Location and outside restaurants great, hotel feels tired
As with almost all. these hotels they are if a little standard, very good. This is a bit worn out I think. The views are fantastic. One huge drawback is that the bar is next to a cigar area which is repulsive in this day and age. Staff great as...
As with almost all. these hotels they are if a little standard, very good. This is a bit worn out I think. The views are fantastic. One huge drawback is that the bar is next to a cigar area which is repulsive in this day and age. Staff great as usual. Rooms OK but pricey given they feel a bit tatty.

Even their salon had very good staff.

Not as good as our previous seven stays yet more expensive.
To be clear, the property is beautiful. It's always been my "go-to" place in Istanbul, and the Bosphorus view from the expansive terrace is unique. It's a Four Seasons, so it isn't cheap, and it's not for bargain hunters. This visit, however, disappointed us. A few thoughts: One, the wine...
To be clear, the property is beautiful. It's always been my "go-to" place in Istanbul, and the Bosphorus view from the expansive terrace is unique. It's a Four Seasons, so it isn't cheap, and it's not for bargain hunters. This visit, however, disappointed us. A few thoughts: One, the wine mark-ups are insane and a little offensive. (Note to management: Please don't write back about taxes in Turkey or inflation or the Turkish Lira; that's not the issue.) A bottle of standard Moet costs €60 (max) in an Istanbul wine store. In the Ritz Carlton in Dubai, where we also just stayed) a bottle of Moet is €185 (3x retail), which is about what it costs in a 5* restaurant in Dubai. At the Intercontinental Maldives, where we flew in from, it's €180. At the Four Seasons in Istanbul, it's an unapologetic €325, over 5x retail. That's not a fair way to treat your customers, and frankly, it's probably counterproductive as it certainly stopped us from ordering a second bottle. I checked the mark-ups of a few other local and imported wines, and it was the same story. 5-6x retail. Anyhow, if you are planning on drinking anything with a cork, it's better to avoid the Four Seasons until they align with the market. Two, they have put a fragrance everywhere from the igloos (the small outdoor huts you can eat in during the winter) to the corridors to the bathrooms. It's cloying and unpleasant. Please dial this down. Three, the food staff service levels have slipped. I am guessing that some of the new properties, like The Peninsula (which, sorry, we are going to check out next time), poached good staff, but they are generally off their game. The concierge was great, as always. Four, the rooms are getting a little tired, especially the showers, which could use some decalcification and checking to see if the taps function well. This is just some constructive criticism, but at the prices charged, we will check out a 5* competitor on our next trip.

The free boat service from one location to another Four Seasons Location was a cherry on top. The ever-side breakfast opportunity at the restaurant and the picturesque view made the mornings beautiful and mesmerizing. The furnishings and the art are just wonderful. The staff was very humble and hospitable. Thanks for showing us the remarkable hospitality.

The general condition of the hotel is not bad, but we were not satisfied with the spa service and our stay ended badly. A department director with poor English, which does not suit a 5-star hotel. Even though we explained the problem we were experiencing many times, she could not understand us and respond. The answer he gave us showed that she did not understand us and just made me very angry.

An absolute gem of calm and relaxation in a bustling city. Beautiful restaurant and pool area right by the Bosphorus. We ate at the Turkish restaurant on our first evening which was excellent. We also really enjoyed the morning breakfasts. The indoor spa is fantastic - one of the most impressive I’ve been to with very attentive staff too. Whole team at the hotel was great - Four Seasons WhatsApp feature makes it so easy to speak with the concierge to arrange bookings etc. Nice neighbourhood too - not super touristy and quite civilised. Good to escape to after having been in the centre. This hotel allows you to combine lounging by the pool / in the spa with exploring the city.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul in August. We stayed at many Four Seasons Hotels around the world and we found very good and problem-free accommodation in all of them. We visited many touristic places and places in Istanbul. On the last day of our stay, we went to the spa reception to buy a massage to get rid of our tiredness. While waiting at the reception, the spa manager, Ms. Togba, whose name I later learned, came to us and asked what we wanted. I said we wanted a Thai massage because we were tired. She said there was no Thai massage, and I asked what massage she recommended. She called the masseuse to come to us, saying 1 minute. This lady will take care of you, good evening, and left us. This was a very disrespectful behavior. We left the spa without getting a massage from my wife. I tell my friends that I do not recommend the Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL

I won't get tired of reviewing this hotel. It is above excellent, it is a pleasure to be there , not only because of the fabulous location but because of the service. We try to visit this hotel at least once a year as just sitting in the terrace looking at the Bosphorus is an incredible experience. The rooms in the new buildings are contemporary. We try to stay in the ones with a view but even if there is no view of the Bosphorus from the room there are plenty of opportunities to sit by it. The rooms at the main building are gorgeous, high ceilings and big. Pillows, mattress, bathrooms, etc. well appointed and with choice of hard or soft. Service of the room, water, snacks, etc. excellent, with turn down service and change of towels twice a day. Coffee machine with good coffee and excellent teas in the room. Swimming pool area lovely and well supported. What makes this hotel special, in addition to location, is its people. From the front desk to the waiters in the restaurants to the pool attendants, all try to recognize the customers and do special little things like bringing you your favorite drink or bread in the morning. Samet (not sure this is this young man's name) at Yali restaurant brought us a bag of terebinth coffee to take with us as we have never heard of it (he also prepared it for us while there). Ms Ebru Ayas, in customer experience, is really unique, she does go the extra mile for the customers and we thank her for this. The concierge team is extraordinary! Mentioning Kemal and Efe in particular because we have talked with them more often and want to thank them in partiular, they know what is going on in Istambul, from historic to art to restaurants.; and they make an effort to know the client and their interests. The whole concierge team is excellent! they are able to get tour guides that are specialist in particular issue, like bizantine period, or Sinan's works. We thank you all you have turned Istambul in our preferred place to visit.

Sorry no availability. Four Seasons is know for top notch services and hospitality but this Four Season it was nothing but a huge disappointment . She only cares a little about guest relations. You get the feeling that the hotel staff feels forced to work and is not happy to provide the superior Four Seasons you come to expect. The service quality in other parts of the hotel other than the room and restaurant is almost non-existent. It is not acceptable and shameful for the female manager to shout at the spa employee during our use of the spa.Poor quality hotel management low quality Never again. Dont go to thİs pleace ...

When I went to Istanbul, we generally preferred 5-star hotels around the Taksim. I wanted to try something new and after reading the reviews from Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus I booked a standard room. Not even one star for this review The only thing good about this hotel was location and thats it!!! We booked to stay in this hotel at the end of July and had one of the worst experiences of hotels in Istanbul. The lobby was nice.I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, This room should not be of this poor quality for this price..The service concept is very lacking. What should be done to get them to care about you? We used the spa but no one is looking after you. If you ask for anything, it will be 40 minutes,There is a lack of management. I will never stay here again
