We were assigned room 044 and were thrilled with this corner Lifestyle Junior Suite! Four big windows, a gorgeous view, relaxing yet refined decor, and excellent water pressure hit all of the marks for an exceptional stay. The location was great for visiting the Christmas Market near the train station and perfectly central for exploring the Old Town on foot. We met friends for drinks and snacks in the bar sitting in the glow of the colossal Christmas tree in the lobby. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone, it is worth the price!

The Schweizerhof was truly a 5 star hotel. Rooms, lobby and location to the Old City. The Old City was a wonderful experience and we hope to return soon. We had a great time and stayed here as part of a Viking Cruise pre-cruise vacation.
Truly wonderful.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. The front desk is excellent the room staff cannot do enough. Breakfast is fresh and included in our room price. The location cannot be any better, central to everything. An overall great experience.

Most incredible stay here ever!! Location is unbeatable, rooms are gorgeous, quiet and clean, and the staff are the nicest and most helpful. The head concierge Sébastien helped us fine tune every detail of our stay, from arranging our car to Lake Como to suggesting the museum of Picassos original works to answering any and all questions we had. Maria, at the front desk, is one of the warmest and most helpful people we encountered on our trip! The entire team is delightful. We especially appreciated the small but delightful touches like the turn down service (with chocolates!), cushions for our terrace seats, and the lovely room decor. Would absolutely book again and cannot recommend this place more highly!!

5 star from beginning to end. A beautiful old hotel with all modern room features. The staff were excellent, especially Sébastien, the concierge! He was so helpful! Can't say enough about him. Luis was also great! You won't be disappointed if you choose to stay at this lakeside venue.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as an added excursion with the Viking River Cruise. It is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in. The charm, history, architecture, is second to none. It is beautifully decorated and located in the heart of old town Lucerne, across from the boat rides on Lake Lucerne. Easily accessible to everywhere you need to go. Did I mention the gorgeous view of the alps?
Our room was very quiet and located on the 3rd floor. Our room was themed on the famous musician, Arturo Toscanini, who had stayed there. I believe all of the rooms are themed from famous people who had stayed there. The hallways are some of the longest you will ever see. Everything worked to perfection in the room and we were each provided a complimentary muffin in a small tin can that reflected the history and tradition of the hotel. Each night our room was turned down and each given a small piece of chocolate in a smaller tin can.
Breakfast was included in our package and we were disappointed with it. You had the option of ordering off a menu, which we did. Still disappointed. However, we did have drinks in the bar one night with some friends and then had drinks outside the next afternoon overlooking the Lake. Priceless.
The entire staff was polite, friendly, and warm. This extends from the front desk to the wait staff to the housekeeping staff. If and when we ever returned, this would be our spot.

Great hotel with views. Nice, warm reception greeting and departure. We thought the seating area by the door on the evening cold and busy, like some upmarket train station. Getting served?: no chance (understaffed, with an important event taking place, with EVEN MORE important guests than my thirsty wife and I). We walked out. To anyone who had Eggs Benedict from the breakfast menu: don't you find it a shame to be charged chf10 extra for this? Surely, paying almost $1800 per night, this seems corrupt. Yes of course, "if you can afford the room, then you can afford the chf10, blah, blah, blah." In that case, why not try and extort from wealthy guests metered charges for a warm/cool room in winter/summer? Chf 2 p.p. per floor traveling in the lift? So, to reiterate, I can well afford any extra charges you throw at me, but the bad taste it leaves, has me feeling ripped off. This feeling would be the same for even a billionaire! Anyway, time to cook my chf0.80 Eggs Benedict...to get rid of the bad taste.

We chose the hotel for its perfect location on the lake and a short walk from the train station in Lucerne. We had a lake view room with a balcony (never guaranteed), so we were especially thrilled as the view over the lake to snow capped peaks is stunning. Sebastien, the concierge, was welcoming and especially helpful with directions and recommendations. The room was comfortable and luxurious to the 5 Star standard, while the restaurant received top scores for breakfast (included), lunch (carrot-ginger soup with tiny fishcake), and dinner: wonderful food, excellent service, plus a view! The hotel is not inexpensive, but gives value for every cent. You can walk easily to every attraction in the city. Highly recommended.

The room was amazing. The view from the balcony was extraordinary. The space was more than enough, and the bed was comfortable. The shower was perfect, and the amenities were plentiful, including a Dyson hair dryer. They provided two bottles of water every day, even though the tap water was drinkable.
The location was excellent, making it easy to walk everywhere.
The bar was spacious, and I liked the cozy atmosphere.
The staff at reception was the most helpful and cheerful person I have ever seen.
Breakfast was not included in the stay, so you need to pay for it separately. There were two options: an open buffet and an à la carte menu. The prices of the meals on the à la carte menu were quite high.
