We definitely made the right choice of staying at this beautiful hotel for most of our time on Amalfi Coast. As soon as we stepped out of our taxi, we were greeted and received with a smile by a member of their reception team who then took us in where we were welcomed by Carmela, who is one of the owners of the hotel. The rooms, restaurant, roof top facilities and the views from the hotel, all look exactly as it shows on the hotel's website. It is a place where one can easily relax in the tranquil atmosphere and connect with nature. The views and the atmosphere from the restaurants or their sea facing rooms are just mind blowing. Praiano is situated between Amalfi town and Positano. But one could easily visit the rest of the towns on Amalfi Coast. The local buses are quite cheap to travel and they connect to all the towns on the coastline. The staff at the reception desk are extremely helpful in guiding you. If asked, they would even help you plan your trip for the day. Must mention the morning buffett breakfast at the main restaurant. It was one of the best part of our stay at this hotel. As soon as you walk in at the breakfast lounge, you are greeted by the smilling faces of their staff. You can sit whereveryou feel comfortable and enjoy the vast selection of dishes laid on the table. The staff were very eager to fulfill your requests. They would get certain hot dishes prepared for you on requests. There was plenty of choice for vegetarians too. Nothing was too much for them. They would respect your wishes and try and accomodate with a smile. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this splendid hotel. We were there for 5 nights. But from the very first day, we felt we were part of this family. All the staff were very friendly and helpful at the same time. Carmela, the owner, was always around making sure everyone is comfortable and would personally deal with any queries that you have. I would highly recommend you to consider staying at this family friendly hotel for your unforgetable experience on the Amalfi Coast.

We had a room with a terrace overlooking the sea, and it was sparkling clean and very charming. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we loved the arrangement by the sea, especially with fresh orange juice that made our mornings extra special. We also dined at the restaurant, where the food was fantastic, and the sea view created the perfect setting. Giuseppe, our waiter, was very professional and attentive, making sure we had an amazing dining experience. The rest of the staff were equally helpful and experienced, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!

A nice mid range hotel in quiet Priano. The staff are all very nice. The town is tiny, so unless you hike or take transportation during the day to other towns, there is not much to do. The rooms were clean and the front desk Ladies were extremely helpful.

The breakfast is lovely and the waiter organised morning drinks for us on a tray so I could take back up to my room. Then the however! However the rooms are pretty basic.. no coffee making facilities.. we had to ask for sunbeds to be placed on the terrace. Up at the pool, the sunbeds were stacked together and loud Euro pop music was playing. Maybe if I was 20 years younger we wouldnt be so bothered.. but after the chaos of Positano we wanted peace!

Outstanding!!! My wife and I spent a week there and couldn’t have been happier. One of best hotels on the Amalfi coast. The staff and owner (Carmela, Antonia, Roberta, Siro, …all) are super friendly and passionate about there work. You won’t be disappointed. I wish we had stayed longer.

My family has been coming to this wonderful hotel since my grandparents took their honeymoon here in the 1950s... we've been coming to this wonderful place run by the welcoming Esposito family ever since. They really do make you feel like family, from the matron, Nonna Teresa, to Carmela and her sisters and brother... their attention to detail is the result of a long tradition; it can be seen in the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the cleanliness, the amazing rooms and delicious cuisine. Praiano is probably the best location in the Amalfi Coast, as it's not as busy as Positano, but both the famous town and Capri island can be seen throughout the day and during the amazing sunsets. Near the hotel is the best beach in the Amalfi Coast, the Gavitella, the only one that is always blessed with sunlight throughout the day in the Amalfi riviera... and when one is feeling lazy, they also have an amazing rooftop pool where they serve food and cocktails. Then at dinner you have the famous restaurant, with its sophisticated dishes rooted in the local tradition, where amazing Peppe will guide you into an amazing culinary experience! The rooms are beautifully decorated in the Mediterranean style with the amazing local maiolica. The Tramonto d'Oro is my favorite location in Italy and the whole world, it remains the most beautiful place on earth... and I am from Rome! I will never stop coming. I highly recommend this place, come here yourselves and experience this amazing hotel and become part of the wider Esposito family!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they organised a boat trip with swimming stops along the coast to Amalfi for us with ease - so glad we stayed in Praiano rather than Amalfi - much quieter and so pretty. The hotel restaurant was wonderful - the view as the sun went down was stunning. The food was gorgeous and the wines were delicious. The rooftop pool was amazing and we often had it to ourselves! Just the best trip - could not get enough of the view! Would highly recommend

The best vacation started with our stay at the Tramonto d’Oro in Praiano. Thank you Roberta, Antonella, Frederica, Chiara & Alessia for the wonderful hospitality you all showed, we felt like a guest in your home! This was our first time at this hotel, we have stayed in Praiano several times in the past because it is a quiet town & in between Positano & Amalfi. The hotel is in the center of town with several restaurants, grocery store & shops nearby. The hotel restaurant has a spectacular view. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of fresh fruit,cereals, bacon, eggs & pastry..even Mimosas. The Tramonto d’Oro is a family run hotel and there is always a family member greeting you at diner. A nice e touch! The rooms were clean & comfortable, we had a sea view room with a terrace which was spacious. The rooftop pool & terrace was an added plus. The reception staff were helpful with taxi’s, day trips & some of Praiano’s hidden gems that we missed in the past. Also, several weeks before we arrived Roberta made arrangements for a Sunset Cruise for us & a full day on the water (lunch in Capri). It was the highlight of our vacation!! We will definitely return to the Tramonto d’Oro❣️

I had been to Tramonto D’Oro many years ago as a faculty escort during which time my suitcase was stolen in Rome. The hotel staff and Esposito family were incredibly kind and helped me get back on my feet. I always longed to return. My husband and I were married four years ago and due to COVID and the loss of my father we were unable to go on a honeymoon. At long last we decided to go. And we found the treasure of the Amalfi Coast welcomed us with open arms. Situated between Amalfi and Positano, Tramonto D’Oro is situated in one of the most spectacular spots on the coast. We were given the Mediterranean room, complete with a private balcony overlooking the spectacular Gulf of Naples. The appointments of the room were fabulously Italian with gorgeous tiles and even olive oil toiletries. Impeccably clean and refined. We felt pampered. The pool and terrace bar and restaurant sport the same view with an unimaginable sunset. Sumptuous breakfasts and delicious dinners. Aperitivos on the terrace.Everyone there created a perfect environment to celebrate our honeymoon, complete with water taxi service to Positano. The Esposito Family has nurtured guests for seventy years. It was amazing being welcomed back by Nonna Teresa and Pepe, as well as Carmela and sister and the new baby Silvia. Say what you will about family, but when one’s loving embrace reaches well beyond the Gulf of Naples, there is a treasure words cannot express. We are grateful to carry a piece of that with us. And we hope to ‘torno a Praiano!

This hotel was FLAWLESS, we had such a fantastic stay - would 100% recommend to anyone, and can’t wait to return. From the first moment we arrived, the whole experience was fantastic. The concierge helped us park our car and also helped us with our luggage. The Front Desk staff gave us an outstanding welcome, explaining all of the hotel facilities and reserving us a table for dinner that night. We were really grateful to receive a complimentary upgrade, our room had a spacious balcony and sea and rooftop view. The room was spotlessly clean! The food in the restaurant and at breakfast were delicious - the Maitre D’ was really welcoming and we also really enjoyed chatting with the owner over breakfast, the number of languages she speaks to such a good standard is truly impressive! The hotel describes itself as family run and that is evident in every single interaction with the staff at every level. I have never stayed somewhere like this and enjoyed every moment of the experience. We even ran into some of the staff in the street while they were off shift and they greeted us warmly - the hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained but the staff were truly next level. Thank you to the whole team for such a brilliant stay - we will definitely be back!!

The views of the Amalfi coastline in this hotel (dining areas and from the Mediterranean room)are even better than you can imagine. The only thing that surpasses the beauty of the location and the hotel is the impeccable service from the entire team at Tramonto. So friendly, professional and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing. The owner was so hands on and would come and chat at any opportunity. The hotel is also conveniently located near many great shops and restaurants and the bus station which will allow you to easily get to Positano or Amalfi. The food at the hotel was also really good. This place is a hidden gem and I strongly recommend it! Thank you to the lovely team at Tramonto. We will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful property absolutely well maintained, all the staff were so friendly and always ready to help or assist with a smile and the best attitude. Our mornings started with an incredible Mediterranean’s views , followed by the exquisite morning breakfast, a nice pool complement the experience. The dining experience is probably the best, the quality of their restaurant is outstanding and a must even if you are not staying in the hotel. I love the location in the center, between Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. I have to say that Praiano is nothing as crowded the other towns can be, we love that. I will definitely come back to Tramonte D’Oro.
