We chose the ocean water villa to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The positive side, the resort provided a lovely small cake for the occasion, arranged a photo session with a photographer and the food and drinks were delicious. The resort itself was spotless, and our host (Osama) was excellent, addressing all of our questions and a great guy! Major downside was the lack of privacy; the key reason we booked the ocean water villa was for privacy. Despite the website stating that drones are not allowed, drones were consistently used throughout the resort. One drone came within a few meters of our room and recorded us on the balcony and inside the room, clearly violating our privacy (see pictures, can't upload videos). I called the front desk who said they will let security know & later that day , another drone was hovering near the beach, recording the area again. I spoke to one of the workers, who said they would inform the front desk, but I could see the drone operator from the other side of the venue and resort staff stood nearby without taking any action for breach the rule. The frequent drone usage really compromised the privacy, especially in the premium rooms and was quite loud. I would recommend opting for a more basic room or venue if privacy is important to you. I understand that the resort is beautiful and drone footage captures it wonderfully, but the resort should consider allowing recording only at specific times and in designated areas, under supervision, to ensure privacy is respected and not compromised. That said, aside from the drone issue, the resort is lovely and conveniently close to the airport.

We are just wrapping up another incredible week at the Grand Park Kodhipparu. Once again everything exceeded our expectations - but especially the warm and wonderful staff. A special mention and thank you is due to Matheen, Agung Diah, Kavi and Kundan at The Edge restaurant, Cathy our host, Bhoomi at the Beach Club, Yasdan on the buggy and of course Imar and the amazing Kadek Sekarini (who we were so happy to see again) at the spa, for their daily care and attention. The island is as beautiful, peaceful and idyllic as we remembered it. It's a smallish resort island, immaculately maintained and conveniently close to Male. The buffet meals in The Edge are amazing with plenty of choice (- we only ate there). We would also like to thank the management for accommodating our requests regarding arrival and departure times, but especially with regard to the specific villa we had requested. This has definitely become our favourite place and first choice in the Maldives, looking as we are for somewhere quiet, serene and relaxing, yet still offering all the amenities and activities that we might want (- beach club, watersports, excursions, a choice of beaches, etc.). Well done and thank you to the whole team for making our dreams come true, especially those team members mentioned above who we interacted with daily and who went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one - but thanks really to everyone, gardeners, chefs, housekeepers, spa staff, etc.

Review: The place is generally okay, but there were several issues that affected my comfort during my stay. Pros: • The atmosphere is quiet, and the location is convenient. • The staff, especially Osama, was excellent—very helpful and quick to respond to requests. Cons: • The lighting has multiple issues. Although some parts were fixed, including the sea light and the fan, many lights are still not working, affecting the overall brightness of the place. • The cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. The trash bin was not emptied for three days, which is unacceptable. • Most importantly, the bed was in very bad condition, with noticeable old blood stains. This was extremely unpleasant and made my stay uncomfortable. Cleanliness should be a top priority, and this level of hygiene is simply not acceptable. I hope these issues will be addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests.

The experience was phenomenal, the staff was wonderful, I want to thank everyone Sai was very funny and always attentive, Agung, Kenza, Gupita all of them special. Our water villa was like a picture and it felt like being in a movie and they always cleaned it well. We chose all inclusive, where we could choose from the menu some selected dishes. A few nights we ate at Fire door where the food was of a higher level. Everything beautiful and very sweet as at the end of the trip all the staff say goodbye when you leave with the boat

Amazing resort not too far from the airport - only a 20min boat ride. The staff is super friendly and ready to help any time. They have 3 restaurants and their buffet has options for all tastes. Would totally recommend this place for couples and families.
Top notch private resort in maldives
The services are top quality! I got a helpful life host who always help to answer all my question. My room also beautiful and so comfy. The taste of the food so delicious. Also i got complimentary photoshoot with profesional photographer. Would definitely come back❤️
The best!!!! I’d recommend over and over. Can’t wait to go back. Everything was perfect. Photographer took pictures of us that came out amazing. The restaurants and the service was awesome. Snorkeling from our room & great beach activities. The best place to spend our honeymoon.
It was an amazing experience, 11days on this beautiful island. Excellent food, drinks and programs. The staff were fantastic, polite, nice, fast and they paid attention to us all the time. The island, the ocean, the villa and the snorkeling experiences are indescribable. Definitely going back next year.

We travelled to Grand Park for the New Year period. We stayed in a Reef View Water Villa which was well appointed with a private pool, hammock and direct access to the ocean where we could snorkel. Good variety of reef fish to see which was enjoyable. The food options on the island are excellent and the service everywhere we went was top notch. Unfortunately there was a bad weather event whilst we were here which lasted 3 days. This wasn’t expected and many of the staff said it was very unusual at this time of year. Besides not being able to swim in the oceans etc due to this, the wind, rain and size of the waves (reef villas face the open ocean) resulted in our villa shaking and rocking (almost like being on a boat) and the waves could be heard crashing into the villa all day and all night. At high tide (which was at 3am) the water and waves were extremely loud and woke us up consistently. It was far from ideal and put a dampener on everything for us. In saying that, this is a great resort but be aware that any bad weather will result in the reef villas being affected.

Fantastic place for couples
The hotel check us in before check-in time and the service is great! We enjoyed the full range of services despite the bad weather. I wished they provided drinking water in their restaurants though. The room facilities are great and we could snorkel off our villa. Totally recommend this place.

This was a greatly enjoyable return visit to Grand Park Kodhipparu. Our first visit was in March 2020, not long after the resort opened for business. We were so impressed that we have continued returning 7 more times, the latest in February/March 2025. Presumably all our earlier Tripadvisor reports can still be located on this site, because they set out in more detail all the reasons why we are so satisfied there and return so many times. All the advantages still apply and there has been no fall in standards. There have only been improvements: for example each year the vegetation that was planted when the resort opened has matured even more, with additional planting so that it looks like it has been in place for decades. There are the most beautiful flowers and it is a joy seeing the orchids thriving, attached to the trunks of palm trees. All that thanks to the efforts of resort’s Green Team. Although the island is fairly compact, bicycles have recently been added. A particular reason why we return so often is the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, from the senior management downwards, some of whom have been there since our first visit. We’d like to pay tribute to Eliza, our resort host (or rather hostess), for whom no request seems to be too much trouble, although she anticipates almost all our needs. Ninja, who looked after our villa and whose artistic talents resulted in lovely bed decorations and flowery messages in the sand outside our door. There are wonderful people in the buffet restaurant, The Edge. I should mention Raymond the head of cuisine, whose team produced some dishes we love, after I had only mentioned them in passing. His buffet is the best we have ever experienced in any resort (Maldives or otherwise). Thanks also to the kitchen team who are all so eager to please. Then look out for Matheen, the serene front of house manager and his hard working team including particularly Kavi, Rani (yes, Rani, you see I had remembered your name from our previous visit!!), Agung, Haisham (who recently received a well earned promotion), Kundan and more. And if you’d like fine dining (for which you can receive credit for your food-included package), then you can sample the likes of lobster and wagyu beef and be welcomed by another excellent front of house team, particularly the boss Shiyam and the delightful Puja (who has blossomed greatly since she first arrived at the resort). The free of charge morning and evening yoga classes, led by Bhoomi, are another reason for our regular return visits. The sports centre is excellent and we have been grateful for BeeJay’s training support in the gym, in my case important because at my superannuated age I won’t be permitted to undergo scheduled invasive surgery unless I maintain my fitness. The house reef is excellent for snorkelling and more accessible than in many resorts. The current will carry you slowly down the edge of the reef, meaning little effort needs to be made simply to float along and wonder at the numerous colourful species of fish and other underwater life. I loved seeing different varieties of very colourful box fish for the first time on our latest visit. There are resident marine biologists providing lectures and guided snorkelling trips. So thanks Grand Park for another very enjoyable visit and to the whole team for maintaining such high standards. We have booked another visit for later this year and much look forward to being back for our 9th time!
