Unfortunately our trip to this hotel didn’t go as planned and left us with a real sour taste in our mouths. I’d booked the trip for my girlfriends birthday was all going well until her Apple Watch was taken from our room. At first we thought maybe this got caught up in the laundry so we locked the watch to make sure no personal info was taken from it. We logged the incident with the hotel and they checked cctv and apparently the staffs lockers (not sure why they would be stupid enough to keep it on site) but this all came to no avail. The day we returned we got a notification on the ‘find my’ apple app that the watch had been ‘sufficiently charged’ that morning …. So this proves the watch was taken - luckily I don’t think whoever stole this is able to use the watch unless there is some way they can factory reset. This was a real shame and put a downer on the last night as you don’t expect these things to happen and put trust in the hotel and their staff. Guest relations did try to help but most recent correspondence was to ‘contact the police’ Would advise anyone staying here in the future to be very wary of possessions as it’s clear the staff can’t be trusted - admittedly we didn’t use the safe but still this shouldn’t happen at a well respected hotel Apart from this the pool and surroundings were nice and well kept, just find it very hard to write anything positive after the experience we had

Absolutely incredible hotel.
Absolutely incredible hotel. Luxurious and comfortable. Great location. Breakfast was fantastic. Service was great. Enjoyed relaxing at the pool but also had a beach club across the street. I loved our stay here. Would love to return again.

Beautiful lobby but the service and the rooms were horrible. I came for my honeymoon and there was a leak in my room and all my clothes got soaked :( I had to pack all my stuff that I unpacked for a three day trip and grab my destroyed clothes and move to another room (where the toilet didn’t flush) and when I told them that it was an inconvenience to move and my stuff was ruined, Beatrice was rude and said “things like this happen and it’s just unfortunate that it was you”. Would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of hotels nearby where they treat you like humans.

Nice drinks but very long waiting even though not many people. Ref outside terass bar. Nice soroundings and nice staff. Not much more to tell. Have to write something to get to 200. Keep on writing. And soon on. This is crazy. ..................................................................
While the staff was nice (housekeeping in particular)I'm unsure how this hotel gets such high ratings. The tub leaked, the towel dryer wasn't functional, and its loud as anything. We had a three night stay booked through AMEX which granted us some favors, none of which we saw.Theres about a 400USD per...
While the staff was nice (housekeeping in particular)I'm unsure how this hotel gets such high ratings. The tub leaked, the towel dryer wasn't functional, and its loud as anything. We had a three night stay booked through AMEX which granted us some favors, none of which we saw.Theres about a 400USD per night deductible which is more than anywhere we stayed on the riviera. In terms of value for money, you can do better staying at The Negresco imo..Now,Having said those things the location is nice with a sandy beach across the street. You are within a 5-10 minute walking distance to the old town area.

Total waste of time and money through and through - such a hassle every step of the way. I come to Cannes 1-2 times per year, and I’ll never stay at Majestic Barrier again. Would happily go to any other hotel. At the pool bar, we ordered a sandwich and a burger and never received our burger - server wasn’t seen again and the burger was on our bill. Menu wasn’t brought to us - had to ask and even then waited twice. Asked for housekeeping to make up the room the evening of 22/6, and the room was never made up before bed. No fresh towels so was not able to shower before departure. I checked into the room at 1 pm. Was told the room was clean and awaiting inspection - checked in at the front desk again at 3:30, 4, 4:30. Room was not available until 5:30 - and bc we didn’t have the room number, we couldn’t use the 90 euro credit for the pool bar lunch. No water provided in the room. Went to checkout today - 23/6 - and wanted to use the 90 euros for breakfast. Reception said yes no problem - just wait to close the folio until after lunch. So we went to Fouquets - The service was deplorable - brunch was full (plenty of tables open and available though) and we were turned away. We were then told by reception to go to the bar. So we went there. Then no one came to take the order. Ordered a club sandwich with salmon and received chicken. Burger was cold. Wanted to use the 90 euro credit for that meal - check was declined. Had to go to reception - despite them confirming they were waiting for us to close the bill beforehand - where they had to reopen the bill. Then I had to go back to reception and settle the bill after the bar bill went through.

Lovely hotel however it was EXTREMELY loud with construction and the restaurant was closed due to preparation for an upcoming event. The concierge really pulled thru to get us restaurant reservations at one that was completely booked! The beach was ok but we live in Hawaii where hotels would never charge you for a chair at the beach and here it cost quite a bit extra. The rooms are very expensive… just let guests have a beach chair to sit on! Sheesh!

Great service, especially at the reception. The staff made their best to make us feel welcome. Roadside service: great. It is a bit pricey (€75/night) but it was good service - so no complaints there. The amenities were excellent and the hotel was ideally located in Cannes. Would highly recommend for all types of visits (solo, couples or family). My only comment is that room service happened at different (and weird) times of the day. If would have been great if cleaning was ~10/11am as is the case with most hotels of this caliber.

Beautiful room, good location
Great rooms and staff was helpful and friendly. The beach was disappointing being across the street and service there was expensive. Room we had was amazing. Expensive food and drinks so be prepared. It’s not a great value.
