Reviews of Hotel Sacher Wien
Awful place with awful restaurant, I didn’t like the dessert at all. It was a rainy day and there was nobody here, such an unpleasant experience. I strongly do not recommend and will never come here again. Prefer Macdonalds! There are many other places in Vienna to visit

The Hotel Sacher is truly the most exquisite hotel I have ever stayed in, offering the best service imaginable. Having traveled across continents and stayed in countless 5-star hotels—be it in New York, Bangkok, London, or Berlin—I have never felt as welcomed, cared for, and pampered as I did at the Sacher. This level of warmth and attention to detail is unparalleled. Where else does the doorman remember your name, or personally escort you to the opera in your finest evening attire, complete with a perfectly prepared umbrella in hand? The experience at the Sacher is simply unmatched, a rare gem of hospitality that stays with you long after your visit. We cannot wait to return to this magical place for another unforgettable stay. Spoilt wedding anniversary . With a heavy heart I’m writing this review , as this hotel was my childhood dream to visit . Me and my husband decided to visit for our wedding anniversary. After reading amazing reviews we decided to book for 2 nights. We arrived and hotel staff was really friendly we were shown to our room. The team made sure we got little lovely presents for our anniversary . We then discovered there was a catastrophic and dangerous failure in the room. My husband went to the reception and spoke to manager moritz about our discovery. We asked to move the rooms and was told that there was no avalibility in the hotel to discover ourselves later on that they had at least 7 free rooms . We called moritz who sadly is a customer service manager , on his lies - he offered us a room which was alearly set up for family with two children and there was a baby cod in the room and colouring books . Why would you do it having at least 7 vacant rooms? We didn’t want to spoil young family get away so we did decline the room and decided to leave and pick other hotel . This was really disheartening situation which left me deeply upset and dissapointed . Not all is gold that glitters…

A truly grand old hotel centrally located in Vienna. Although the hotel is almost 150 years old and is full of character, beauty and history, it also has every modern amenity. The bathrooms, electronics, lighting, etc. all have been fully updated to the 2020's, so we were comfortable in our room and elsewhere. The service at the hotel is first rate -- professional yet friendly, and unlike many supposedly 5-star hotels in the U.S., the Sacher Wien staff is TIMELY responding to guest requests. All of the people we dealt with during a 5-day stay went above and beyond. The restaurants, cafes, and bars in the hotel are beautiful with great food, but be warned that the Sacher Wien is a destination in itself, so get reservations in the evenings, even for the bar. The hotel's location is perfect -- we were able to walk to every major sight on or near the Ringstrasse, as well as to the opera and most Christmas markets. The Schoenbrunn Palace was an easy ride on the underground. We look forward to returning to the hotel in warm weather to explore some more.

A great hotel with opulent rooms. Unfortunately, residents have to share the bar area with outsiders and you need to book a reservation in order to drink there. How much nicer would it be if there was a residents bar……. Excellent breakfast with attentive staff and wonderful choices. We were not impressed with the menu selection at the Rote bar restaurant, opted for local dishes but would have preferred a simple steak that was, sadly, not an option.

Quintessentially Austrian / stately, elegant, very comfortable and quiet. Great location near Opera. Staff incredibly hospitable. In house bar was chic and trendy - with great range of wines and cocktails. Stay here if the budget allows.

It's major luxury. Valet parking which is like gold in Europe. Amazing staff from doormen to front desk staff to waiter at breakfast. I'm bad about remembering or writing down names, but all amazing. One of the most beautiful rooms ever with a chandelier. Awesome note and gift with treats on arrival and later from housekeeping (insert heart emoji here). Sacher Torte in our room and on the breakfast buffet. Convenient location within walking to restaurants and shops. We walked to Figlmuller (original schnitzel, see review). Would for sure stay here again if we ever get back to Vienna. It was our 2nd time, so hopefully a 3rd time is in our future.

Absolutely perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the service is as good as we have ever experienced, the location is right across from opera house and the room was fantastic (junior suite for most of stay, a couple nights in deluxe king - both clean, well furnished, have working air conditioning and large for Europe). I could write a seriously long review of all the detailed things we loved about staying here, but suffice to say, we travel a lot and this was in our top three hotels we have ever stayed in. Oh - and the concierge service (particularly Eric) was exceptional.

We stayed three nights at the Sacher. We were in a Signiture Suite that was spacious and well appointed. The staff was friendly and professional. Breakfast was terrific. The gym is very small and a bit dated. One very small thing - the shower and soap amenities are very small and were not replenished regularly. Not in line with a five star hotel. As expected it is very expensive but worth every penny as it is a true five star experience. Simon, the concierge, was very helpful. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and the made us feel special. The pillow cases and towels said Happy Anniversary. They also gave us a nice gift and balloons in our room. If we come back to Vienna we would definitely stay at the Sacher.

Great spot in Wien. Had a easy time finding it and once we were there the location is amazing. Being so close to so many sights made it an easy visit. Breakfast was great and the service overall didn't leave anything to be desired. Would return if back in Vienna.
