This hotel is perfect for everything in central Florence. The street is pedestrianised, so no traffic noise. The rooms are great (we had the basic and it felt like a palace). Great breakfast and lovely staff. Highly recommend. The hotel staff are very attentive, friendly and efficient. Our trip was to celebrate a big birthday and on our second day the hotel left us an iced bottle of prosecco as a wonderful surprise.

Having stayed in many hotels, both business and travel, I would rate your hotel as one of the best. Whilst it is quite small (I think 30+ rooms), it’s boutique feel is the complete antithesis to the large chain options and perfect for a Florentine stay. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and the hotel overall very clean, and the proximity to galleries, museums etc couldn’t be better. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would unreservedly recommend.

Lovely staff, who are so friendly and helpful. Great location on a main road to the cathedral. Fantastic breakfast with great pastries. Also big, soft, fluffy bath towels, which are so much nicer than some you get in other hotels. (A massive plus for me!) if you close the windows...

(A massive plus for me!) if you close the windows it is very quiet, but the music in the evenings is pleasant. The turn down service in the evenings is nice, as is the evening drink. A great place to stay if you are visiting Florence. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Excellent ,centrally located hotel. Check in was efficient. Welcome drink appreciated. Walking distance to the main sights, Duomo area, galleries and museums. All staff friendly, in breakfast room and bedroom maintenance. Good choice of foods at breakfast.

This is a very nice hotel in a prime location, on a pedestrian only street, within a short walk to the Duomo, Piazza della Reppublica and Piazza Signoria. Because of the great location, you may hear street noise if you’re facing Via Calziouli so take that into consideration. The rooms...

This is a very nice hotel in a prime location, on a pedestrian only street, within a short walk to the Duomo, Piazza della Reppublica and Piazza Signoria. Because of the great location, you may hear street noise if you’re facing Via Calziouli so take that into consideration. The rooms are very clean and pleasantly appointed. While I wish they had the nespresso type pod coffe machines I’ve had in other hotels, at least there was some instant coffee to start the day before breakfast. The breakfast room is very pretty and has a nice variety of products. It set us up for a day of sightseeing very well. Also, we found the breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. The reception area is tiny and fills up fast but they give guests the ability to check out the night before which is very helpful. It’s our third stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to come again in the future.

The Hotel Calzaiuoli in Florence Italy continues to be an excellent place to stay for any visit to this amazing city. It has the perfect location in the center of town with the Cathedral on one side and the Palazzo Vecchio on the other (and the beautiful Orsanmichele directly opposite)....

The Hotel Calzaiuoli in Florence Italy continues to be an excellent place to stay for any visit to this amazing city. It has the perfect location in the center of town with the Cathedral on one side and the Palazzo Vecchio on the other (and the beautiful Orsanmichele directly opposite). The hotel is spotless; the breakfast buffet delicious with many options; and the staff is always welcoming and ready to meet any needs the guests may have. We have stayed here on each trip to Florence since the 1990’s and hope to return.
