Truly top notch hotel. The service is impeccable and the rooms and grounds are gorgeous, very well maintained property. The location of course is also fantastic with the beach just a few steps from the hotel. We did not want to leave. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wow! This was our first stop on our honeymoon and they really set the bar! From the concierge services to the grounds, this hotel is one of a kind. They have a gorgeous pool and garden. We were booked in a room overlooking both as well as a partial sea view. They had champagne in our room as a welcome gift since we were on our honeymoon. Be sure to take advantage of the spa and saunas as well. We were a few steps away from a private beach, the beach club was closed when we were there, but we still went down to the water since the weather was so nice. We were able to order room service for no extra charge, the only hotel to offer that for our entire honeymoon! We took advantage of that every day! We would love to come back here! The room and bathroom were quite large which was a nice bonus!

Simply a lovely hotel experience. The staff, the room and particularly the breakfasts were all just great. The staff were friendly, very knowledgeable and their service was seamless. We had a beautiful room on the third floor which was full of light and had a very restful interior design. Being able to walk into Port de St Jean, Beaulieu and Villefranche really added to the overall experience and swimming in November in the heated pool most mornings before breakfast was just great. Room service in the evening after a big lunch out was exactly what we wanted. We have just left but are already planning our return next November. I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough.

Thank you all at the hotel and hopefully a return next year.

We stayed in a deluxe Seaview room, rooms on level 3 and 4 have been stylishly upgraded to a high standard. Breakfast was great everyday. We dined in Jasmine twice, both times with exceptional food and Service - quite a broad menu. Xavier on the concierge desk was very helpful with our dinner reservations. Our highlight was the beach with Luca providing great service. We will return, great value, excellent service and a great resort style property with lots of staff, that felt more like a home!l

Beautiful hotel on the Cote D'Azur. Not a large hotel, only 98 rooms/suites I think, together with the excellent customer service that goes with a more intimate property. All of the staff were wonderful, helpful, charming and genuinely wanted to help in anyway they could. Special thanks to Loic one of the Concierges (although they were all great) and Ingrid the breakfast room manager whose smile lit up your day each morning. We ate in both restaurants, food and service truly excellent although 'La Table' was an experience of beautifully presented and tasty small plates. The swimming pool was a lovely place to relax, never a scramble for sun beds and the pool staff most helpful and friendly. We had a deluxe room and although we didn't get an upgrade as we stayed there on the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts' programme, the room itself whilst not large had the most amazing views of the sea and coastline to Beaulieu-Sur-Mare. My wife and I stayed in cocooned bliss and luxury for only 5 nights......but those 5 nights were heavenly. This is a very special place/hotel. Our sincere thanks to all the team at this most beautiful of properties.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Riviera. Stayed for a week with plenty of things to do during the day. Pool looked bit noisy so spent most of time on the beach, where we were well looked after by Luka. Breakfasts were good but only let down for us there were not tea making facilities in the room. We did request this from reception but the kettle etc never materialised. It’s only a small thing and a bit British, would have made all the difference. Ate a couple of times in Jasmin poolside bar/restaurant which was good. Would thoroughly recommend 20 minute walk along promenade to the port of St Jean where there was good selection of restaurants. The cocktail bar was great if under utilised. Staff were all very friendly and concierge’s well informed.

Well it’s the most last hotel on our mini tour and the most expensive by far. it’s the fact that it’s near the sea that makes it so expensive I think. I don’t think it’s the service from the concierge that’s for sure ! ( one concierge seemed particularly unhelpful and one really nice. The unpleasant guy seemed to turn his nose up at us when we said that the private driver at £145 an hour to take us to Menton who would then wait while we ate at a Mirazur was too expensive . We were in Menton for 7 hours ! That would have cost nearly as much as the meal at the restaurant! Also We asked for a quiet room and although our room was really beautifully refurbished the busy road and train line could all be heard from the room . Had our request been ignored along with the request for a balcony ? It seems incredible to us that having booked our room 8 months in advance that our request was denied . It was a lovely room, newly decorated, modern clean feel . The bathroom is nice but could definitely do with some more shelf space and maybe a door that actually closes properly would be a good idea ? Staff in the bar and the restaurant have been so lovely . Very nice margarita and tasty desserts. The breakfasts are really nice as well . Maybe it is just the concierges that have let the hotel down and marred our stay !

We have just arrived again to find beautiful contemporary new bathrooms have been installed in a lot of the rooms and we are sure all guests and returning guests will love them. We had an absolutely amazing time at the Royal-Riviera in February. The hotel is incredible with spectacular views of the Mediterranean, as well as a cozy pool an lawn area overlooked by the massive terraces off of the restaurant and bar. It was absolutely immaculate, having been recently redone and refreshed (they were redoing a lot of the rooms while we were there, as a matter of fact) and is more stunning in person than any photos could ever convey. The entry and staircase, the lobby and bar, the restaurant and breakfast area were all of a fabulous design, and not one flower or book or setting was out of place. The valets and concierge were also very engaged and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, and also helped us plan an outing to Eze and arranged a perfum class at Gallimard where we created our own scent. The entire experience was 5 star, and perhaps even palace hotel level. We were blown away, and can’t wait to visit again

Can’t do more than replicate the other five star reviews. Paying a rock bottom rate we were treated like royalty without any of the rather condescending attitude that is not unknown in luxury hotels. Arriving three hours before check-in time we were served coffee in the garden free of charge while waiting a few minutes for a sea view room to be ready. Unless a distant relative leaves us a substantial legacy we won’t be paying their summer rates and, in any case don’t much like July/August Cote D’Azur temperatures, but hope to be back in the autumn.

First and foremost - I don't usually write reviews. My wife and I spent almost a month long wedding/honeymoon vacation in Europe, with nine days being in the French Riviera. Hotel Royal-Riviera stood out to us among the many excellent places we were fortunate enough to stay during our trip. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Placed at the start of St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat - the small local town of Beaulieu-Sur-Mer is only footsteps away. The town of St-Jean is a short walk down a fabulous winding seaside path. The hotel features a beautiful pool with an attached restaurant as well as a private beach reserved for hotel patrons. The beach had sand compared to the public rock beach. Towels, chairs, umbrellas -- everything was setup and provided for us immediately when we came pool side. We also ate at the on-site terrace restaurant and were served by Monrad and a wine sommelier whose name escapes me. We decided to do a curated course meal and were not disappointed. The dishes were well explained, unique and most importantly delicious. We ate lunch at the restaurant by the pool. The food here was also excellent. We sat at the bar and talked with Hugo. He recommended his favorite drink (which also happened to be mine) and we talked about his job. We had evening drinks at the inside hotel bar on multiple evenings (all of which were good). They have an old-fashioned wooden bar, but we often opted to take our drinks out on the terrace to enjoy beautiful weather. They had an excellent bar staff in Hugo and Roberto, both were attentive and chatty. Roberto is Italian and we talked with him about our upcoming trip to Italy (we were going to Positano next). One thing I noticed during our stay is how often the staff were working. It seems from the outside to be tirelessly. Their efforts were clearly displayed in how clean, organized and professionally they present themselves and the hotel they work for. I asked them what their work schedule was like. Essentially they work incredibly long, intense hours in the season and take their holiday during the off-season months when the hotel is closed. These people live and breath the work they do and it shows. The customer service we received was seriously top-notch. The staff recognized us and greeted us by name each day when we came into the lobby. Monrad (the waiter who served us dinner) regularly stopped to chat with us by the pool while he was working. The guys tending to the beach and pool were quick to take say good morning and take care anything we could need each day. I can't say enough great things about Monrad, Hugo and Roberto. All of them let me practiced my broken French with them. Quick safety run down from my perspective (28M). I genuinely felt safe in St-Jean and Beualieu-Sur-Mer. The towns were clean, well lit and seemingly well policed. I went on runs each morning and regularly went around in the evenings to checkout local shops and bars. I think the hotel and hotel grounds are as secure as it gets. There were a relatively large number of Americans staying there. Personally, I didn't always feel 100% safe in Nice. We spent some time here before we made it to HRL. Always be attentive when riding the train to visit other cities along the coast, pickpocketing is very real! My wife and I are planning to return to Hotel Royal-Riviera this year (2024). We are bringing friends and family with us because we were so impressed with our stay here. We look forward to another great experience - I seriously cannot say enough great thingsI
