We loved every aspect of the hotel except the wifi in our room. Everywhere else in the hotel it was fine. The staff was friendly, helpful, fun, informed and very responsive. The design of the hotel is exceptional…every detail executed and maintained perfectly and of the highest quality materials. The breakfast is everything and more one could ever want, but there is a buzzing/hum sound ever present that had my musician ears wishing for relief…I think it might be an exhaust system from the open yet spectacular kitchen. Our room and bed were spotless and comfortable and beautifully designed. I would stay in this hotel any chance I could. Oh, there was a beautiful fire to sit beside in the cocktail lounge, which was heavenly after cold winter days of touring…I wish the music had less pulsing beat and a bit of softness.

Loved this hotel! The reception personnel was really awesome. We arrived early in the morning and we could check in the room immediately. Very clean and beautiful room, if you stay at Berlin, this is absolutely a very good choice. Close (walking distance) to the station, Unter der Linden, Brandenburger...

Loved this hotel! The reception personnel was really awesome. We arrived early in the morning and we could check in the room immediately. Very clean and beautiful room, if you stay at Berlin, this is absolutely a very good choice. Close (walking distance) to the station, Unter der Linden, Brandenburger Tor etc. Breakfast is not cheap (35 euro's) but it is very good and has a nice seating. We also had lunch what was also very good! (For cheaper/quick breakfast you can go around the corner (across station Friedrichstrasse) at Flamingo, a very nice breakfast/lunchroom where we also had breakfast.) The reception offered us also a late checkout, we didn't ask, they suggested it by themselves. The Hotel offers also a very cosy bar for a late drink, it has a nice vibe. Loved it!

This was our first long trip away since Covid....March 2020...my husband put a trip through Germany to get away with severe stresses of our life....unfortunately our stay at Chateau Royal was not what was expected. ..high end which we wanted and could easily afford which did not deliver....wi fi was beyond useless...I needed to keep in contact with my Mum and my Son through very very personal reasons...not delivered....I relyed on local bars and restaurants....the problem was highlighted and ignored....when we checked out was blanked.... Other problems....do i need to find a 24 inch TV behind curtains.....air con rubbish ...we were really looking forward to a roof top bar...went up there twice on separate nights and a queue of local people 10 people deep to order a drink....no facilities for residents to book a table even for an hour. ..I am absolutely aghast with the probs we had...and we were being asked to pay 4 drinks and breakfast we never had on check in ....wouldn't even have entered the bar/restaurant ...far better rooms at a lower star in Munich...Nuremberg. and now in Hamburg...apologies to rant however this spoilt our trip....Berlin we will come again....the whole of Germany you have made our Covid....thank you x

A great locationand potential, let down by all the basics of service. Had high expectations of this hotel which we booked as part of our trip through Germany. Despite being the highest cost per night, sadly the only good parts were the location and quality of the bed We had to complain that our room wasn't cleaned on the first day and when it was the following day, all our toiletries were rearranged. The coffee in the room was difficult to use drip bags, and when instant coffee was requested a complicated expresso machine that could not fill a mug was delivered instead. No milk or whitner was provided. The WiFi connected only for seconds at a time and of no use for leisure activies, let alone business use. The roof top bar was over crowed with locals and totally unusable by guests. The staff ignored eye contact or any form of guest engagement, prefering to talk to each other or use their phones. What I was hoping to be the most enjoyable part of the stay and putting the experience behind us, checking out, even proved frustrating. Apparently, none of my previous concerns had been noted and the expectation that I should repeat my concerns, despite one of the staff members being present when I originally raised them all. They then proceeded to try and charge me for breakfast and drinks that I had not had. Overall and extremely disappointing stay and one I will never repeat at this hotel or any other one linked to it
