I always jot down reviews at the time but I am a bit late putting on Trip Advisor. This was an excellent hotel. Very welcoming when we arrived with a glass of bubbles, which went down very well after a long journey. Reception was very friendly and so helpful showing us around the complex. We had a junior suite with pool beach villa. Our room was wonderful and situated in a great place looking out to the sea. I would definitely recommend this room. Lovely to have the pool to step into but also you can walk down a couple of steps and you are on the private hotel beach. Our villa was shady, which was good but if you did want to get in sun I bought a lilo and floated in the pool which was in the sun or you can go down to the many sunbeds dotted around. The breakfast room was wonderful and there was a beautiful view. There was a special touch with having Buck’s Fizz at breakfast as well. One evening there was a Greek night with dancers and musicians. They were all very good and there was a great atmosphere. The one thing I would say is we booked to go at 8 thinking it was like England and a couple of hours for table so the hot food had got a bit cold. You actually had the table for whole night, so we could have booked earlier. I went to the spa and had a fantastic massage. It is expensive but it is totally worth it. It is a fantastic venue with a great view. The town is less than 10 minutes up the road and a great place with lots of restaurants and shops. There are lots of other places in surrounding areas to explore. I would definitely recommend this place to stay and hopefully we will return again.

We were lucky enough to spend a wonderful week here last week. The location is superb and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are so attentive and get to know within a few hours of your arrival. We have to mention Vasia and Manos in reception who were always willing to help in whatever way they could, Stavros at breakfast and in Il Borro, who was always there with a smile on his face and Oleksander on the beach who was really efficient and friendly. We had an amazing split level suite with our own pool and this really exceeded our expectations. The room was serviced twice a day and was immaculate. We ate in Il Borro twice which was delicious but the best meal was at the sister hotel, Elounda Mare, the Friday evening fish night, this is not to be missed. Fantastic! Breakfast was in a beautiful room overlooking Miabello Bay and was exactly how we like breakfast, quiet and civilised with an extensive menu. All in all we had the best time and can’t wait to come back.

We came home yesterday after a perfect 5 day stay for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome, all of the staff are incredibly helpful and so friendly. We stayed in a junior beach front suite with private pool, with steps right down to the beach. The room was lovely and kept very clean, having our own pool made for such a relaxing experience. There’s a quiet private beach with plenty of sun beds too, as well as a large pool right by the bar which served great cocktails! Restaurant choice is very good and we had no issues with getting a table, we generally reserved the day before or on the morning of from the tablet in the room which made it really easy! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, we absolutely loved this beautiful hotel, thank you to all for making our honeymoon so special.

The hotel and grounds were absolutely lovely! We had a room with our own pool and 2 floors - very luxurious! There were two private beaches on the property with a very relaxing beach bar with servers bringing your food and drink orders right to your beach chair. The only thing we didn't like was that you had to make reservations for dinners. We are more of a "go whenever we feel like it" couple, so didn't like the time constraints and lack of a more casual place to eat on property as the beach bar was not open for dinner. Hotel was situated near a lot of places to eat off property, but it was not walkable to get off property - had to call a taxi which the hotel was happy to help with. The staff was very polite and helpful. Very upscale and nice place!

Elounda Peninsula Resort is our all time favorite place to stay. This was our third trip to Crete since and our third time at this fabulous resort. Elounda Peninsula really strives to give their guests a wonderful experience and we see this by the many little extras and changes the resort has done over the years. Each time we visit we are amazed, and the next time we visit, we are even more amazed! We stayed in the two floor Peninsula Collection Suite which was luxurious, comfortable and perfect for us. We loved relaxing in our private pool while admiring the beautiful view. I must mention how very comfortable the bed and bedding were. We slept so well and woke up refreshed and ready for the day. Since our last stay two new restaurant venues were added along with menu changes in the existing ones. This along with fantastic room service made for many delicious dining options. There is plenty to do at the resort including sunning at the great beach or pool and swimming in the sea. Although we were a couple, we did notice lots for kids to do here as well. In addition my husband was able to enjoy the on site golf course twice! I enjoyed a massage and facial at Six Senses Spa. Truly a marvelous spa which gives an aura of relaxation from the minute you enter. The ginger tea afterwards is just one of the many little extras you will find at this resort. Above all though, it is the people here who make this resort the fantastic place it is. The cheerful greetings and good conversations give a personal touch that is very uniquely Elounda Peninsula. Not only the friendliness of all but the knowledge of the area and the willingness to help was so appreciated. I even appreciated those patiently listening and helping with my very rudimentary Greek. Elounda Peninsula truly showcases Cretan hospitality and Greek Philoxenia! We can’t wait to return in 2025!

This is a very long overdue review and because of the level of service we received, I want to make sure I leave a good review for others to read. The staff at this resort are faultless. Exceptional. We were addressed by name by reception and catering staff and they quite simply couldn't do enough for us. Our sea view suite was on two levels. Living room and an open area with a private pool and upstairs was a large bedroom with balcony, dressing area and huge bathroom. The only negative is that it is very difficult to lug suitcases upstairs because (a) the steps are very highly polished wood and (b) they are sort of spiral. The resort has a gym and indoor pool but private changing rooms are lacking. Because the resort is on a steep hill rooms are on various levels. If someone is disabled they may find it rather difficult although there is a lift.

Firstly, a huge thank you to each and every single member of staff at the Peninsula for making our trip perfect in every way. I have travelled to Crete many times searching for luxurious accommodation, secluded fine beaches, fine dining and first class service and the Peninsula is by far the very best of them all. The rooms, resort, beaches, pools and restaurants are all spotlessly clean with such attention to detail throughout the whole complex. The service from every member of staff was unparalleled with a warm smile and a considerate, nonintrusive approach. They weren't buzzing round you and were almost hidden but the moment you needed anything they would suddenly appear..!!! amazing. Food quality and service was outstanding especially in ill Borro, Elies and The Yacht Club with everything fresh and cooked to perfection... wine glass was never empty for more than 10 seconds..!! i counted..! A big shout out to the Ill Borro staff (senior waiter with longish black hair.. sorry didn't get your name.!) and the manager who allowed us to have a dish off the lunch menu at the evening dinner. the prawns..!! wow..!! I often judge a hotel or resort complex/island on how many times 'NO' was said... I'm pretty sure the word 'NO' is not in the vocabulary of any of the staff at the Peninsula... within reason of course.!! We were upgraded to the presidential villa which is similar to a luxury Maldives beach villa.. albeit at extra cost this level of accommodation is stunning ..!! The E class Mercedes transfer (with cream leather interior) laid on by the hotel was of course a nice extra touch. not the smelly c class...!! To summarise, the Peninsula is a remarkable, stunning and beautiful hotel complex with unrivalled luxury and service. We were made to feel so very special throughout our stay. I would whole heartedly recommend the Peninsula to couples and families alike for everything you could wish for in a luxury mediterranean holiday. Can't wait to come back..!!!
