A travel agency booked us at this hotel for our honeymoon. The reception staff were friendly at check in, providing us a map with thorough directions to major locations. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a nespresso machine. The air conditioning works great, which was nice to come back to after hot days! We reserved times at the spa onsite for a massage and the jacuzzi/pool, which were both nice. We had a 3 course meal at the restaurant (see photos), which was delicious. The daily breakfast was more than adequate. There’s a little terrace for afternoon drinks. The staff had no trouble calling taxis for us, and they were so nice at breakfast and dinner. Location is walkable to restaurants, Trevi fountain, and the Spanish steps; not bad taxi drives to the train, Colosseum, etc.

We were at this hotel as part of our Perillo Tour. This was the first hotel in our 10 day tour. We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and we found the hotel to be in a great location, walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (about 15 mins.), other attractions and close to stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful, granted we were with a tour group, but I did see the staff with other guests and they appeared to be very helpful and friendly. One of the things I loved was the fact that our room had a beautiful big bathroom, plenty of lights in the room, and a small charging cube on the nightstand that you could plug usb cords, etc. into. Perfect for charging my iphone, apple watch, ipad, etc. The hotel has a small bar and decent sized restaurant. We had breakfast there each morning and one evening, when we had dinner on our own, we ate there. The food was very good. Overall, a very good experience and if we were ever to travel to Rome again on our own, I would definitely consider this hotel.

No complain about the room and service you get typical of European standard. The small intimate spa is nice after a day out walking. Lots of walking required to see Rome tourist spots. First time in spa was great, warm water however the next day water was cold and spa staff informed will be warm next time but it remained cold on our next visit. Upon checking out we were charged 10 euro per person per day for Rome city tax - that was 80 euros for 4 nights stay which I later checked in internet normally about 5 euros !

A Total Teardown in the Heart of Rome. Disappointing and Disgusting.

A total disappointment. The absolute worst. Decaying, decrepit, dirty, dingy and dark. The location is good, but this a dying. neglected property. The room was dusty throughout. The electical outlets are antiquated. Basic amenities are missing. The few towels provided are threadbare and no washcloths are provided. Although spacy, the shower is configured so one has to stand firmly against the wall in order to be under the shower head. It was so bad that we checked out early and went home.

Amazing hotel, great staff. Lovely location. Close to all tourist attractions, 15mins walk to Termini station. Special mention to Manual who checked us in, he was great! Julia assisted us with booking tickets to colloseum. Lovely breakfast, and the breakfast staff were amazing. Will be back.
Major Tourist trap. Coffee and cappuccinos were horrible. Can’t understand why they serve such a crappy cup of coffee at such an expensive hotel. Capuccinos were watered down and worst we had in all of Italy. Room was so so and lacked adequet plug areas, had to unplug the lamps...
Major Tourist trap. Coffee and cappuccinos were horrible. Can’t understand why they serve such a crappy cup of coffee at such an expensive hotel. Capuccinos were watered down and worst we had in all of Italy. Room was so so and lacked adequet plug areas, had to unplug the lamps on both sides of the bed just to plug in iPhones/chargers etc. 1 sitting chair, nowhere to really place anything on so we used and iron the entire time as a catch all. A tiny glass table crowed in the corner with stuff we didn’t need. Lighting was not good at all in the stuffy small bathroom. Absolutely zero counter space to put anything on. Water leaks out of shower all over the floor due to the poor design of the tiny shower door that shuts against another even smaller door on hinges that doesn’t close properly. A/C does not stay on based on temp. There must be some sort of auto off timer you can’t see so I was up a couple of times per night to turn it back on. Pillows are hard as a rock including the sub par bed, tossed and turned the entire time we were there. We will never come back here again.

The staff of the Grand Hotel Palace was knowledgeable and helpful with our every request. They summoned taxies, gave recommendations for restaurants which were very good, and were always very welcoming. The rooms were large, clean, and bright. We especially enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet which offered both hot and cold options and was kept well stocked. The hotel itself is in a good location, across from the American Embassy. There were several good restaurants nearby and, of course, a gelato shop two blocks away. We would recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay in Rome.

Spent a comfortable five nights in the Grand Hotel Palace Rome. Our room was very clean and well serviced and ready for us when we arrived. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and we enjoyed the lunch we had in the restaurant mid week.We found the location to be excellent , within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.We had bought a metro/ bus pass for the week but only used it once as it was so easy to walk and see Rome. We would stay here again.
