The Golden Rock Dive and Nature Resort on Sint Eustatius is, for us, the hidden gem of the Caribbean. We have rarely experienced such warm hospitality. The manager made sure we lacked nothing. At the Breeze restaurant (what an interior!), we were thoroughly spoiled, with vegetables fresh from the garden. And then our apartment: a stunning view, tasteful decor, and a blissful bathroom. Everything was more than spotlessly clean, with an abundance of luxurious towels. Additionally, the lush, architecturally designed tropical garden, covering about 20 hectares, was a true paradise. The vibrant flowers, along with colorful hummingbirds and butterflies, were a feast for the eyes. Although we're not divers, diving instructor Sjouke took us on a snorkeling tour, where we spotted turtles and even a 17th-century cannon.

Apologies in advance for the lengthy review. The service received via email was a prelude to the service received upon our arrival to the Resort. Contacting reservation via email was a breeze. The responsiveness of Taura and other members of the reservation and reception team was excellent. Our trip was a birthday weekend getaway and I wanted it to be special with a romantic dinner. Reservations linked me with Tiaan who was superb. After exchanging several emails in which Tiaan inquired of any food allergies, dietary restrictions etc., he created a special menu. It was all set, we just needed to get to the island. Arriving to St. Eustatius from St. Kitts, we were picked up by a staff of the Resort. When we got to the Resort we were blown away by its beauty. Taura and team welcomed us with cold towels and a cold glass of prosecco. This was a nice touch to cool you down as it was a hot day. Check-in was a breeze. We were escorted to our cottage via golf cart by a very pleasant young lady whose name (begins with J) keeps escaping me. Upon arrival at our cottage, it was a 'WOW' moment. The view from the cottage is excellent. The cottage beautiful, nicely decorated, clean, cozy and has all the amenities you would need. A+ in my book. Housekeeping visited daily to clean the cottage and provided fresh towels and linens on every visit. There are two restaurants, Breeze is nicely nestled at the top and Bobbie's at the bottom of the resort. The quality of food at Breeze was good and the quality at Bobbie Beach Club was excellent. The price at both restaurants in my opinion is quite reasonable, portion size were decent and food made from fresh ingredients. Dinner was held at Bobbie's while breakfast and lunch was at Breeze. Tiaan and team exceeded my expectations with the romantic dinner. Dinner was set up on the deck by the Lagoon with candles and all.❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️ Our server Abdy made sure that everything was going well and remained attentive to our needs. The starter dish, main course and dessert were to die for. Our dessert was delivered to us personally by the chef which was a very nice touch. It was also nice finally meeting Tiaan who made our special night possible. The resort has beautiful sceneries, amazing views with a variety of plants and flowers. I love that it is eco-friendly, energy efficient, had a solar farm, has a green house to grow it's own teas, leafy greens, etc, and foul house for fresh eggs. We took advantage of having fresh mint tea and fresh ginger tea at breakfast. Moving around the resort is hassle free as there is a train that moves around the resort. No worries if the train is not available, someone from reception is always willing to take you to wherever you wish to go on the resort. We did not utilize the pools, play tennis or mini golf as it was very hot and we hate being in the sun. However, the spa service was nice and relaxing. Only negative in the whole experience was the long unpaved road to the resort. However, once you see the resort you forget all about it until you leave the resort Overall, we had an awesome stay at the Resort. The staff is very friendly, kind, pays attention to your needs and provide exceptional service. The resort is quite relaxing, clean, tranquil and beautiful. The food and cocktails are delicious. Thanks to Taura, the reservation and reception team, the house keeping staff, the staff at Breeze. Thanks also to the team at Bobbie's Beach Club especially Chef, Tiaan, Sheldon, Abdy, Devroy, and Candice and everyone else we had the pleasure of meeting. Thanks to all the staff of the Resort for taking such pride in what you do. Keep up the excellent work. I rate the entire experience 10/10!!!! If you are looking for a place to stay on your visit to St. Eustatius whether for a day trip, weekend getaway or vacation, I highly recommend Golden Rock Dive and Nature Resort.

My husband and I stayed in the Golden Rock Resort and it was an amazing experience. We felt relaxed and enjoyed the cleanliness of the resort and the professional and friendly staff. We were received with cold towels and drinks in the reception. We enjoyed the nature feel of the hotel with all of the beautiful flowers and plants around. The restaurant Breeze was another experience in itself with free breakfast. The view to the ocean and on the other side the views to volcano which looked so majestic was a view that will never get old. We will be back to repeat this outstanding experience.

Regrets on not being able to name them all. Geo was always on the job, smiling and Marah was unbelievably helpful during our stay, particularly when it came to problem-solve a ferry issue we experienced. Real pros! We really cannot say enough. They anticipated our needs and acted before we needed to ask!

We visited Golden Rock for a week's diving vacation and were blown away by this beautiful resort and property. Everything is shiny and new and beautiful! Don't bother with the official island botanical gardens when you're staying in the middle of one. From the rooms to the restaurants to the pools to the lagoon to the immense garden greenhouse, everything was breath taking. We were lucky to go during off season and really enjoyed the less crowded experience. Despite that, nothing was lacking and you had the full resort experience. We very much enjoyed both he food and the friendly service at the restaurants. The view of the ocean and grounds from our balcony was gorgeous. The room itself was very well appointed with a spectacular bathroom and the most comfortable resort bed I've ever slept in. You could almost swim in the bathtub and the rainfall shower was a luxury touch. The staff was some of the friendliest I've ever encountered. Without exception everyone was friendly and accommodating and wanted to make sure you had the experience of a lifetime, including the shuttle drivers with whom the resort contracted. Although you aren't staying "in town," town was just a 10 minute drive away, so you were still conveniently located even though you felt like you were in a remote oasis. While there, we explored other potential places to stay, but none could compare to Golden Rock. A note about the diving - we booked before Golden Rock officially started their own dive operation, so we dove with a different one. We did explore the GR's dive shop and operation though, and it looked like it would be an amazing experience. We definitely intend to go back!

We had an amazing long weekend Get Away at the Golden Rock Resort. The beautiful appointed room with plush bath robes, slippers, Nespresso Machine and amazing view exceeded our expectations. Everything is done in taste, the grounds meticulous. Knowing that the resort is eco friendly and self sustainable shows the care and commitment to the environment and that is important to us. The personal attention to my last minute request to do a 4 hour hike in the Quill was much appreciated. I truly enjoyed the scenery. Thank you, we will be back!

First, the positives. The resort itself is beautiful. It was like staying in a botanical garden. The villa was spacious and very comfortable. It was kept immaculately clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly and there was plenty of hot water. The food at the restaurant was good, but not great. The desserts were bland. The service was slow and never with a smile, except for Emma who was always pleasant. On the negative side, the dive center was disorganized. They forgot my dive gear one day and gave my husband the wrong BCD the next day. The conditions were not ideal with wind rocking the little dive boat which made entry and exit tricky, but the dive guides did their best to help everyone. Check-out was a chore and it took over half an hour to get the final bill straight. The resort has much potential, but we probably won't go back.
