The hotel is amazing. The room we had was clean, tidy and comfortable. The bed is comfortable, and the temperature in the room is perfectly set. We came in to the room and received a small bag with sweets on each pillow. There was also a complimentary piece of cake waiting us. The room has a kettle with tea and coffee. There is also a mini bar.
The breakfast spread was terrific, with so many choices and options. The food is fresh, plentiful and tasty. If you have a food allergy like me, they accommodate that too. The coffee is good!
But beyond how great the food and room are the staff at the hotel is amazing. Every staff member we turned to in any given day was so professional and welcoming. They all went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. When we didn't need anything, they were smiling, always greeting everyone kindly and seemed genuinely happy to be at work. It gives such a good feeling to know that people who work there are actually happy to be at work. Says a lot about the hotel.
We stayed a week and felt so at home from the get go. We were sad to leave. I have to admit, that the Kaiserhof Hotel is the standard we will be comparing all future stays to.
Thank you all for an incredible visit to Vienna.

This is an excellent hotel. It is very near Karlsplatz and close to the UBahn. 10 minutes walk into the central Ring. The hotel has lovely rooms with excellent furnishings. Breakfast everything you could wish for, including 'Frizzante'! The staff are excellent, helpful and efficient. Whilst there is not a full restaurant there are very good bar snacks as well as local restaurants.
It fully deserves all the accolades on Tripadvisor.

What an amazing hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Made my birthday special with fizz in the room. Would highly recommend a visit. The barman was fabulous. It is somewhere we will definitely visit again in the not too distant future. Go visit!

We stayed here as part of a Jet2 city break. I did my research before booking but as always there may be a difference between internet based research and reality: thankfully not in this case. This is a great hotel with exceptional staff.
The hotel is apparently located in the diplomatic area and in the middle of the Technical University area. Its is a quiet area but with many restaurants nearby, Google & Tripadvisor are your friends for comparing and Google for getting there. So location is top notch
The location is close to Kaiser Platz with access to the underground, hence getting there and then around is easy, although walking in the city is easy, around every corner you find another impressive building.
Our room was clean, large with comfy beds and simple functional bathroom (as I get older a shower in the bath is getting less and less attractive as stepping into the bath to shower is getting harder). the room was internal facing, no view but quite a bit of light. As the hotel is directly on the street I suspect the street facing rooms are little better.
Breakfast was served in a large dining toom, beautifully turned out with attentive staff. The food was great, a wide selection of the best breakfast option - I stuck to smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, with excellent coffee.
The bar is small but comfortable. It didn't get much use while we were there but we made good use of it.
The staff are great, all speak English (as everyone appears to) and are more than happy to help.
Overall a brilliant hotel for exploring Vienna.

If you are looking for a quiet hotel in Vienna with a central location, friendly staff, great breakfast and a good bed; look no further.
My wife and I were greeted with a welcoming smile. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Our room was clean, nice and spacious, and with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was situated in a beautiful room with a good variety of choices. The hotel offers a small gym, but with new equipment that is enough for a workout.
It was easy to find the hotel. We took the CAT train to Wien Mitte, then metro U4 to Karlplatz, a big metro hub which can take you anywhere in Vienna. From there just a 5 minute walk to the hotel. It takes just about 8 minutes walk from the hotel to the Musicverein, and within 15 minutes you are right in the middle of everything.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kaiserhof, and will come back. This hotel is a gem!

We are 10 years into our retirement and have spent it doing a lot of travelling around the world. This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever been in. It is clean and comfortable, and has lovely public areas, but what really makes it stand out is its staff. They are friendly, welcoming and genuinely want to be helpful. When we left in the mornings it was to a cheery “have a good day” from whoever was on at the front desk, and when we returned there was a similarly cheery “welcome back”. They were very approachable and responsive to requests for advice on any local matters and enthusiastic to share their love of their city. Breakfast was delicious and had enough choice to satisfy every appetite, and to vary one’s choices day by day. The omelettes available on request from the kitchen were lovely, for example, and we have never seen such an extensive tea and coffee menu. The coffee was really outstanding - made by someone who knows what they are doing and who keeps their machine clean and in tip top condition. Overall, a magnificent place to stay.

We couldn’t fault the hotel in any way. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The environment was well maintained and clean. Breakfast excellent with fabulous range - buffet style. The Hotel is located perfectly for the trams and underground, a short walk from the Vienna State Opera House, accessible to all the main sights. We had a beautiful and spacious room (301). Housekeeping service left our room perfectly reset each day - PJ’s in a funny and clever design on top of the bed. Not the cheapest hotel but certainly not the most expensive. We thought it was very good value for money and would definitely use the same hotel again in the future. Vienna has so much to offer. We visited for 6 nights and got a 6 day Vienna Pass plus public transport for 72 hours. Massively got our money’s worth out of that. Make use of the Kaiserhoff Hotel and enjoy Vienna - we did and couldn’t fault it.

This is a really lovely hotel. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt welcomed and relaxed.
The room was small but had everything you need, and the beds were so incredibly comfortable. I don't sleep well generally but had some amazing sleeps here. Which could also be down to the amount we walked around Vienna.
The shower was so powerful, it was a shame to leave it behind!
I was really impressed by the sustainability efforts in this hotel, the most I've noticed in any hotels. Including a bag to take your soap home in if you didn't finish it during your stay. We chose not to have our room cleaned and towels changed to save on water, and were rewarded with a discount voucher for the bar which was a nice touch.
The breakfast was delicious, and there was an overwhelming amount of choice. On the Sunday morning we obviously arrived at peak time and one member of staff was visibly stressed, which was a shame as it did make it a slightly less pleasant experience than the other mornings we'd been there.
But overall I'd highly recommend this hotel for the comfort, friendly staff and location. It's very easy to get to from the airport and you're right in town once you're there!

This is a quality hotel, everything was very enjoyable. Very good value for February, a big reduction on spring and summer prices but still a very high standard. Breakfast has a big selection and is very enjoyable. Great stay and helpful English speaking staff.

The staff at this beautiful hotel make you feel like part of the family. The attention to detail, quality of service and the delicious and abundant breakfast is second to none. The interior is a mix of historical beauty, luxury and functionality which makes your stay effortless. The head of Catering took time to sit with me and go through the options that I could have due to an allergy. He printed documents from all of the local bakeries that supply the hotel.
The location is great for both the tram and train service. Equally easy to walk to your destination. I use a mobility scooter and the staff were incredibly thoughtful and asked if I wanted it to be kept at the front desk to avoid the hassle of taking it to our room every time we returned from an adventure. We will definitely return to #Kaiserhof and look forward to many more days exploring beautiful Vienna.

This is a very good hotel. Excellent staff, comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is well located for the central attractions and easy to reach from the airport on public transport. The only small negative for us was check in. We arrived at 2pm and left our bags as room was to be ready at 3pm. Returned at 3.15 room not ready told to wait in reception. Realised something was wrong when more guests arrived at got their room key at 3.45. Clearly something went amiss with the afternoon shift change but mistakes happen. This is a good hotel and would recommend disappointed to not be able to give 5 stars butTrip adviser reviews should be accurate in my opinion.

I travelled to Vienna with my partner for a weekend and stayed at the Kaiserhof Hotel. We had a very comfortable stay. The hotel was so clean and well maintained throughout. We were shocked to find that our room was more like a suite than a standard room as we had a bedroom, separate living room and bathroom- we had so much space.
All of the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The bar was very inviting and cosy and had a good selection of drinks on offer.
The breakfast was great with a good selection on offer. The selection of teas and coffees was great too.
The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the centre so was in easy reach to the main attractions.
On check out we were able to leave our luggage safely in a room behind reception. This allowed us to make the most of our last day before our evening flight.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

The hotel has a classic feel with the reception, lounge and dining areas all nicely decorated and well maintained. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We stayed in a comfortable Classic Room located on the 4th Floor that could be accessed by 2 lifts. Breakfast was served buffet style with a wide selection of fresh food. The lounge area has a bar and food service which was ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing in what is a gorgeous city. The hotel is located in a quiet street less than a 10 minute walk to the State Opera House, and there is also a tram stop close by within a 1-2 minute walk if preferred. We were very impressed by this hotel and really enjoyed our visit. Very happy to recommend.

Excellent hotel. We had four nights here and couldn’t fault it.
The staff are very friendly (and all speak English), especially the reception team.
The rooms are very comfortable.
There is lots of choice of food at breakfast, including fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, cooked food such as bacon and eggs, etc.
There is a small gym, and a sauna and steam room (let reception know before you want to use the sauna, so that they can make sure it is warmed up for you).
There are various restaurants within a short walking distance, and reception staff are happy to make recommendations and give directions.
The hotel is in a quiet street, but is only a few minutes walk from trams and an underground station (Karlsplatz) which has easy connections to various lines and is very easy to use. There are ticket machines in all underground stations. There is a touch screen button to choose English, and the fares are reasonable.
We had a transfer arranged from the airport but returned back by train. It is 2 stops on the underground (green line) to Landstraße, which is linked to Mitte train station, from where you can catch either train S7 or the (much more expensive) non-stop CAT (City Airport train) both of which go straight to the airport. Again just buy a ticket from the machine at the station, with instructions in English.

We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was excellent - clean, spacious and very comfortable. The shower over the bath had both a hand held nozzle and a powerful ceiling mounted head. Plenty of towels and a decent sized sink area were a bonus. Breakfast was impressive with a great amount of choice. The small bar area is comfortable and well stocked drinks wise, the only downside was the lack of bar food on the evening we hoped to eat in.
