, always plenty of choice both on the buffet and the grill section. For dinner there was two choices of fish and a beef, chicken or pork option. As well as the buffet selection
Not sure how anyone could complain about that.
I would recommned this hotel. We had a good time and 99% was excellent just the niggles below that let it down
Couple of silly things that slightly let it down from giving it a 5*
Informed the hotel in advance that our flight was due in around 22.00 so could they leave a cold meet salad for us in the room. When we arrived after 23.00 the receptionist told us the food was in the room, no it wasn't. WE phoned and eventually after about 30 minutes someone came with a bag of food. This consisted of 3 white bread cold sandwiches, a drink and an apple. It was like the bread had just been defrosted. Thats when the following day we spoke to Jesus and we were able to have lunch on the day we left.
Beware if you ask for a early breakfast because you are going on a trip, you will get the same soggy white bread with processed ham and cheese. Our second early morning tour we asked for brown bread and this was slightly better. However in the evening before going on our tour we made our own sandwiches from the buffet, so much better.
WE asked to keep our room (and obvioulsy pay for it) this ended up not being possible, we where given till 12.00 instead of 11.00 and then another room for 30 minutes to shower in before departure. The silly thing was that I saw the cleaners in our room at 14.30 so why could we not keep it till then.
The coffee pods-you get 4 for free, anymore you have to pay for doesn't matter how long you are staying in the hotel, this just seemed irrational.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Iberostar Marbella Coral Beach. We had a 2nd floor side sea view room, on the east side, and it was beautiful, quiet, with a partial ocean view. We had the bed and breakfast package and the breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent. We did eat al a carte at the poolside bar Tartesos several times and it was very good as well. We found the staff to all be very friendly with positive attitudes and good English(thank you Ana). The main pool in the center of the resort is very nice(heated) and there are aquasize classes here as well as organized afternoon activity. Every evening they also bring in entertainment around the pool. They have a very good gym, a small library, and a salon which we did not try. There is plenty of free parking in front of the hotel, hotel bike rentals(15 euro/day), and a grocery store across the street.
The hotel is in a great location with excellent access to the beachfront promenade(Paseo Maritimo), and is only 1km from Puerto Banus and 5 km from Marbella old town. Beach itself is nice and goes forever though I was surprised how cool the water was for October.
On the negative side they advertise this resort as "beachfront" but that is not accurate. It is setback about 1/2 a block from the beach and does not offer any beach amenities. You can book these amenities at the neighboring Chambao but they are very expensive. There also advertise several pictures of the large pool on the east side of the resort but this is only accessible to the 13 ground floor rooms on that side. There is a Jacuzzi tub by the west wing but it is only accessible to 6 ground floor rooms on that side. I was disappointed these features were not available to all guests.
Overall we had a great stay at Marbella Coral Beach.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Beds are quite hard. The website stated: hotel ideal para adultos so we were surprised to see children in the hotel. Nespresso machine was not mentioned in the description of the room (surprise). If you have a rentalcar streetparking is no problem. Housekeeping is doing a great job in this hotel ( spotless) !!
Breakfast is very good ( great choice ) Supermarket nearby but not many restaurants in the area. Iberostar Coral Beach is a pleasant place to be.

We couldn’t fault this hotel at all - check in took a little while however, the rest of the stay was absolutely worth it. We were bed and breakfast and opted not to take the offer of adding all inclusive and honestly, we didn’t need it - there are plenty of fantastic places to eat within walking and taxi distance. We did eat at the hotel bar some afternoons and enjoyed drinks there in the evenings. The service was immaculate - always friendly and remembered your order before having to ask. The nights there was entertainment on it was great. The room was perfect, everything we needed. They had water and ice dispensers on every floor which was a great touch. There’s also an Aldi literally across the road if you wanted drinks/snacks for the room! The gym has a reasonable amount of equipment, some machines and free weights - we tended to go at the quietest time around 3pm so we were often the only ones in there. My husband had 2 massages whilst there and couldn’t recommend enough - also very reasonably priced. As always there are towels on sunbeds around the pool from the get go, but we did see some towels get taken off of sunbeds that had been left vacant for a while which was good to see - we never struggled to get beds in the area we wanted every day. This hotel was great from start to finish, friendly staff, great facilities, great location and we hope to return again in the future.

Checking in was smooth, nice ladies on the desk.
To upgrade to all inclusive it was €60 per person per day, we did it for the minimum of 3 days (We were half board)
Rooms were lovely, comfy bed & pillows equipped with everything & a decent hairdryer. Lovely shower .
House keeping was good, room was quiet, no slamming doors which is always good
Restaurant was very good quality food not a huge spread of food like other Iberostars but all very good quality & plentiful.
Pool area and lunch area very nice so were the seating areas inside & out.
Premium drinks served were all good.
The staff are really lovely here and very attentive
special shout out to
Cynthia, Zamora ,Tenorio, Fernan
All the staff are equally as good and I couldn’t get all their names
The omelette making ladies in the morning were so friendly.
Prime position for a lovely stroll to Puerto Banus… which is fab!
Entertainment most evenings and a violinist in the morning at breakfast. Hotel and ground immaculate.
I would def stay here again
The only negative I could see is there’s not enough staff around the pool to take drink orders, it can take some time to get a drink even if you go and order it at the bar. Same in the evening to. Def an extra pair of hands would make it perfect.

We have just had a fantastic holiday at the Iberostar selection Marbella Coral.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of cava, a nice start to the holiday.
Afterwards, our bags were taken to the room by a friendly porter.
Rooms are spacious, spotless and decorated with attention to detail.
Walk-in shower and separate toilet, Nespresso machine and water bottle you can fill at the dispenser in the corridor are provided. Everything is shipshape!
The buffets are not super extensive but everything is fresh and the selection varies daily, the quality of the food is high. Fish and meat with daily changes can be cooked fresh a la minute on the plancha. The waiters in the restaurant are super friendly, special mention to Fernan
The pool area is nice, plenty of loungers and towels are provided. Just a pity that the beach club no longer belongs to the hotel. This one is incredibly nicely renovated and chic though ( Chambao ) the prices are high ( 300 euros for 2 beds though with spending voucher )
The strength of the Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral lies not only in the beautiful rooms, tasty buffets but also and above all in the incredibly friendly staff !
Congratulations Jaime, subdirector, you are doing a great job and have a fantastic team !!!
Keep up the good work and many more successes and happy customers to come !

The staff are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever come across; irrespective of time of day.
The hotel is beautiful! We stayed in one of the jacuzzi penthouse suites and it was well worth the extra for the views and the size.
There was a kettle and a coffee maker as well as a minibar. There was a tiny little bottle of milk in the minibar which was free. The tea/coffee/sugar was also free BUT if you needed it replenished, it was €6 per time. (Milk replenishment was €2 per time). No worries - we brought our own coffee and there is an Aldi adjacent to the hotel on the right for fresh milk / snacks. The drinks in the minibar were surprisingly reasonably priced. There is free filtered water and an ice machine (crushed ice) on every floor.
I especially loved the pillows. We both slept so well.
Sadly, the jacuzzi stopped heating effectively after the first day. We didn't report it till our last day and the engineer came quickly but couldn't fix it. The duty manager was appropriately apologetic and tried really hard to make it up to us. We were comp'd a free late checkout (which we gladly accepted) and offerred free breakfast/coffee refills (which we declined as it was our last day and we already had what we needed).
We ordered room service a couple of times (€7 tray charge) which was always very tasty and had good portion sizes. We didn't use the restaurant or bar.
We didn't take advantage of the entertainment or use the pools or spa as it was a very short visit (2 full days) and our priority was visiting Puerto Banus and The Old Town (which was so full of character).
All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay and we would definitely return.
