We stayed for 2 nights celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel is centrally situated and a wonderful historic building. Our room was clean and comfortable. Would I say luxurious? Questionable. I emailed the hotel in advance to ask if I could buy a surprise bottle of champagne for my husband to be placed in our room…confirmed by email, but disappointingly didn’t materialise. We asked for a kettle but unfortunately tea bags couldn’t be found for ages. On our first night, there was an event in the main bar, so we couldn’t get a drink there. Breakfast is on a mezzanine floor, in my opinion dated and drab, with harsh spotlights and no atmosphere. We were surprised that the hotel don’t cook eggs etc freshly…precooked omelettes and extremely dry bread. Lots of pre packed goods. Fresh croissants were tasty though. We had a wonderful time in Verona, but we felt the hotel was a bit disappointing I’m afraid.

Hotel Due Torri is ideally located in Piazza S. Anastasia in front of Basilica S. Anastasia. Walk to many touristic sights: Arena (10 mins), Giardino Giusti (15 mins...a must on any visit in Verona), Piazza delle Erbe (2 mins), Castel Vecchio (15 mins). The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and well-trained. The concierge helped us track down the taxi driver when I left my phone in the taxi. Marie Clare and the service team in the hotel's rooftop terrace and breakfast room are super pleasant, efficient, and helpful. We had only a deluxe-level room due to limited availability and had a nice surprise of a room with a view of the piazza. The bathroom is small but included all amenities including a spacious shower unit equipped with a rainshower with strong water pressure. The rooftop terrace at sunset is the place to be. We very much enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hotel Due Torri while in beautiful Verona. We hope to make a return visit to both.

Due Torri is a beautiful, majestic, old hotel in the heart of Verona. We were greeted warmly by Jordana and luckily, our room was ready for check in when we arrived. It was a quiet, clean, spacious and comfortable room. The AC was not working as well as we would have liked and the toilet was not flushing at first. They sent a maintenance worker quickly to fix the issues. Then the AC made the room very comfortable temperature wise and the toilet worked but had a little dripping issue on the inside. It did not really bother us so we decided not to mention it as we already had workers in the room and just wanted to enjoy our stay. We made a day trip to Modena and asked one of the gentleman at the front desk for some assistance. He was not overly friendly or helpful so that was disappointing but we managed to figure that out on our own. I also read later in the room, that the hotel offered different tours. It would have been nice if that staff member had mentioned it to us as an option. However, he did not. It was our 20th wedding anniversary so were given a lovely bottle of champagne in the room which was a really nice surprise!! We ordered coffee in the morning a few times and the coffee and biscuits are exceptional!! As is the room service staff. I also have to mention the house keeping staff. Warm and friendly and they do a wonderful job. The room was spotless and tidy and comfortable. And, soooo peaceful and quiet. Coming from New York, it was nice to have some peace. Even though we had some minor issues, we would still highly recommend Due Torri and would give it 5 stars!! Grazie mille!!!

This is a very nice historic hotel in a great central Verona location. It has been updated while retaining its character. The service is excellent; the staff is extremely helpful in arranging tours and activities in Verona and the surrounding area. The restaurant is very nice, and breakfasts are quite complete. It is an easy walk to the Arena, the Stone Bridge, the Roman Theater, the central Piazza, etc. It is also close to Juliet’s house, though we didn’t bother going there.

We arrived without difficulty flowing our GPS and were immediately met by several staff who quickly took our luggage and parked our car. Check-in was efficient. Staff were personable. Our room was not ready, but our bags were stored and we were quickly off to see the city with the map they gave us. The location is excellent, just a few steps from some of the top attractions. The Basilica di Santa Anastasia is right out the front door. Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori are a pleasant four or five minute walk. Our room was well equipped with a comfortable bed, quality linens, strong Wi-Fi, and plenty of outlets for phone and tablet charging. The bath had quality amenities and fluffy towels. The lobby and other public rooms are showcases with artwork, widely spaced comfortable furniture, and a lobby bar. The rooftop bar and restaurant offers views of the city, and the staff were very polite and efficient. Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide selection hot and cold items, fresh breads and pastries, and fresh fruit and fruit juices.

I visited this hotel last year whilst touring Italy with my husband and loved it and Verona so much that I returned again this year, with my daughter. The location is perfect, walking distance to everywhere. It’s in a beautiful building with lots of interesting antiques and artefacts, including fantastic frescoes downstairs in the basement. The rooftop bar has fantastic views of the city and is a relaxing space for pre dinner drinks. The breakfast was delicious, the bed rooms are comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying.

Our last night, with an early morning flight was a disaster; we arrived back late after the opera with the air conditioning not working properly, only a night porter on duty and no one who knew how the hotels air-conditioning units operate. We were told we should sleep in another room and it would be looked at the next day. We had to plead for someone to bother to come to the room and at least look at why it appeared to be set at heating instead of cooling. Eventually, the very kind bar manager did manage an improvement from over 26 degrees. He set the temperature to be taken down to 21 degrees. The room was hot all night and still over 24 degrees in the morning. Please bear in mind the room rate for that night was euros 800! In general, the poor service, room furnishings, condition and amenities were definitely not 5 star and could not in any way justify your price of 500/800 Euros per night! We had to request a kettle to make tea and find somewhere to put the tray. Your faulty kettle adaptor fused the room and nothing worked despite two staff in attendance until we used our own adaptor. Housekeeping left the dirty cups for us to wash in the bathroom basin. No iron, and only one chair was provided, The handle on the bedside draw fell off and twice we had to request a toilet roll as even though our room had just been made up, there was only a quarter of a roll left and no spare. Cartons of water also appeared to be strictly rationed or forgotten and turndown service sweets only left on three nights of our stay. We appreciate your hotel has a marvellous location and atmosphere and antique furniture, and you are lucky to have the fantastic staff at reception and breakfast service, but none of this makes up for very poor service by any standard, let alone a five star hotel. We did not expect to encounter such a poor customer experience and disappointment. I regret to say it feels as if you are profiteering during opera nights by charging double the already high room rates but not providing the management, resources, training and to achieve the level of excellence such prices demand
