We came here for 5 nights to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday and it was incredible. First and foremost, the staff is outstanding! Every single person was so helpful and accommodating (be sure you bring cash for tips!) I truly feel this place is so wonderful because there is such a dedicated staff. We were traveling with two other couples, including one couple with two kids, so we chose this place for its high ratings in regards to activities and childcare for kids. I really loved that this resort was kid-friendly without being kid-centric. The room was gorgeous and way more spacious that it looked in photos; we had a ground floor jungle view room (Casa 2) and it was great. We didn't do the Ceiba option and I think it turned out fine. I was worried about it being crowded based on other reviews, but we didn't find it crowded at all. Breakfast could get busy after 10am, but there was never a line to get in (maybe one or two couples in front of us, but everything moved quickly) and we were able to get cabanas every day, no problem. It helped to be an early riser (we usually had breakfast by 8am, in the pool by 9am) and most mornings I had the pool all to myself for an hour or two before other people showed up - a dream! We also didn't add breakfast when we got our room, which gave us flexibility (some mornings we just wanted a coffee and a pastry from the cafe, which was much cheaper, although the buffet is huge and delicious). If you go you must go to the Spa, which was exquisite. At first I raised my eyebrows at ~ $250USD for a 50 minute massage, but the real experience is the Spa itself: tranquil, plunge pools, saunas, areas for lounging, and heated tiled loungers that were so blissful I fell asleep for a bit. With the restaurants, we made reservations at Kengai and Maratea a month out (since we were 6 adults and 2 kids, my hack was to make 2 Open Table reservations for 4, and then the concierge helped us get a table for 8 instead). It was good to know that Chiringuitos is lunch only, so we tried not to eat at Ultra Mar for lunch if we were also gonna be there for dinner. There was also a pop up tacos al pastor event two nights, so that gave some menu variety. Overall this place was a dream and we'll certainly be back! My biggest advice: bring cash for tips! There were so many extraordinary staff, from the golf cart drivers to servers to housekeeping to babysitters and everyone in between, and a tip goes a long way. There's an ATM at the hotel (US and MX), so you can get cash on site. Can't wait to return!

Sadly do not recommend.. No running water. Empty pools. Empty fountains. Save yourself…

Warning. This property is in complete shambles and should lose the Hilton and Conrad franchise. Took 3 rooms to get running water. My recent stay at the Conrad Tulum in Mexico’s Riviera Maya was a letdown that felt eerily post-apocalyptic, marred by a property in terrible shape and plagued by failed maintenance. On a positive note, the staff did their best to salvage the experience. Yessica, in particular, was incredible—her attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel cared for in a way that almost justified a 5-star rating. She alone is the heartbeat of this place, keeping it from complete collapse. Daniella, the Cebu club manager, also stepped up when we arrived to a messy situation. We had to switch rooms multiple times due to no running water, but Daniella secured us a suite. Though it, too, lacked water at first, her team fixed it within an hour, and the rest of our stay was at least in a functional room. Beyond the staff, though, the Conrad Tulum was a shadow of what it should be. The lack of water was pervasive and unsettling—every pool had such low levels that the infinity-edge designs, a big selling point, were reduced to shallow, stagnant disappointments. Showers by the pool and beach? Not a drop. One day at the Cebu club lounge, the toilets wouldn’t flush, and I was handed a dirty bucket of water to pour over my hands—a grim, almost dystopian moment. The entire property felt like it was crumbling, a decade past its prime, with broken water features and a pervasive sense of neglect. It was as if we’d stumbled into an abandoned resort after some unseen disaster, far from the polished luxury promised by the Conrad name and Hilton standards. Sadly, I can’t recommend this place. Yessica and Daniella were rays of light in a bleak experience, but they can’t overcome a property that feels post-apocalyptic in its disrepair. The failed maintenance and lack of water everywhere dragged what could have been a paradise into something far less—disappointing and unworthy of its brand. The spa was the only good thing about this property and it was incredible. Stay at the Mayakoba properties, fairmont is far superior.

We absolutely love this hotel! You can tell the people there really enjoy being there and taking care of guests. The restaurants are so good you can stay on property ( which we did ) for 4/5 days. The Spa is a must try ! We are diamonds Hilton members and travel alot and this is one of our absolute favorites! Special shout out to our pool server and margarita master Carlos - we look for him and sit at his section because he is the best! Also, don’t miss Chaak bar! Ask for Alejandro when you go- he is very knowledgeable and makes excellent cocktails based on whatever you like! He is one of the best! He is also a Texans fan ( unfortunately) but he’s so amazing we will let that one slide! If you are considering staying here , do it!

Great hospitality. Had Valentine’s Day arts and crafts. I struggled a lot with my masterpiece but they were very helpful! Also made cookies along with paintings. Friendly staff that just wanted to make your experience as best as it could be. With staff Shamara, Ivette, Ruth, Bree and Rocio!

A great resort experience, warm service, great beach, and chill vibes. I spent 5 nights at the resort for my partner's 40th birthday. It was truly a hassle free relax vacation. Perhaps the most outstanding aspect was the staff. From Mauricio in Arbolea making sure my lattes kept coming at breakfast, Rafael describing every detail of our food at Autor, Yesenia in Ultra-Mar finding us baked chips for our ceviche, the unknown heroes who decorated our room with a happy 40 sign, the coffee shop crowd feeding us sweets. They all made us feel quite pampered. The resort itself is stunning architecturally. The pool has clean lines to the ocean and the entrance is majestic. There's a distinct sense of calm everywhere you walk. Of the things that could have been better: the gym is functional but not great; the food, while very good, was never spectacular (except for breakfast, that was amazing); the hot water heater at the rooms wasn't that great; and jacuzzis could have e been warmer. Everything else was top notch! I. Summary, I'd love to come back here.
