I am currently sat in our beautiful spacious room and we are very sad to be checking out tomorrow. We have had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back and stay again. Location is awesome and all major attractions are walkable or a short taxi ride away if you not happy to get your steps in. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in. The restaurant was very nice and again staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Roof top bar was a great place to end the evening and the staff was very attentive. Only one very small critique is the breakfast buffet, and this is purely a personal preference and would not stop me recommending this place, I would rather be able to order off a menu as the food wasn’t very hot. I will mention that I am a fan of breakfast so please note it was very acceptable offerings. Today was international women’s day and we came back from sightseeing where I was greeted by a bunch of beautiful flowers and a handwritten note which was really appreciated and beyond what I expected, so thank you to everyone who arranged this. Look forward to seeing you all again soon

We stayed at the Splendide Royal for five nights. The hotel common areas are beautiful ornate marble. Our room was tastefully furnished in a modern style with lots of space and high ceilings. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We found the location to be the perfect balance of proximity to the main tourist attractions whilst also being on a relatively quiet street away from the crowds. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Luxury Hotel in Rome
Excellent accommodations and welcoming staff. The hotel is in walking distance to Via Veneto and the Piazza di Spagna. Our room was exceptionally clean and featured a panoramic balcony with a view of the Villa Borghese. Will definitely book again in the future.
Such an amazing place starting from the front desk to the assistance to the room. Jonathan the manager could not have been more perfect from the room, the restaurant suggestions and more. Our flight was canceled from Naples so we booked the flight thru Rome and voila-this fabulous hotel.

Gorgeous hotel in Villa Borghese. Only stayed two nights after our return from Tuscany. Elegant decor, attentive doorman and staff. Room was in the "newly renovated" wing felt a little remote, needed to take elevator down and then up again for Breakfast room and rooftop bar. Room spacious, well stocked minibar, very quiet, comfortable large bed. Do go to the rooftop bar, Adele's, amazing views of Rome, Emmanuel monument, Vatican. Wine and tapas enough to call it dinner. Breakfast buffet excellent.

This hotel is immaculately clean and very quiet dispite being in a busy part of town. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were amazingly soft, (which is important to me!) and the location was excellent. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! Only issue is we had to pay €10 for a soft drink when eating from the breakfast buffet, which we thought was a little odd. But we really enjoyed our stay.

Sheer excellence. From the minute the taxi drew up outside the hotel the valet opened the door and you enter a beautiful serene world. Greeted with a glass of bubbles we enjoyed a clean, beautiful, room. It’s easy to want to enjoy the restaurants in Rome but here everything was on hand with wonderful experiences. The roof top bar is an absolute must. The views are exceptional. The cocktails and service sublime and the accompanying nibbles a delight. Dinner is an absolute must at the Mirabelle restaurant. It cannot be rated highly enough. The atmosphere, the sommelier, the waiting staff and wow the menu. I am a typical go for what I know type of person but I made myself choose things I had never had before and I was not disappointed. It was excellent. My only criticism is I felt the wines were a little steep but having said that we did enjoy it so didn’t question the price. Breakfast cannot be forgotten in the Crystal lounge. Again a beautiful room, such a delight to eat breakfast overlooking the Vatican and roof tops of Rome in a beautiful light, serene room. The staff were amazing and breakfast was fabulous.

So happy we stayed at Hotel Splendide Royal!
Beautiful hotel, directly across the street from Borgese gardens and villa. Close to the metro. Great breakfast, and a genuine sense of hospitality. We loved it, and the couple we traveled with have stayed twice before and requested this. A winner!

Amazing luxury hotel! I loved staying here. It was beautiful, clean, quiet, great friendly staff, and good breakfast. The location is central to a lot of tourist hot spots but still far away enough it is quiet.
We stayed at Splendide for 4 nights in October. We truly enjoyed the service and our stay. Highlight is the roof top bar with amazing views. We were greetes with Prosecco on check-in, and the room was spectacular. Would absolutely stay here again.
an experience to remember. a beautiful hotel, fantastic room and bathroom, superb breakfast, very good location, astonishing restaurants with a view of Rome which is unique . i do not know if it were unlucky moments, but the reception crew seemed not to be in good terms with life.
Spectacular Hotel With Spectacular Service

Friends of ours were staying at the Hassler, and when we saw that it was over $2000 per night, that was a big Hell No. We kind of arbitrarily booked the Hotel Splendide, mostly because it was close to the Hassler and, at less than $800 a night, felt practically reasonable by comparison. I didn't even connect that this hotel was related to the Splendide Mare in Portofino, where we stayed a few years ago and absolutely loved. Now to my impressions... This hotel is spectacular!!! We had one of the "new rooms", and when I say it was among the most lovely rooms we have ever enjoyed in our rather spoiled existence, WOW. The room was huge, with the bedroom upstairs and an absolutely massive bathroom. Furnishings were lovely, comfort level top notch and staff absolutely delightful. I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else in Rome. Thank you Splendide and we'll definitely be back!

The location: perfect (10-15 min walk to several tourist destinations, which meant it wasn't crowded or noisy. The rooftop bar was lovely and breakfast options were varied and of good quality. During our stay we had access to the Prince Spa, about a 25 minute walk away, which ended up being a trip highlight. We swam laps and played around in the fantastic hot tub features for hours. We couldn't imagine a better experience!

Hotel Splendide is a beautiful hotel with a clean property and amazing staff. From the beginning the gentleman at the door are welcoming and attentive. Francesca and Sylvia in the front are knowledgeable and give great recommendations. There is no coffee machine in the room but there are so many options close by including their lounge just a few floors up. We also had breakfast at the lounge a few times before going on excursions and Ana and Gina gave us great service and even remembered our preferences. We enjoyed a 6 night stay and everything went absolutely perfect. It is easy to walk to a lot of major sites. They have room service and a great restaurant to dine at. The neighborhood is safe and quiet and the staff really look out for you. We were glad we had a nice place to relax after busy days of sightseeing. Thank you to the wonderful staff. See you next time.

This hotel is magic. There were a few small issues which I will mention but overall our stay was excellent. We travel all over the world, Bali every year, US, Maldives, Europe, Switzerland and many other places. We nearly always pick our hotels by reading reviews. We love the St Regis hotels and Relais group also. We picked the Splendide Royal for its location primarily and the rooftop terrace. However when we checked in we were told that the rooftop terrace was not available for Saturday and Sunday night due to a private function. We were very disappointed by this. Thankfully we were staying another two nights so were able to use it. But if we had only been there for the weekend it would have been a disaster! Our room was fabulous and the bed super comfy. Bathroom was lovely too. Air con worked perfectly. However for a 5 star hotel, there was no coffee machine in the room. This is the first time this has happened in all our travels. So we ended up each morning going out of the hotel for a coffee before our day of exploring. The staff are fantastic, very professional. The guys on the front door are superb....their welcome back to the hotel was so genuine and they were always smiling. Unfortunately we had one encounter on the Sunday afternoon. We had friends who had been staying at the hotel also and we wanted to have a drink with them at the bar upstairs before they left. The staff member was rude and very arrogant. We explained that there were 4 of us..he said 'We are very busy so I do not know if I can give you a table'. Eventually he 'found' a table outside. There were many many empty tables both inside and outside. This was around 4pm. We met our friends and had drinks. We stood up to say goodbye fully intending to stay ourselves and have another drink but we were handed the bill so felt unwelcome. This was quite offputting and we were very upset initially but the rest of the staff were fantastic. We used the rooftop terrace on two nights and the staff there were so nice. There is only one bar available if the rooftop terrace is unavailable and it is inside beside the restaurant and can get busy. I would recommend this hotel highly but I guess if I was booking it for a short trip I would ask if the rooftop terrace was available.
