Just stayed for a week and had a fantastic experience. Location in the hills was beautiful. The grounds were wonderfully landscaped and the staff were constantly working hard to maintain the walkways, keeping them free from fallen leaves etc. The hiking trail is a fantastic amenity that offers a challenge, beautiful views, and some great bird watching. The pools were clean and plentiful. As long as you are up at a reasonable time, there was no fight for chairs, or space. We often had a small pool all to ourselves throughout the day. Poolside service was excellent. Eduardo took very good care of us all week. He was incredibly friendly, remembered our names, and we never waited long for service at all. He worked hard all day! A very special thank you to him for his outstanding service. Bus to the beach was easy and not a long ride. We had a great day down there enjoying the drinks, food and service. The beach peddlers were present but not as intrusive or aggressive as other places we have been. Room was clean, and well serviced on a daily basis. Balcony facing the trees was also great for seeing the birds and coati. The food options at the buffet were plentiful and served our needs just fine. The Mexican night was the best for sure. If you are after 5 star/high end dining experience and a la carte options, this isn't your place. If you are easy going, not looking to spend a fortune and looking for consistently good options, you'll do just fine here! Overall, our experience was a really great one, no complaints of any significance and we would come back.

We really enjoyed this resort. The pools were wonderful with lots of great options if you were wanting sun or shade. We LOVED the tower 6 full sun pool. The food was all ready good, the Baja tacos at the half moon pool were amazing!! It does feel a little limiting with only the buffet and Japanese restaurant, but it was still enjoyable. The hills and walking were more than we expected, it's a lot but the staff in golf carts are always happy to give you a ride. The staff at this resort is what really makes it stand out. They were all so friendly, helping and are working- it added so much to the vacation! But Alejandro at the beach was by far one of the best parts of our trip. His service was incredible and we enjoyed visiting with him so much. A wonderful person and such a blessing to this resort to have such incredible staff. Overall it was a great stay and I would return.

This property exceeded any expectation we had; and they were high!! From the moment our Uber turned into view we were in awe! Absolutely stunning resort with such a unique layout and design. We enjoyed the variety of food and beverage options, we stayed for a week and never ate off the resort and never tired of what was offered. The Teppanyaki restaurant was delicious, we went twice! Food and beverages were available all day with little bars and stands everywhere! We took the free shuttle to the beach club a couple of times, around a 10 minute trip each way but the drive takes you through the main area of town so we were able to scope out some cute shops and pubs to check out. The beach club also had food, drinks and solid wifi which was awesome. And we saw whales each time we went! By far the best part about this property though would have to be the amazing staff! The day we checked in we were greeted by Benny at the bar and made a point to find him everyday! He was always smiling and always ready to laugh around, he made every night so enjoyable and personal! Danny was another favourite of ours, he knew everyone by name and was just the sweetest to chat with! I’d also like to mention Armando, so lively and absolutely hilarious, he was the ring leader of our most exciting night there! I truly hope to go back, I can’t say enough about this whole trip!

We had an overall excellent experience. Our room was in the new tower six and exceeded our expectations. The hotel boasts privacy in many of the pools or a more interactive experience if you should choose. Although we were weary about there being limited choices for meals, the buffet was beyond great with tons of choices that changed daily and the Teppanyaki experience was interactive and fun! The staff were awesome all around! In particular, Manuel in the lobby bar was an excellent and attentive bartender that went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We loved his coffee specialties every morning and delicious handcrafted cocktails that we have never encountered at any other resort. The beach bar was a nice change for an afternoon outing and Suzanna made it extra special. We hope to come back to this resort for years to come.

Very limited options for food, low quality food, and drinks were not made with fresh fruit (except at the beach bar where they used the same frozen berry mixture for almost all drinks). Breakfast had items reheated from last night’s dinner. Hot water intermittent in the room, random sewage smells throughout the resort. Our air conditioner broke. The “pantry” ran out of cups so we couldn’t get coffee in the morning. The attendant standing right there just shrugged and suggested we use a noodle bowl. All of the meat was the lowest quality. Actually, all the food, fruit, and alcohol was as well. The fresh salsas and quesadillas were good, so there’s that.

Totally chillaxed after a recent stay at the Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit. My husband and I had a fabulous time. We saw humpback whales breach and flute, pelicans, and terns as we sat at the hotel beach club. Fabiola gave a warm kind welcome at the delightful Tzicuri Spa. I had a wonderful body relaxing massage and amazing facial by Xochitl as part of one of their rituals. They melted my heart when gave me a beautiful hand crafted Ojo de Dios. The team at the hotel are welcoming and wonderful. My husband and I were very well looked after throughout our stay. The layout of lots of different pools is so relaxing as each allows for different mood. We were really impressed with Benny in the lobby bar with his delish cocktails and excellent service . By the pool Dash, Erik, Equardo and Richard’s served us with a smile and so helpful. We had a totally wonderful experience which made extra special by the wonderful team. Thanks also to Alma at front desk for arranging shower facilities after our gym visit as we had a late departure. Thank you all at the resort. 🙏🪷

This place is phenomenal! Unlike anywhere we have stayed before and we liked that. The grounds were beautiful and live all the pool areas. The taco trunk was amazing and the smaller restaurant at the upper pool had wonderful food. Manuel, the lobby bartender makes the best Margarita ever! Ricardo was a big help planning the best excursion. Although it is not located on the beach, there is a hotel shuttle that will take you right there. The beach location has chairs, umbrellas and a wonderful restaurant. Suzanna was there to tend to our every need. The hotel is stretched out on a mountain side. There was a lot of walking up hill but there is walking downhill too. We got used to it quickly. You feel like you’re in the jungle! We highly recommend this resort!

We recently stayed at Delta for 5 nights (March 2025) just two of us for an annual "do-nothing" vacation. The resort seemed to check all the boxes of being quiet and away from the city life. Overall the stay was a success and we will definitely consider returning for future relaxation. Descriptions of each aspect of the stay below for specific reviews: Location - 4 out of 5 The location is quite remote about a 30 minute drive from PV. It is located down a very hidden road and behind a manned security gate. Landscaping and outside upkeep was well done with many plants and flowers surrounding the property. The buildings are indeed spread out and up or down hills, but it's nice to walk around the trees and enjoy nature. Most walks are easy and at maximum is about 1/4 of a mile long. Golf carts are almost always readily available to take you from the lobby up to either residential towers or the restaurant if you don't prefer to walk. Whoever designed the place did an amazing job with layout of the pools and wherever you are feeling like you are in a jungle amongst the trees. We even saw several coati and iguana on the property! Staff - 5 out of 5 This is the shining gem of the resort, the people! Everyone we met was always friendly and willing to help. From the food staff to the bartenders, to the amazing entertainment team we could not expect any more. We got to know many of them on a first name basis and felt like we were leaving friends on our way out. The entertainment team of Carlos, Alfredo, Jose, and Omar were so much fun and kept us dancing and laughing every day. Thank you to Manuel at the lobby bar for introducing me to iced coffee with baileys, and the bartender at the Xaman bar (sorry I didn't catch your name) who helped me enjoy Mezcal for the first time with his signature green tomato drink! Food and Drink - 3 out of 5 There are only two true restaurants on the property, one buffet and one Japanese. This is the most disappointing area of the stay as buffet, while well appointed and daily change, does get old after several days. It would be nice to have at least one other choice of standard fare available. I will say that the Mexican hot chocolate at the buffet was delicioso! We do not prefer the Japanese hibachi style of restaurant so we did not eat there. The 24-hr pantry is lightly stocked but most items there were not great and pretty much included only ice cream, coffee, and cereal. The taco/ceviche truck at the natural pool was good however had limited hours. The half moon pool had a light food menu, but the items were not great. Besides the food, the drinks were very good. All of the bartenders were wonderful with their creations and were always checking to ensure you had what you wanted. Rooms - 4 out of 5 We started with a room in tower 4 which was a bit of a mess. The A/C was super loud, some disrepair on the walls and balcony were present, but worst was no hot water in the shower. We reported this issue to the front desk several times on the phone and in person over 2 days with no actual resolution. We spoke with the property manager on day 3 who helped swap us with a room in tower 6 which was MUCH better with hot water a plenty! The new room was very nice with quiet A/C and well appointed. Pools and Activities - 4 out of 5 As I mentioned previously, the entertainment team was amazing. I do believe there could be more activities scheduled however to include use within the fitness center or outdoor exercise in the garden. The pools were all well laid out with none of them being overly busy. We especially liked the half moon pool which always seemed pretty quiet. The towel system is a bit strange requiring them to be signed out with a card, but wasn't a huge deal. To get to the beach you need to reserve your spot on a small bus from the resort which is a bit tedious if you plan to do it multiple times. However when you get to the beach it's nice and fairly quiet with covered chairs, food, and a bar.

We stayed 3 nights at the Delta. The grounds are gorgeous and in a quiet, tranquil setting. Our room was fantastic, and my only concern about the room was that the water in the shower did not stay a regulated temperature, with it becoming so hot at one point, it was painful. As an adult, that was no issue as I could just step out and fix it, but I imagine it could have hurt a little kid. The fish tacos at the bar/restaurant on floor 5 of building 5 were FANTASTIC. We also enjoyed most of the food (although we were a bit disappointed by the Japanese hibachi restaurant experience) - there were a few dishes that were AMAZING and the fresh fruit was plentiful. The only cons: 1) none of the hot tubs were actually... hot. They were all "warm" to varying degrees but none were actually HOT. 2) there was a lot of deferred maintenance in the public spaces. I'm not sure the locking mechanisms worked on any of the bathroom stalls I used, and a couple of times, there was no soap in the dispensers. We did not go to the beach at all during our time there because we had 4 nights at a beach-front place planned when we left this spot. All in all, I would stay there again because I'm not particularly picky about such things - but I would have a hard time recommending it to others who may be more finicky than I am.
