Absolutely beautiful hotel! Our room was spacious and lovely, and the service was outstanding. The location of this hotel is perfect. It was very easy to walk to many of the interesting sites in Florence. We would highly recommend staying here!

The hotel has an exquisite typical Florentine taste. The reception’s staff has been very useful and helped us in getting around the city and discovering all the hidden gems and if you feel tired at night you can eat at the restaurant. Also suggested to try to the SPA.

Where to start with our amazing stay at this beautiful hotel? I guess at the beginning! The hotel staff gave us a very warm and friendly welcome when we checked in. We were escorted to our room which was gorgeous. It was small but that’s to be expected for the most part in Europe. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom although small, felt luxurious. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The staff was always attentive and helpful. The hotel is centrally located which makes it easy to walk to shopping, restaurants, and museums.

Where do I even begin? First and foremost, we want to extend our gratitude to the exceptional reception and door staff. Despite a booking mishap on our part, they went above and beyond to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently, making us feel truly valued . The hotel itself is simply stunning. The rooms exude luxury and comfort, offering an impeccable stay. Housekeeping is outstanding, ensuring everything is spotless and restocked while seamlessly working around your schedule. The spa is an absolute highlight, with beautiful facilities that leave you feeling rejuvenated and glowing - with salt room and ice chamber were particular favourites. Dining at the restaurant is an experience in itself. The waitstaff and sommelier are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, creating a memorable atmosphere. Breakfast is an indulgence not to be missed, with an impressive selection of pastries and hot dishes. Once again, the service was flawless—true 5-star treatment. The place is magical. The hotel is very centrally located, within easy walking distance of everything in central historical Florence. The staff is excellent - very welcoming. The lobby is a sight in itself. The rooms are nice and very comfortable (we stayed in the new Bristol side of the hotel so I can’t speak about the rooms in the older Helvetia side but they were recently remodeled). The spa is amazing for a hotel so centrally located - it is below grade on the Bristol side so is very new (I understand the Bristol side was previously a bank which was added to the hotel in 2021) so access is very easy from the Bristol rooms. The spa is located in the old bank vaults, which previous to that were Roman baths (they left some of those Roman bath walls exposed when building the spa).

Helvetia & Bristol is one of our top 5 favorite hotels. We stayed at the property 23 years ago on our honeymoon and it was even better than we remembered. The staff on this particular visit were all very friendly and accommodating and our room was perfect! The hotel is centrally located within shorts walks to all the major points of interest, but also quiet and away from the crowds. We will always stay there when visiting in the future.

This hotel is a clear winner in Florence. The location is centrally located near the Duomo and is within a short reach of all the amazing food that the city has to offer! Cosimo at the front desk went out of his way to map out the must see attractions and provided some amazing guidance that enhanced our trip. The rooms were fabulous with ample space and great air conditioning, which was mandatory during the hot summer days and nights. The breakfast spread was marvelous and the bar and restaurant made some top notch cocktails and always served them with the perfect treat! Truly a 5-Star destination in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

The hotel is centrally located to everything one wants to see in Florence, nothing is more than a 10 minute walk, including all the museums, the Duomo, and every store from high end to tourist. Cartier, Dior, and LV are all on the corner. The hotel itself is a gorgeous, classy boutique style hotel with an old world charm and, if lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite, has two levels and two full bathrooms! The service was exceptional, every staff member goes out of their way to help, to always check to see how you are doing, always with a smile at any time of the day. We were blown away by this hotel, one of the best stays in my world travels. A must stay in Florence, do not think twice!

Right out of the taxi the 5 star service began. The concierge and team assisted with restaurant and spa bookings and our luggage was whisked up to our jr suite promptly. The room was gorgeous with plush taffeta curtains and silk wallpaper (we stayed in a Helvetia jr suite). We had a daily turn down service and the room was kept spotless by the cleaning service. The reception team gave us a personal service and Cosmo (?) (we are bad with names) was so attentive and thoughtful. Our 16th wedding anniversary was such a celebration and the hotel really made it so very special. The cafe service was impeccable and well managed. The cafe manager was great with food recommendations and wine pairing. The spice oddity cocktail was very nice if you like a warm margarita! The spa was such a treat and I’d recommend the couples full body massage and the spa generally - it is worth a visit after a busy day of touring. Thank you to the Helvetia & Bristol for such a wonderful experience, we had a lovely time

One should note that this is a leading hotels of the world hotel. In our experience LHW hotels have always offered exceptional service and cozy accommodations. Our time here was limited cavity that. The food was fantastic, the staff was kind and helpful. And the rooms quiet and clean. Breakfast was included and the bacon for this American was perfect. The only thing I could say is that room service was a bit lacking. If you are in Florence and wish to stay close but not in the middle of the tourists then this is the perfect hotel.
