Reviews of Hotel Le Toiny
The food was good, albeit extremely overpriced. $39 for Gazpacho, made of tomatoes and herbs. They didn’t even pour the 1/2 cup of broth over the few pieces of cherry tomato and sprigs of greenery. Had a better version at Eden Rock for half the price. 10 euros to park...

Had a better version at Eden Rock for half the price. 10 euros to park on your property is absurd and greedy. A misunderstanding with services became confrontational and unprofessional. Would never go back.

This place is heaven!!! I came here for my 40th birthday with my husband, and Le Toiny exceeded all expectations. Our suite was exquisite with a private pool. The service was also amazing. For my birthday, the staff went over the top and left a delicious chocolate cake, cookies, and flowers in our room once we checked in. The food is also great. I loved the beach club too (they have really good fish and coconut fish). I do recommended renting a car so you can explore the island and go to other beaches. The concierge really helped us figure out the best beaches to go to, and gave us beach chairs and an umbrella so we were prepared ;) Don’t hesitate to book Le Toiny, you will have the time of your

Lost in Luxury: When Le TOINY's Promise Falls Short
Ahead of our fifth wedding anniversary, my husband and I pondered over the perfect spot to commemorate this significant occasion. Ahead of our fifth wedding anniversary, my husband and I pondered over the perfect spot to commemorate this significant occasion. Having just returned from a vibrant three-week tour of Italy in April 2023, we yearned for a celebration that was both understated and extraordinary, and thus chose St. Barths to begin a new chapter in 'The Adventures of Yvette and Jack'. Our desires were simple: a secluded suite that whispered tranquility, gastronomic delights to tantalize our taste buds, and ample opportunity for relaxation, ideally with a pool nearby. Le TOINY appeared to fulfill all these criteria. With great anticipation, we booked the Signature Suite and meticulously planned our itinerary, which included hiking and snorkeling with sea turtles at Grand Cul-de-Sac, as well as reserving tables at the island's most renowned restaurants. In a bid to surprise my husband, I also coordinated with our stateside agent and Le TOINY’s concierge to arrange a private helicopter tour of the nearby islands. Upon our arrival, which was smoothly facilitated by the hotel’s private transfer, we were promptly escorted to our suite—a mere stone’s throw from the reception. The suite itself was a paragon of sophistication, adorned with chic decor and considerate amenities, setting a promising stage for what should have been an impeccable retreat. However, the reality that unfolded was nothing short of a debacle. Our meticulously planned anniversary dinner, which was supposed to be a magical evening complete with a private setting, music, and a custom menu, was unceremoniously downgraded to a basic meal at the hotel’s restaurant, devoid of the specially arranged floral centerpiece. This wasn't just a minor oversight; I had been in detailed correspondence with the Le TOINY concierge since March 2024, fine-tuning everything from the specific hues and varieties of the flowers to the final pricing. To then be greeted by the absence of these details was not only deeply disappointing but downright disheartening. Moreover, the helicopter tour was plagued by miscommunication—despite prior assurances 15 minutes before leaving the hotel that all we needed was an ID, not our passports, we were unexpectedly required to present our passports upon arrival causing unnecessary delays and adding to our frustration. The final straw was our checkout, marred by a series of errors including incorrect billing and hand written luggage tags, which are a nice touch if they had our correct names. It became painfully clear that while Le TOINY might excel in aesthetic presentation, it disastrously fails in delivering the five-star service it promises. What was intended to be a soothing escape turned into a series of frustrating compensations for the hotel’s deficiencies. In sum, while Le TOINY may boast the facade of luxury, it severely lacks in fulfilling the essence of premium service. Bottom line - I need another vacation to recover from the amount of aggravation and exhausting experience.

After experiencing first class service at the Carl Gustav, the Le Toiny was a real letdown. Overall the hotel is beautiful and most of the staff is top notch but the combattive attitude and poor service of management (one in particular) made my entire experience a negative one. I tried to address the issue with management only to realize that one of the individuals I received poor service from was actually management. Instead of apologizing, he proceeded to convince me that I was wrong and was the one at fault. Next time I’ll stick to the Carl Gustav

Had lunch at the Beach Club at Le Toiny. Beautiful setting, excellent food. New wait staff but professional...not excellent. Our bill was 500 euros, as expected. We gave 600 euros to include gratuity. Problem is that we paid cash. As we were leaving the manager told us we were short 100 euros. We were absolutely scammed. If you go you must pay with a credit card. We will not return which is most unfortunate because it may be one of the best meals we had on the island.

A very private and intimate hotel. Located outside of the bustle of St. Jean or Gustavia (one might say quite isolated). You trade proximity to much of St. Barths for quiet. Driving to all restaurants, except the one at the hotel, is required. It is a 50 euro taxi ride (one way) to most everywhere. St. Barths is very drivable during the day but intimidating at night due to the dark narrow streets (especially after a cocktail). All accommodations are very spacious suites with a private plunge pool. A separate sitting room, separate bedroom and spacious bathroom provide a feeling of your own home. The resort sits quite a distance from the beach and transportation by jeep, provided complimentary by hotel, is required. There is a lot of vegetation between the sea and the resort which seriously limits views from many of the suites. There are a few quite high along the hillside which probably have very nice views. However, our suite any many others were blocked by trees and a large (not very attrractive) brown salt pond, an eyesore that is hard to avoid. Therefore, we did not use our private pool and patio are very much. The service is outstanding, the food and cocktails are excellent.

This was best resort experience my wife and I ever had in our lifetime. The room was superb, with a beautiful view of the mountains and ocean. Included a personal pool and wonderful terrace. The attention to detail was amazing and the staff was second to none in terms of level of service. Especially Phillipe and Milan. Plus the food was fantastic, breakfast over the hotel pool overlooking the ocean each morning couldn't have been better. We ate out several times but never matched the dinners we had the hotel. And the private beach with restaurant is a joy as well. Highly recommend Le Toiney, it makes a special island even better. We're already making plans for next year. The only caveat, is it's located 10-15 minutes from the local shops and restaurants, which we found positive as it's quiet but does require additional ground transportation. Which they will gladly arrange. If you're planning a trip to St Barth's, you can't go wrong with Le Toiney.

The layout, design, furnishings were elegant and fit in perfectly with our surroundings. The view of the bay was stupendous. We also enjoyed the terrace and pool area. Le Toiny is located in an unspoiled part of the island which makes it stunning and fairly secluded. There is a walking trail by the hotel to savor magnificent views. With the excellent Le Toiny restaurant and Beach Club we had no reason to venture much outside the hotel as we were looking for rest, great cuisine, and privacy in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I’m not even sure where to begin. Le Toiny was perfect. The rooms are beyond spacious, the pool was great after a hike (but maybe could’ve been heated for evening dips?) and the breakfast was yummy. We will definitely be back. My one complaint is that the bathroom doesn’t have its own AC. But otherwise, it’s really fabulous. Note, the hotel is not beachfront. You have to take a “shuttle” (open air defender) down to the Beach Club.
