While this hotel has some excellent features, sadly there are some elements which mean the total experience was only average. First the positives - the garden restaurant is lovely, shaded by mature trees and an ideal place for lunch. The rooftop pool and bar have superb views over the bay of Naples, ideal for sunbathing, watching the sunset, or a drink after dark. The location is good, a short 10 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento and away from the busiest parts of the city. Sadly, the hotel could do with a refresh, our room smelt “musty” and they obviously got a good deal on ceramic tiles for the last refit, they are everywhere. The public areas, especially the main restaurant were more brightly lit than the average school canteen, and the evening meal food was simply awful, at best bland and lacking flavour (such a contrast from lunch) and we certainly regretted paying for half board. Book here for the positives, but avoid the evening restaurant.

A beautiful hotel with great reviews. Unfortunately, the service was less than desirable. The women at the front desk were friendly and helpful, but the males were not. We received a call to confirm our airport transportation and were told we would be provided a box breakfast since the restaurant would not be open yet. When we asked to change the time the man at the front desk said nothing was arranged without even looking. We insisted there was and he finally checked a notebook and found our arrangements. The boxed breakfast was not available upon our departure as promised. The restaurant had wonderful staff and service. I sat in the bar for about 20 minutes and was not acknowledged so decided to go for a walk instead. Our room was to be a garden view. We were on the 3rd floor and faced an apartment building with balconies filled with laundry hanging, storage cabinets, Brooms, and mops. Looking down, you could see the hotel patio with seating. Not a garden view. The temperature-controlled pool was cold. Housekeeping was marginal. We would receive 1 - 2 bottles of water on 3 of our 11 days, turn down service with chocolates, on 2 of 11 days, and find a cleaning rag left behind. The instant coffee was replenished anywhere from 2 to 3 cups, but never the 4 we experienced our 1st day. There was no consistency. They may have been short-staffed.

We were very impressed straight away on arrival. The staff were instantly friendly offering to take our heavy suitcases up to our room. Everything was explained to us clearly making us feel welcome straight away. The room did not disappoint, it was very spacious with a comfortable bed with a safe provided for valuables. We had an amazing view of Mount Vesuvius which we were very impressed with (we booked a premier room with a sea view). Breakfast and dinner was lovely, lots of choice and a separate vegetarian menu. The dinner was a La Carte and it was nice to have table service rather than a buffet. The staff were friendly, accommodating and made you feel very welcome. Staff also left a chocolate on our bed each night, which was a lovely touch. The grounds were nice, on ground level there was a big pool, which we did brave late afternoon however it probably was too cold as the sun went down. We also tried the smaller pool on the rooftop overlooking Mount Vesuvius which was an experience. Location was perfect for us, a short walk to the town of Sorrento to pick up our coach for our day experience to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. It was also near to the train station for another one of our planned day trips to Herculaneum. Finally, the hotel also provided us with a takeaway breakfast on departure as we were leaving for the airport before breakfast time. We would fully recommend this hotel.

We visited this hotel on a couples weekend in September. It’s a classic Italian style hotel, very conveniently located for the town of Sorrento. Overall, the hotel is excellent. The food quality was very good and the service was not only good, but enjoyable. The staff had humour and engagement with you, it felt personal. The rooms are classically Italian style, so don’t expect modern, but it felt like a nice experience. Would recommend.

Good location. Very good staff. Food was inconsistant. My wife and I went on a Half Board basis. The breakfast choices were good, but the evening meals ranged from very good to bizarre. First evening choice was King Prawns.....they came with boiled cauliflower...really? We were able to find something reasonable on the menu each day, and the fish dishes were generally good, but not of the standard you should expect for a good quality hotel. However, everything else was fine. One point that should be made is that when "signing" your bar bill to your room, you are expected to sign a blank page on a computer tablet - not ideal as it could be open to abuse. It would be better to have the items we ordered shown as well. The entertainment provided in the evenings was top rate. Would we go back ? I think I would try some other locations first.

This is a lovely hotel and just outside the main town centre away from the main hustle and bustle of traffic. The staff are very friendly and supportive throughout, from the desk to the restaurant, bars and housekeeping. They can never do enough for you. The hotel is lovely and clean throughout with great use of open and fresh space. Lots of TV channels if required and a few Sky channels in English. This was useful when we needed an afternoon in. The restaurant breakfast buffet is good and there was an omlette & eggs of your choice freshly cooked by a chef. The evening meal had a varied choice and were all well cooked and tasty. With always a good choice of deserts. If I was being picky then need better coffee in the room, wasn’t expecting instant N’cafe! Normally I take my own coffee on holiday and an Aeropress, don’t tend to bother with Italian holidays as coffee mostly amazing. Overall a great hotel and would stay there again.

The hotel is situated only several minutes walk from the main square in the Town but in a quiet area. The restaurant staff really were the best, very friendly and gave great service. A really big thank you to them, it shows that they really care about the guests and enjoy their jobs. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, one of the best I've been to. Classy hotel but not stuffy in the slightest, we felt very comfortable and at home here.

Stayed half board for one week, food was delicious and plenty of choice. All dining staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was extremely clean. Very central for the restaurants and harbour. Roof too pool and terrace has fantastic sea views and all staff very friendly and helpful, free sunbed towels every day was a big bonus. Breakfast was buffet style, was delicious and plenty of choice. Can be a little noisy along the corridors to the rooms with people closing their doors it's very echoy. But if you have a few cocktails 🍸 then you don't notice it the same. Would definitely return.

An absolute gem of a hotel. We 1st enjoyed 5 nights here whilst exploring Sorrento, Capri and the gulf of Naples and then ( having enjoyed our stay so much) returned a week later to enjoy our last night in the area here. It’s in a great location close enough to walk to central Sorrento amenities and tourist hot spots whilst being in a quiet, suburban area away from the summer crowds. The hotel is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The main reason we rate it so highly and returned for our last night however was the welcoming and attentive staff. Special mentions go to Enza and Alfonso on reception and to the cheerful luggage porter ( whose name we unfortunately don’t have to share). The complimentary ‘bubbles’ left for us on our returning night were an indication of the superb customer experience enjoyed here.

This hotel was fabulous, one of the best we have stayed at.We stayed for 9 nights and didn't want to leave. Our room was very good.all the hotel was spotless and the cleaners seemed to be cleaning all day! Breakfast was in the garden and there was plenty of choice of hot and cold food. But the best part was probably the evening meals, which were almost faultless, with plenty of choice of starters and main courses and 3 great desserts. The restaurant staff were all friendly, attentive and hard working.Reception staff were also very helpful and pleasant. Also the location is good as it is only about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town but in a fairly quiet area. The only comment we would make is perhaps the swimming pool on the roof could stay open slightly longer than 630pm,say until 730pm? We would love to go back to Sorrento and would without hesitation stay at this hotel again.
