We LOVE the Jasper Park Lodge (JPL). We are from Ontario and it is our favourite place to go in Canada. We go there whenever we can (every year or other year). It is a retreat for us, while feeling like a home away from home. We are very familiar with the property and experience, however this last stay went well above expectations. The degree of personal attention and customer care was exceptional. There are so many kind, warm, caring and attentive staff at the JPL lodge (Karla, Shiva, Brendan, Corey, Paddy to name a few), who made our stay very special. The property is stunning. The setting in Jasper is perfect, on the lake, near the Athabasca, and a short distance to town. The amenities on the property are excellent, with so much to do and enjoy right outside your room. We have stayed in a variety of different room, with a wide selection of options. Our favourites are the rooms on the lake or the more remote parts of the property, where the natural beautiful and quiet are at its best. Many of the rooms are newly renovated, and they are doing a great job with renovations so that this historic property has modern luxury/comfort. We will be back soon!

We came here mid-week for a two night stay for our anniversary. We come to Jasper a couple times a year and wanted to support the community now that they are ready for visitors after the fire. The staff at JPL were all wonderful. Shout out to Joshua at the front desk :-) We loved petting Kala the hotel dog. Our room was spotless and staff were very attentive texting to ask if we need anything. The hotel had wine, treats, and a beautiful painting, along with towel art and rose petals on the bed when we arrived. The lodge is beautiful and we loved the crackling fireplaces and live music during dinner and in the lounge. We had the perfect getaway and are so glad we treated ourselves to a stay at JPL.

I had such high expectations of this lodge but unfortunately it was fairly disappointing, which was mainly due to the fact that the value for money ratio is just not right here, which causes a little irritation right from the start. The pool is lovely and the surroundings are of course stunning. Also great that we could use complimentary ice skates to skate on the lake! But when it comes to the rooms, this lodge seriously disappoints for the prices they charge. Our room was on the lodge's grounds in a cabin kind of little building. It felt just more like an upgraded motel room, than a room we paid 400 CAD for. When I pay that kind of money (in low season even, I can't imagine what they charge in summer) I expect more than this. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was upgraded and nice, but the room did just not justify its price. I have stayed in far more luxuruous rooms for less money. I was also kind of annoyed by the fact that we apparently could not sit in the main lodge in the lobby area without ordering expensive drinks. We just wanted to sit on a couch there for 20 minutes before heading out, and a waitress immediately approached us with glasses of water asking what we wanted to drink. When we told her we just wanted to sit she went away. But came back 15 minutes later "Still no drinks?" in a slightly irritated way. In hindsight we had rather stayed in our hotel in Jasper town, which was much better value for money. The stay in the Jasper Park Lodge was to treat ourselves but it did not meet up to what you would expect for room prices like this.

We stayed for a few days between Christmas and New Year's, seeking some quiet and peaceful time to unwind, and the Jasper Park Lodge was the perfect choice! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the renovated bathroom was especially nice. What really stood out to us, however, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and cheerful. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We’ve already booked our stay for next year and can’t wait to return!

"A True Gem in the Heart of the Canadian Rockies!" Our stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge was nothing short of magical! Nestled among serene, tree-lined shores of a pristine lake and surrounded by jaw-dropping mountain views, the setting alone feels like stepping into a postcard. The rustic yet luxurious cabin-style accommodations were perfectly cozy, with every modern amenity you'd expect from Fairmont while still maintaining a charming, woodsy feel that really connects you to the area. What really set this stay apart, though, was the proactive impeccable service. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a nature lover’s paradise, and yet, it caters just as beautifully to those seeking a restful retreat. We left feeling completely recharged and can't wait to come back for next anniversary. Highly recommend—this is a 10/10 experience worth every moment! P.S. The symphony under the sky did not work out the way it was planned due to weather, making it another reason to come back!

We loved to see JPL overall survived such a disaster for Jasper. As usual the staff are wonderful and the grounds are in great condition. There is of course much lost and so much to do! We wish everyone in Jasper a prosperous winter and all the best for rebuilding!!🤗

The location of the hotel is fantastic but I am sorry to say that is the best thing about it. The hotel is beautifully situated in the middle of it’s own grounds overlooking Lac Beauvert. There are watercraft to hire to take full advantage of the lake, also bikes to hire. There is a well equipped gym and a decent outdoor pool. When we arrived we were advised the room we had booked was unavailable due to a maintenance issue. The only available room they could offer us was of a lower grade so we had no choice but to take it. Whilst I cannot comment on the room we had booked the room we had to take, located in the main lodge, was dated, tired and shabby. In fact so poor I am surprised it is considered fit for purpose at the prices charged. The bathroom had been nicely refurbished relatively recently but it’s a shame they didn’t continue and do the room as well. There was no air conditioning in the room, just a ceiling fan and a noisy floor standing fan to supplement it. Talking to fellow guests it seems there are few rooms at JPL which offer air conditioning. The great hall is given over to dining and the bar. Fancying a drink in the late afternoon after a long day in the car we found the limited outside seating allocated to the bar was unsurprisingly full. There were plenty of empty tables on the other side of some planters acting as a dividing line. These were allocated to the restaurant. Please can we use one of these tables? Are you eating? Not this early. Then no, those are for diners. Eventually after a little pleading they took pity on us and allowed us to use a dining table for drinks on the promise we would move if a diner needed it! We had one meal in the Italian restaurant. The a la carte menu is short and I can’t say we had the best meal, it was pricey for what it was but I guess the market is captive if you don’t want to drive into Jasper for evening meals (the hotel shuttle only runs until 5 or 6pm). The other evenings we ate in the Great Hall which offered a pretty standard selection of salads, fish & chips, burgers etc. Breakfast was a mixture of self service and cooked to order dishes. It was generally busy and a couple of mornings we had to wait for a table. Looking around it seemed as if breakfast was short staffed with it taking a while to clear & reset tables. If we hadn’t been offered breakfast to compensate for the downgraded room type we would have headed to the coffee shop for coffee and pastries. We were really looking forward to staying at JPL but sadly left disappointed and let down. The history and the location can only compensate for so much. The staff are doing their best to work with a dated product which really needs to be refreshed & reviewed on many levels. There are better Fairmonts and the contrast between JPL & Pacific Rim Vancouver is huge.

We enjoyed our stay except that the weather was very hot (above 30 Celsius). Despite paying over $800 per night, our room was not air conditioned. The overhead fan helped a tiny bit as did the room fan. At the end of our stay, we discovered another device in the closet that might have been a cooling device, except that its existence and functionality was never pointed out or explained. We were also perplexed that, despite a property fee of $75 per day, there was not free use of various amenities (canoes, SUPs, etc.) If you are going to charge such high prices, more should be included rather than gouging people for extra amenities.
