This hotel has splendid architecture and our room was comfortable and in keeping wiith the rest of the hotel although some of the furniture was very tired. Some of the service left a bit to be desired - we had lunch in the bar when we arrived and it took 20 minutes for someone to take our order and when we came to pay the bill the three serving staff had vanished and didn't appear for a further 10 minutes. In the end I had to walk to the other end of the bar and request the bill before they disappeared again. When you're being charged €100 for 3 club sandwiches you expect better. It was a similar story in the evening - we got drinks but when we came to pay we had to wait 10 minutes for any staff to appear. It was also irritating that the rear entrance to the hotel is locked at 11 pm so if you are in a room at the far end of the hotel and want a cigarette it's a 100 metre walk each way too exit the hotel via the main entrance. This is 2024, not 1924 so put a key card entry system on the rear entrance like every other hotel in the world. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and I slept well. The breakfast was very good and service was impeccable (mind you at €50 for breakfast it should be good). On balance though given the relatively high cost I would not stay here again.

Spent two wonderful nights to celebrate my Husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary. Had booked an executive room with small patio and sea view. Upon check in Fletcher advised we had been upgraded to a terrace sea view! A lovely surprise thank you. Also, a cake was delivered to our room within ten minutes of arriving. A very nice touch. Room very pleasant and in keeping with Hôtel architecture, yes I agree some furniture a little tired. Had plenty of wardrobe space, drawers and hangers etc. Our mini bar was also locked, which we needed for our water. Reported to reception and rectified immediately. Enjoyed breakfast lovely setting with the glass dome. All staff without doubt professional and courteous. Took coffee and tea in the reception bar on both occasions good service. We ate in the Michelin star restaurant for dinner on my husband’s birthday. My husband really enjoyed the experience but if I’m honest not as good as others we’ve eaten in. Excellent location so close to the Casino Square but a quieter location, which we preferred. Walked to the Palace after speaking with staff at breakfast. The gorgeous sunny, warm and dry weather added to our total enjoyment of Monaco. We shall definitely return The Hermitage. Thank you all.

My husband and I love Monaco and last year stayed at another location. We opted to try the Hermitage this year and truly enjoyed every moment. The atmosphere is ornate but yet also gives a relaxing vibe. We chose the exclusive room with sea views. Our room was spacious and had calming decor. On our 3 night stay we did use room service and Le Limùm for a few lunches and were very impressed with both. Breakfast was also a lovely highlight. Staff was exceptional and made us feel welcomed every time we encountered them.

I see this place has a lot of good reviews.. perhaps those people got a really good rate or aren’t world travelers. The check in process was chaotic, we did not get checked in until way past 1. Never occurred to those people to go tell us to have a free coffee in their coffee shop so we just sat there as the hours rolled by. We paid $1000USD for the night, so we were paying rack rate. At the coffee shop I was served a salmon sandwich that was not fresh. They did not want to let me send it back! The waitress stands there and argues with me! Finally they take it back and I order another sandwich. A 1/2 hour later it still had not arrived. When I dare protest she brings it out and it was cold.. it is clear it had been sitting in the kitchen for at least 15 minutes. Then the bill comes and she tries to charge me for the first sandwich! Incredibly unpleasant. The room is large but for that price I expected better furnishings. Perhaps they should hire an interior designer? Pool: small and crowded, fitness room similarly lacking. These people haven’t figured out that travelers have choices and they are sitting on their laurels. You are paying for the breakfast, which is very nice if you like to eat a lot. The waiters incredibly friendly, which was pleasant, but overall I’d never stay there again.

We did not want to leave. The room was beautiful with a stunning terrace and amazing views. The breakfast in the room was incredible... the table was beautifully dressed and carried onto the terrace for us by the staff. I have not relaxed so much in years. Absolutely beautiful, stunning hotel and i can't wait to go back! Cannot recommend highly enough. Absolutely loved my stay!

I am rating the hotel Hermitage based on location, room, facilities and staff. Location: the location of the hotel is beautiful and very close to the shopping area and Casino, which we love (not as close as hotel due Paris though) Room: while the room seems luxurious at first, it was a bit disappointing. First, the photo during booking showed an amazing terrace. Sadly we did not even have a balcony. I hope that they would include photos of the actual rooms and not the best rooms that they have, which are usually given to certain clients (I will mention the special treatment we noticed that some guests got later). The room needs an update / maintenance as the curtains did not operate with ease and always allowed light in the morning. Also, you would expect actual porcelain cups for the in-room coffee machine but they only had paper cups. I am guessing this is to speed up the cleaning of the rooms but this hotel takes pride in being the second most luxurious hotel in Monaco. The room was located in the far / old section of the hotel where we had to take an elevator and climb a stair to get to the lobby, which was a bit of an inconvenience with my sore ankle. Finally, and I know this is not big (but it does affect the brand) the slippers seemed really cheap and looked like something you would get at a 3 or 4 star hotel. Facilities: we only used the pool and it is beautiful and warm. Unfortunately due to the location of our room, we had to walk through almost the entire hotel and through the lobby restaurant to access it. Staff: overall, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We did notice some special treatment to some guests when it comes to table reservation at the lobby restaurant (Limun) where the best tables are reserved (we were never told that we can reserve tables when we checked in) and we were always seated in the back area. We stood for a long time to check-in because the family in front of us were talking to 3 staff at the same to give them their keys. The bellmen were amazing. The breakfast staff were very tentative though the tended to clear tables quickly without waiting to see if we were coming back or not. Upon our departure, I asked for a new My Monte Carlo card and one of the staff at the reception printed the “Member” level card without checking my status, which is sliver; this was promptly corrected by another helpful member of the staff. I know this is not major but it did add to the overall experience. The concierge staff are amazing and really held the brand of the hotel in high regards. Now the big question, would we stay here again?? Sadly no as we previously had a phenomenal experience at the hotel de Paris and we will probably go back there on our next visit due to the service and luxurious rooms. I hope the Management at Hotel Hermitage take our comments in consideration for the sake of other guests.

Fabulous food in a stunning atmosphere. I had beef tartare with small salad and crispy fries. Together this was magical. The service is professional but unimpressive. My husband’s Crocque Monsieur was great also… Small lobby bar area but the food is great. Very pricy but worth it.
