The hotel was amazing! The staff here goes above and beyond for every request. it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. The facilities were well looked after, the breakfast was exceptional. One of the highlights was the hotel’s many pools

Brilliant Service. We arrived very late in the evening around 23:30 and the staff were very friendly at that hour when you would expect them to be very tired and worn out. They also helped take your bags to the room. Our room was great. Not too far from the main road to get to town (10-minute walk) and we were very lucky to be in the shade and very close to the pool. The views are amazing. ☀️🇬🇷

We stayed at El Greco for 9 nights. Perfect location, stunning views and a fantastic resort, the place is kept spotless its very spread out so you don’t feel cramped by people. Breakfast was great and even better as several little cats live on the resort they turn up at breakfast in hope of a share of the buffet, obviously we obliged. The staff are really friendly and helpful, especially a young man who worked at the lower level breakfast area and also in the restaurant/bar in the evening he was so polite and kind he set us an outside table each morning, he is an asset to El Greco for sure. We loved our stay at this calm beautiful resort so much. I can’t recommend staying here enough.

Really enjoyed our stay here. No complaints. Rooms were nice with front porches and patio tables. Hotel was easily walkable to the main part of town. Beautiful sunsets out front in the evening. Bed was a little too firm. Try the mango margarita. It will knock your socks off.

El Greco clean and tidy and nice location as only 10 minutes walk into Fira.Pharmacy and supermarket close by and fairly priced.Hotel quiet at this time of year but it appears that cruise ships use it for their passengers to stop and explore for a couple of days and then breakfast can be rather busy.Breakfast pretty average but food from restaurants generally good.Storage in rooms limited but the location makes this place a good stop.Be prepared to walk and walk as Fira and Oia have many hills and lots of steps so you really need to be good on your feet.We did the five hour boat trip with Greek salad and wine with various stops for swimming and totally enjoyed it although the volcanic hot springs a little disappointing.105 euro's each which initially I thought expensive but we had such a good time but this was helped by the others on the boat from Canada and Brazil.I could imagine it being a nightmare if you had someone on their being a pain!Local bus to Oia was easy and we shared a sea taxi back to Fira 25 euros each after we had descended down the vast amount of steps to the small port.Shops were great in both Fira and Oia and some great sites. On the whole a great holiday and experience ,nice hotel but be prepared to spend some money, walk some miles and it does get busy when the cruise ships are in although not overwhelming and apparently better than the summer months.

Great facilities - although hotel is large and sprawls across a large area facing the caldera (magnificent sunsets!) the rooms are grouped around the several pools so that it actually feels much smaller. Our room was in a quiet spot - never a problem to get sunbed. Has welcome kettle and fridge. Breakfasts are excellent - local and international options - lots of choice. Room was huge with big bathroom - walk in shower- and very clean. Staff are lovely - very friendly and helpful. Location is great - just a few minutes walk out of Fira with supermarket, shops, eateries. Recommend.

This hotel is mostly a delight. Immaculate grounds, lovely pools and high standard rooms and staff. The complex is split into four parts. First level being closer to the road and a little noisier. This level has reception. Level two has the main bar & restaurants. Level three has the largest pool. Level four is the furtherst away, and has the gym and spa. Room cleaning is done every day to a high standard. The rooms themselves are a decent size. A large fridge is provided to store your own drinks. Rather cheekily, despite signs saying don't drink the water, you only get two small bottles for free when you arrive. The bar overcharges for bottles of water, so it's recommended to stockup at a supermarket when you're out. Breakfast is pretty good, apart from the scrambled eggs. Meals at the bar are of a high standard, as are the drinks. Fairly pricey as you'd expect. The walk into Fira is straight forward, although the road can get pretty busy. Winds can get quite gusty here too! Overall a highly recommended hotel with many nearby options for eating out etc.

It was 12 years ago since we were last here (2012). El Greco is well laid out in general. Accommodation over 3 floors only which helps keeps its Greek architecture in tact. We booked a superior double room which when we arrived, were not happy with (room 6) There was nothing superior about it. Two tiny scruffy-looking single beds pushed together (not even 2 double beds). It all looked tired/worn and in dire need of refurbishing. We requested another room (which we had to pay extra for) but felt it was worth it (room 201) Note: The rooms do not always resemble their website photos. Downsides: we are a couple in our early seventies. Both perfectly fit/able but there was no handrail to climb the steps leading up to our room (201) This is something we noticed throughout the hotel complex. NO HANDRAILS ANYWHERE. Even to get into and out of the swimming pools and jacuzzi. We watched as so many over 55’s struggled to get in and struggled even more to get out of jacuzzi with any dignity. It’s like they don’t cater for anyone over 50. I have never been so aware of the lack of something so basic and so badly needed. The hotel is located on the busiest street leading into the capital Fira (very pretty once in the heart of) However, we were shocked by the level of traffic noise which made it unpleasant to say the least, when walking into the centre of Fira each night for dinner. The road is frighteningly dangerous to cross quad bikes revving up, cars clearly speeding, yet there are no deterrents in operation. No speed calming measures or speed cameras, just a big free for all. It was never this busy when we last came in 2012. We also noticed the level of rubbish/litter just dumped all along the roadside. It was a shock as it appears no-one is clearing it up. Shame on the local authority…..if there even is one. This was our 3rd and last visit.

The first impression is of a modern, well designed hotel complex. Situated adjacent to a main road (first stop off from the airport), 5 mins from a local mini supermarket. It is divided into areas, each having its own pool, loungers etc. Yes, some guests do lay out towels early morning but that's just how it is. The room was nice (standard double) with all that you'd expect Inc safe , mini fridge, air conditioning. Although there are two restaurants, most tended to use the one nearest to reception. We were on half-board so a buffet. All the food was varied * tasty but not, in my opinion, amazing. The staff, inc the wonderful Eleftherier, were absolutely sensational. It is so apparent the extremely long hours they work. Nothing is too much trouble and a smile is always to be seen. Having toured the island, we are so pleased we chose El Greco for our Santorini experience and we think you would too.

Just got back home to the not so warm UK today after a lovely week at this resort (10-17th September). Staff were very welcoming from the word go, Daniel helped us to our room with our suitcases (we stayed in Room 321). The resort is very clean and well maintained and is very bright and welcoming, the raised planters with all the beautiful flowers and olive trees look great against the backdrop of the white walls and pale blue windows and doors. Our room was clean and comfortable and just the right size for two of us- we were upgraded on arrival and had the benefit of an extra room off the main suite- I assume this is for a child as their is a single bed in there. We used this to store our suitcases and worn clothes in. Bathroom was lovely with a huge walk in shower- the only reason I gave a four star review is that on a couple of occasions I have been in the shower covered in soap and the shower has gone from a really nice flow to almost a cold trickle. Not sure if this is just the plumbing/water pressure on the island… The restaurant always had lovely food and the dishes were marked if they were suitable for vegetarians. The desserts are to die for- I have weighed myself since arriving home and have gained 6kg! Restaurant and bar staff were always very busy but always very polite and friendly and always took a minute to ask how your day had been etc. I can’t remember the names of everyone who we spoke to as there are so many staff, but in particular the ladies in the restaurant were very lovely. We have had a wonderful time in Santorini and as a first time in Greece it was a nice insight as to what the rest of the Greek islands will be like. Thank you to everyone at the resort who made our stay so nice, from the reception staff to the housekeeper. A big thank you to Eleftheria, Esmerelda and Alexander for always finding time to have a quick chat with us at the end of the day before our evening meal. There is a gorgeous cat who lives at the hotel, not sure of her name but on the day we were leaving we discovered that she has some kittens- you can see them peeping over the wall above the pool bar 😻

Cannot recommend El Greco Resort in Fira high enough. Super facility and within easy 10 min leisurely stroll from town. Superb and friendly staff. Nothing they cannot resolve and always with a smile. Their pride in working here is evident, from reception staff who continually reposition couch pillows in the reception foyer, to the guys dropping and collecting you to your room on arrival and departure, to the capable restaurant / breakfast staff and above all, the superb cleaning staff, who daily cleaned our room and shaped the towels on the bed differently each day. It was evident you all work very hard! We loved our visit❤️ THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We miss you already!!!

Wow. Just wow. Loved this place and everything about it. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed more. Great resort and located a short walk to Fira. Helpful staff, very nice rooms and a choice of multiple pools. Would definitely stay there again.
