This is definitely not 5 stars hotel BELIEVE ME - the beach is super dirty, not well maintained at all, physically extremely hard to go inside water - the system of having reserved sun beds for specific rooms, makes it impossible to chill around the pool and the garden around it !!!! - super expensive all extras ( than a real 5 starts hotel) … really not worthy !!!!!!! No restaurant is tasty ( accept Cretan - was acceptable) but super super costly !! - rooms are clean - we were super bored as a couple … DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY !!!!!

Everything about this resort is superb, friendly, great food and Spa - particularly Antonia and Vera the therapists. The real downside is that is littered with kids and if you’re a couple that just wants a quiet time. Maybe this isn’t the place. Sometimes it felt the 4 year olds...

Everything about this resort is superb, friendly, great food and Spa - particularly Antonia and Vera the therapists. The real downside is that is littered with kids and if you’re a couple that just wants a quiet time. Maybe this isn’t the place. Sometimes it felt the 4 year olds were really the ones in charge of everything, they wouldn’t give my ball back😄. Other wise it all really is first class.

This is a beautiful property with a lovely private beach and amazing food choices. The grounds are impeccable and the service is outstanding, however it felt overrun with children under 5. The amount of noise generated by toddlers and small babies in what is a relatively small resort made the week feel more stressful than being in the office. I could not enjoy a single breakfast without children running around the restaurant or screaming. The noise level was unbearable and difficult to tolerate. I would 100% return if this property was adults only or for families with older children. So, unless you are comfortable with being around hundreds of infants I would book elsewhere.

The guests are almost exclusively made of parents with young children / babies (say 85%+ of guests). This means the place is constantly filled with push chairs, children running around, babies crying in restaurants, at the swimming pool, at the beach or even in the (small) gym. This is not...

The guests are almost exclusively made of parents with young children / babies (say 85%+ of guests). This means the place is constantly filled with push chairs, children running around, babies crying in restaurants, at the swimming pool, at the beach or even in the (small) gym. This is not what we expected (probably our mistake, others have mentioned it). Other than that, the hotel is absolutely stunning: the design is gorgeous, it has several swimming pools, manicured gardens, direct access to the beach, large yoga patios, great breakfast. But as a couple without kids, the atmosphere did not work for us. It felt like taking holidays in a nursery.

Firstly the hotel is just stunning, with amazing facilities/views and an aura that makes you feel at one with nature. Highly recommend doing the Kitchen Garden experience, picking fresh produce and making fresh bread/pastries in Mouries with Chef Dimitri and Mrs Panagiota - can't forget the amazing meal prepared for...

Firstly the hotel is just stunning, with amazing facilities/views and an aura that makes you feel at one with nature. Highly recommend doing the Kitchen Garden experience, picking fresh produce and making fresh bread/pastries in Mouries with Chef Dimitri and Mrs Panagiota - can't forget the amazing meal prepared for us after. Our welcome drink was refreshing with top customer service from all members of staff. Highly recommend.

We have been visiting Malia for 30yrs. We have stayed at this Hotel a few times but this time we decided to stay at a small local family run hotel instead. We thought we’d call into Cretan Malia park for a drink & maybe decide to book there for next year. It was about 8.30pm, the place seemed almost empty, there was one other couple in the bar area & absolutely NO atmosphere at all. The bar staff didn’t acknowledge us, we sat at the bar, 1 of the bar staff eventually came over, asked what we wanted to drink & asked how we were paying, my husband said Card or Cash whichever they would rather, barman said ‘either’ so we said Card. ‘What kind of card?’ barman said. My husband took his Mastercard out of his wallet & showed him. He came back 3 times asking ‘what kind of card are you paying with?’ I went to sit down & hubby said he’d bring the drinks over. They never appeared, barman had a drink at the bar himself then walked out of the area! After a while he reappeared but still no drinks - so we got up & left! So sad that this hotel has changed so much! Staff had no interaction with the customer whatsoever! No welcome & chatting amongst themselves whilst ignoring us! Seemed only interested in how we intended paying! Really disappointing this used to be our favourite hotel but it seems to have lost its charm. It’s an expensive place to stay & we are really glad we checked it out before booking there again. We won’t be back. 😢😢
