My husband and I just finished up a 10 day stay at Hopkins Bay Resort. We are not typically 'resort travellers' and tend to rent villas instead. But our experience there certainly changed that...the room was spacious, clean and included a beautiful view of the beach. We ate many of our meals onsite and the food was fresh, excellently prepared and service fantastic. When you hug your servers on your last day...that's a good sign. Michelle, Veronica, Shaquille, Chavez and King took wonderful care of us. The resort does a great job being as sustainable as possible and gave great support around transfers and excursions. We'll be back!

Whole group agreed this was the best resort, best hospitality, friendliest town, most adventurous & interesting countries we have ever travelled to. Every aspect of this trip was genuinely unbelievable! Already planning return & maybe even retirement :). RESORT is gorgeous, peaceful but fun, private, clean, everything is close together, restaurant tasty & reasonable. Houses are fully equipped. Rooms are comfortable & spacious; love all the porches! Can walk out into the Sea about 50 yards with thigh-high water. Safe town and area of the country. BOOKING & COMMUNICATION was easy and convenient every step of the way. ENTIRE STAFF is accommodating, friendly, flexible, helpful & went above and beyond with special requests (or without even asking). Just a pure joy!! Thank you, JOSEPH, you made our trip!!! I am so sad to say goodbye to Hopkins Bay Resort. We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation! The villas are absolutely beautiful and roomy. The entire staff is very welcoming and accommodating. We watched the sunrise from our bed each morning. Ate breakfast, lunch & dinner daily at the Rhum Shack, we loved it. We rented a golf cart to visit the village. We enjoyed time at the pool as well as the beach each day. Joseph and Mr Cook were so awesome and brought us fresh coconut water upon request. It’s fun watching them do this. Veronika and Wilbur from the Rhum Shack were also amazing! Everyone at the resort were so kind, Joseph is always available to make your vacation better! We will be back for sure!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. That's not something you'll find at every resort. It helped us feel welcomed here. We especially liked Wilbur and King from the Rhum Shack. We enjoyed our conversations with them. Room service did a great job each day. The resort has a lot to offer, which is not something other resorts in Hopkins can offer. The ground are in great shape and well maintained. A critique of ours, which is not something that we suggest really fixing but rather just to note, is that the walls are really thin and if you are noise sensitive, neighbors in the same villa can be loud. Staff gave us suggestions for places to eat in town, and the ease at which we could take resort bikes there was great.

Staff was all very friendly, Cass/Colby were great with the activities and setting up transportation. Food/service at on-site restaurant was great. Blueberry basil smashes were our favorites. Enjoyed the ability to take bikes out and ride into town, pretty much did that for every lunch or dinner! Hopkins was a wonderful little town with great locals - favorite spots were probably Hopkins Smokey Grill and Ella's. Bugs were the only downside... make sure to rinse off after going in the ocean. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxed place to stay in Belize, Hopkins Bay is a perfect choice! My husband and I just returned from our Honeymoon trip to Hopkins Bay and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay! Someone from the resort met at us at the airport and assisted us with getting on our Maya Air flight, which we booked through the resort as well. The resort was beautiful, clean and safe! The pools were well maintained and there were plenty of chairs around, no issues finding a spot to relax. They also keep the beach clean and rake up the seaweed from the shore each morning. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, we always had water and clean towels. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We only ate at the on site restaurant twice, but the food and drinks were delicious. Make sure to sit at the bar on a swing and have a Pina Colada while you’re there! They do have bikes available to use or golf carts to rent, but we chose to walk into the village, it’s a pretty easy and quick trip on foot and a great way to experience more of Hopkins! We are already thinking about making another trip to Belize and would most likely stay at Hopkins Bay again!

The hotel and resort were exceptionally maintained. They had multiple pools, beautiful, sandy beaches and a helpful and friendly staff! They took pride in their work and it showed. We were here for two nights but we wish we could have stayed longer!

Bikes were great to get around on, beach and pool were super clean and maintained. Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We will come back.
