Great hotel. Grand and historic hotel of Copenhagen. Fantastic service and staff. Great breakfast, great bar and great restaurant in the evening. Extremely comfortable rooms. One thing we found a little strange and imperfect - the spa is lovely and impressive with sauna, hammam and a huge pool but there were only two loungers for relaxing on next to the pool. Half the enjoyment of going to a 5 start hotel spa is relaxing on a lounger after a treatment or swim. Otherwise all perfect at this lovely hotel.

We were very fortunate to get reservations in the hotel over Christmas. The hotel was beautifully decorated inside and outside. After checking in, we were taken to our room. It was spacious and lacked nothing. There was a large sitting area with fruit and pastries on the table to welcome us, a large walk in closet, and an equally large bedroom. The room had a full bath and a powder room, robes and slippers, a safe, and a spectacular view looking over the ice skating rink. Special surprises were left in our room each evening. The hotel was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It was a short walk to shopping and restaurants. When in Copenhagen I would recommend staying at this hotel.

There is a fine red line of excellence and high quality from arrival to departure. The suite we stayed in was gorgeous. All details matched the overall picture of the stunning property. The location cannot be beaten. When in Copenhagen, this is THE place to stay especially before festive season!!❤️
If it is not the best one in Copenhagen, I can hardly imagine another hotel which could be better. Ideally located in the heart of the old city, this very elegant palace offers an incomparable level of service and an extremely refined environment / atmosphere. Our stay couldn’t have been...

This is an excellent hotel, one of the best in all of Europe. We were there for nearly two weeks, and also have stayed there many times in the past. The rooms are wonderfully planned, clean, have great views and are excellent for sleeping. The hotel is amazingly centrally located in Copenhagen; most places to visit and good restaurants are only a walk away. The concierge people are outstanding and the front desk people are also wonderful and very helpful. In fact, everybody who works there is very pleasant and helpful. We will write a separate review of the excellent restaurant, Marchal, which is in the hotel.

Everything was perfect. Flowers in the lobby and the suite. Treats every day. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed and seating. Great bathroom. But, my favorite part was the luggage "storage" arrangement. Instead of the single, pitiful luggage rack that most hotels provide, this one provided 2 permanent raised niches on either side of the closet to place the open suitcases in. Under those were a set of large, low drawers. These were perfect for unpacking and allowed all items to be viewed easily. This is the best arrangement I have ever seen in any hotel. Such a pleasure. Oh yes, for early arrivals... if your room is not ready, they have a private guest lounge with chaises where you can rest from jet lag. Of course, stocked with water, coffee and flowers.

I have stayed here several times and it is always luxury at its finest. I was a bit miffed though by a rather "insensitive" front desk clerk when I checked in. Having booked through Centurion at Amex, I was hoping for an upgrade. Was a special occasion (wife's B-day) and he was a hard "no. We are fully committed". I didn't buy that based on the flow of people around, so, I challenged it. More on that in a moment. We got to our room. (203). It was adequate, but small and the bed is literally 14 inches from a step (which yes, I kicked in the middle of the night and about broke my toe). Didn't have any luggage racks, missing a chair (there was one at the table and two of us). So back to my challenge. I called BS on the "we are full" argument. So, I called after we got back from dinner the front desk (spoke with David the manager). Nice guy. I did my homework first (it was almost 10 at night). I called Amex and ASKED if there was availability that night for two nights of my stay. There were several higher caliber rooms available. I also went to the hotel's website and sure enough, could book several "higher category" rooms for that night (for both nights). David finally acknowledged there was upgrade options. Offered to move us, but packing again at 10 at night wasn't high on my priority list. Next morning, David moved us (to where we should have been in the first place). A wonderful room. Made the stay a great one, but shorted me out of a night. Moral to the story, if you're a hotel and you offer an upgrade to FHR members as part of the amenity, you sure as heck better plan on the card holder doing their homework when you don't. I paid a ton for this hotel and while (David) did move me, it was a disruption that should not have happened in the first place. So, make sure you double check things, and don't be afraid to challenge the staff on their comments.

This hotel is utter perfection. The staff could not have been more kind, responsive, caring, professional and made our stay absolute perfection. They organised flowers that I asked them to organise for me to take to the Ballet. They responded immediately to every request with the greatest of care and kindness. They upgraded us to a suite - a most beautiful suite - just beautiful and as expected meticulously clean with the most comfortable bed and beautiful linen which was changed every day. Our stay enhanced our visit to beautiful Copenhagen and we hope to return next year to enjoy another fabulous visit. We came for the Verdensballetten - a fabulous programme of music and ballet in which two principal dancers of the Royal Ballet participate. We were so lucky to have a beautiful evening of such wonderful music and dance. Thank you to all the staff at the D’Angleterre Hotel for the most brilliant time - you really made our trip a truly memorable visit.

[Stayed May 19-22] Beautiful hotel in the city center with phenomenal customer service. Yes, it’s pricey but this was part of my annual birthday trip where I do a little splurging. Great location and walking distance to restaurants, shops, canals, points of interests etc. We booked the “deluxe guest room” and asked for a room overlooking the main square and we got it. You could also see Nyhaven at a distance. Welcome treats were in our room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The king size bed was absolutely comfy, the bathroom was large with good water pressure in the shower + amenities. The only negative about the room was the spotty WiFi- It was difficult when making a few FaceTime calls. Enjoyed a relaxing evening at the pool located at the Spa which also had a steam room and sauna. Maybe because it was late in the day but the pool area was a little messy with a lot of used towels lying around. Tried going into the steam room but left because it had a poor “#1” scent. The sauna and pool were fine though. Lovely products in the boutique and an area where you could test them. I did end up buying a nice serum. Overall, had a great time staying at D’Angleterre. Every staff we encountered were very professional, attentive and courteous. Extra shout out to our driver who picked us up from the airport, Jasper. He was a wealth of information and provided many tips as a local. The concierge who checked us in were also very lovely.

World class Staff and Service
We travel a lot often staying in luxury hotels around the world. D angleterre has one if not the best staff and service we ever have experienced. The location and everything is absolutely fantastic. Do nott miss the breakfast. Highly recommended.
Even the rain couldn’t spoil our stay!
What a classy hotel! Five star service in a top location. The breakfast is wonderful. Our suite was divine. They are renovating the hotel at the moment which means much of it is undercover but we didn’t mind that though some might. Special remarks about Casper at the front desk....

He could not have been more helpful and what a lovely person! He even helped me translate Danish for my family tree! A concierge of the future! A special place to stay.
