This hotel is more than just a hotel because the staff are so very friendly and helpful It is situated on the main dual carriageway into Madrid and has a Metro station within a few yards - we enjoyed walking to the Salamanca area which is lovely and only a 10 min walk - it has coffee and pastry shops - restaurants and every shop you can imagine with lots of Designer Brands Returning to the hotel the rooms are very well appointed with very comfortable beds and everything is very clean with a very good housekeeping team Breakfast is excellent in a lovely open plan restaurant where the staff are quietly always there and they looked after us very well and the food was excellent It also has a very nice modern club lounge which is open all day and at about 2.00pm serves sandwiches In the evening there is Wine and Canapés which are very nice and it is done in such a way that there is something for everyone and enough for a small meal and the wine is very good - things are replenished frequently ant it opens at 7.00pm to 9.00pm and while we were there - there are plenty of places to sit As for staff - Guest Relations has a wonderful team who are so very knowledgeable and helpful - here Constanza was our main contact and she was very helpful before we even arrived - also Marina who was amazing and Olalla who was simply charming - these 3 made our stay very special At breakfast Javiar was excellent and tried always to give us our same table - we were served by Olivia who could not do enough to make sure all went well Marta on Reception was also very helpful as were the 2 Doormen who always greeted us with a smile In summary this is a great place to stay if you want to see Madrid with wonderful staff

The Hyatt's location is a little out of the way - but it is very good for public transit, both subways and buses. There's not that much to do in the immediate neighborhood, but it was easy to get around Madrid using the hotel as our base. We had a room on a high floor. It faced a lightwell, and was dark most of the time. The walls of the lightwell were filthy with what looked to be bird droppings. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months if not years. That was our view for the several nights we stayed there. The room was way too hot, and uncomfortable for sleep. October in Madrid is warm, and the air conditioning were disabled. We did not find this to be the case in other places in Spain where we stayed, which still had A/C on in late October and early November. The staff brought us a fan and some blankets instead of the heavy duvets that were in the room, and that did help. The front desk staff when we checked in on a weekend was wonderful - warm and helpful. Can't say the same for the staff during weekdays - they were not friendly at all, sort of curt. At 36 euros per person, the breakfast buffet was overpriced and just OK. We went once and avoided it after that. There are several bakeries and coffee shops in the neighborhood where you can get a more reasonable breakfast. Although the hotel is branded as a Hyatt Regency, it did not meet the standards I'm used to from Hyatt Regency hotels in the US. It might be OK as a business hotel if you had meetings in the immediate neighborhood and a room facing the street, but otherwise, I'd pass.

The hotel is well located and close to subway station. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean although a bit outdated compared to others Hyatt Regency hotels. Gym was good, the view from there is amazing. Note that there is no elevator or ramp to access hotel lobby, only steep stairs. There wasn’t any doorbell to assist. Also, if you don’t have breakfast Included in your rate I would not recommend to pay apart - service and food were just ok and there are many other great options walking distance from hotel

Hesperia Hyatt Hotel Review November 2024 The Hesperia Hyatt is a 5 star hotel located in a great classy neighborhood of Madrid. It maybe away from the main plaza but it is located in a quieter business , residential area. Hotel Report Card Location: 9/10 15mins from Atchoa trainstation. About a $10 euro taxi fee. I really liked this location. Lots of cafes on the street to kick back. Upscale neighborhood. Room: 9/10 The room size was a very nice size, we had 2 extra large suitcases. 3 small carryon. Bed was comfortable, large king. Ask for a quiet upper floor room. We got a corner room which was larger. Staff: 9/10 Everyone is very nice and professional. If you needed something they were on the spot. And everyone speaks English. Ammenties: 8/10 I didn't utilize the pool. I think they had one with the spa. Food/Beverage: 9/10 We had their buffet breakfast and it was typical, but everything I needed. Order from the menu if you want an omlete. Excellent service. Smoke Grill is superb restaurant. U got to try it Value For the Money: 8/10 I think this one of my favorite hotels in Madrid. Handsdown, I'll be back Summary This Hyatt does a great job accommodating it customers. I think if you come here off-season. it's a great stay.

As expected, the facility was clean, modern and comfortable. However the best was the superb concierge service from Manuela Bilbao and her crew. Unlike many hotels, when asked for restaurant recommendations, she did not push the hotel dining, but instead recommended two excellent tapas bars within walking distance. Upon arriving at the first, we were asked if we were from the hotel and given complimentary Cavas, as Manuela had called ahead for us. She was also most helpful obtaining museum tickets so we could avoid the long lines. One of the other concierge hosts (name forgotten) actually left the hotel and walked with us to the nearby Metro to clarify an issue with a pass we had purchased. As for location, on previous visits we had stayed near the Prado and were reluctant to stay at the Hesperia, however the tram and the Metro stations are steps away, and a 15 minute ride delivers you to the three main museums. Also, the hotel is in an upscale residential neighborhood, quiet and safe at night.
