Fairmont Grand Del Mar

We stayed at this hotel after our wedding and had a beautiful suite! The grounds are perfect and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We love this property and went on a gorgeous walk with our coffees from the little cafe on site. Lovely!

Went to Brunch over Valentine's Day weekend at Amaya....what a fantastic time we had with the 3 course menu for $60.00 per person. This is an incredible deal! Service with Andrea was top notch and the food matched the beauty of this gorgeous 5* resort Fairmont Grand Del Mar in Del Mar/San Diego, CA. Can't say enough of the manager, Michael Malichem of Amaya....great guy and it shows how much he loves his job! Can't wait to come back here since it's like being in Italy but the resort is in my hometown!

A few staff members that really stood out with their stories and customer service.: Ignacio and Nadya at Amaya were working during my stay. They were amazing. Garrett and Chris at the pool were Rockstars helping us. Jenelle made the perfect cocktails to enjoy by the fire pit in the beautiful room. Nattakitta made the highlight of the trip- the hiking trails easy to go on – from the check in, you were super helpful. Kara and the entire team at the Afternoon tea made me feel so special with the birthday card! Maria and the Housekeeping team, 5 stars! It was a pleasure to meet you and have ya’ll assist us. We will return and hope to see you again.

I stay at the Fairmont Del Mar in San Diego regularly. The experience is always fantastic. I find the hotel and the grounds very relaxing and tranquil. The staff (especially the concierge team and the the car service - Jay) are tremendous. I look forward to visiting again.

This hotel is a stunning property. The architecture is Mediterranean with many fine features. We spent our birthdays here and New Year’s Eve. We used the spa and the Equestrian center and enjoyed New Year’s eve at Avaya restaurant. I want to acknowledge the staff at the Equestrian center. It is run by two very capable women who truly care for these horses. Not only are the stables immaculate, but the horses are healthy and so well groomed that one can tell they are truly loved. My wife and I recently celebrated our 50th anniversary staying at Fairmont Grand Del Mar. It was outstanding. Christian and staff were so welcoming and helpful. So was concierge Jay Paris. Our room was amazing, so was food. The Grand is perfect.

Everything was perfect during our stay. All the staff are incredibly courteous and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile! One of the perks that truly made our stay was the use of the house car to get wherever we wanted to go in the area. Jay, our driver drove us multiple times over a two day period. He was so professional and genuine. He pointed out many incredible sites as he drove us from point to point and was always there waiting on us at the agreed upon time. He truly made our trip so much more memorable as we had not been to San Diego in quite some time and didn’t remember our way around. We will return to the Grand Del Mar again in the future and we hope we will meet up with Jay upon our return! Thanks for the great service!

Everyone we encountered was so warm, so welcoming, and so helpful. Seriously, the best hospitality I have ever experienced. And it felt so genuine. Highlights were Jameka so thoughtfully helping me arrange for our arrival and ensured some lovely treats awaited us in the room for my husband's birthday, Shel at the Concierge describing the renovations to the library and detailing all the Italian influence on the property, Robert who gave stellar recommendations and service at our dinner in Amaya, and Jade who was so gracious finding us an optimal spot at the pool. I love, love, loved the room, our view, and the decor - we stayed at the St Regis in Florence this summer, and the luxurious inspiration taken for the Fairmont Grand Del Mar is clear. You genuinely could be in Tuscany. The grounds are gorgeous, our dog enjoyed all our walks, his bowls, bed, and toy. We will absolutely be back. What an absolute treat. Thank you!
