Still loving Carimar. We stayed three weeks from Feb to March with friends. The place is always completely full but does not feel that way. The beach chairs are assigned so there is no competition for beach chairs. The water is a giant swimming pool and the sand is like sugar. The units are huge and comfortable. We are not fussy and like to cook in our fully equipped kitchen and dining room because the GST Tax is so high for restaurants that you cannot afford to go out all the time. That's why we like Carimar as opposed to a hotel room.

Just got home after 18 days stay in this amazing resort .This was our 6th stay at this resort and will definitely not be out last.This is a fantastic place to stay.The apartment had everything you need.The staff were always there to help with anything.Carimar always exceeds our expectations every visit is better than the last one.The grounds are beautiful and well maintain.The ladies in the office Cindy Hermia Lavernes thanks for everything.You ladies really made our visit special.Can’t wait to see you guys again. Fantastic place to stay. The apartment had everything you could need. It was great to have sun beds reserved for you on the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the cocktail party held by the managers was a lovely opportunity to meet your fellow guests.

We stayed at Carimar for the first part of our stay in Anguilla to celebrate my 40th Birthday. We booked a Beach Front room and ended up in one of the upper units, the view is absolutely beautiful. You are just steps away from the water! They also put your name on your beach chairs during the duration of your stay which I really loved so you didn't have to worry about getting a spot. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the kitchen is well stocked with about anything you may need during your stay. There is a Best Buy, which is a grocery store, right around the corner so you can stock up on groceries. Meads Bay is a beautiful beach and Carimar is a great location! It is close to several restaurant options. Rolf and Lockhart, the manager and assistant manager were both wonderful and accommodating. If you are thinking about visiting Anguilla, do it! The people are truly amazing and the beaches are beautiful!

With oceanfront rooms just 20 steps away from the calm turquoise waters, Carimar offers an immersive experience unlike any other resort on Anguilla. If you need a resort with a bar, a pool, entertainment, plus, you don’t want to lift a finger to do anything on vacation, then Carimar Beach Club is not for you. However, if you seek the most affordable prices for wonderful accommodations and close access to the beautiful Meads Bay, then Carimar is your destination. The front desk ladies will be happy to assist with anything you need, whether it’s making a dinner reservation, getting a car rental, ordering pastries for the next morning’s breakfast, scheduling a taxi, stocking your room with groceries prior to your arrival, reserving a fairy at the boat terminal, having an airport pickup/drop-off, and so much more. Just ask, and they will be happy to help you! This year’s 12-night vacation was just what my wife and I needed! When we stay at Carimar we never want our summer vacation to end! When you first arrive on the grounds of Carimar; it is a tropical paradise. The nice ladies in the office Cindy Williams, Avon, Hermia, and both Lavernes are eager to greet and help you with any questions or concerns. Both my wife and I have glaucoma and our medications had to be refrigerated before our room was ready: No problem. The one bedroom, second floor condo was very clean, spacious and had a great view of the grounds & Meads Bay. Room service is provided everyday and we had beach chairs with our names on them. Our condo had a full kitchen, living room and dining room with master bedroom/balcony. I have asthma, and am highly allergic to tobacco smoke. This is why I chose Carimar's SMOKE FREE PROPERTY over the condo-plex called Turtles Nest. Turtles nest allows guests to smoke on the balcony; it is only a matter of time before that condo becomes a smoking condo--short trip from the balcony to the main rooms. I did encounter one middle-aged lady and her daughter who were visiting from Germany who smoked. After 5 to 6 cigarettes, I could not take it anymore and I asked her to stop; she did. This was the only negative aspect of Carimar. The Carimar has a cocktail party on Thursday nights; nice , friendly get together/meet greet. Gives you a chance to see people from all over the world and different walks of life. Carimar is also very close to different restaurants on the island. Nice Time On The Island

We have stayed at Carimar before, but the last time was 8 years ago. Upon return, we discovered many delightful upgrades. The rooms were in perfect condition and up to date. A/C worked perfectly. Kitchen/bathrooms well equipped. We easily rented a car through Carimar's concierge. Another plus, we enjoyed making use of snorkel equipment, kayaks and paddle boards. Chairs and umbrella set up and reserved for us during our stay. Laundry room was good. Housekeeping excellent. If we found anything to critique during this visit, it would be the most minor of nitpicks. Well done, Carimar.

As soon as we arrived at Carimar Beach Resort we knew we had made the right choice in accommodations. The grounds and spacious unit met and exceeded our expectations. The pictures we saw on the internet when choosing this resort were very accurate. The unit comes equipped with EVERYTHING! The kitchen includes coffee, creamer and spices. Just add your own groceries. The local grocery store is a quick 15 minute walk. The air conditioning was powerful and quiet. Our king bed was very comfortable. The water view from our unit was somewhat obscured but we loved the privacy of our balcony. Housekeeping took good care of us daily and the front desk arranged a car rental for us. Meads Bay is lovely and having our own chairs and umbrellas was a great extra. We would definitely return to Anguilla and The Carimar Beach Resort again.

Fabulous place. We stayed with another couple in a two bedroom unit. Great accommodations - I love the front deck and lounge chairs to read (or nap) during those few moments when it rained. Otherwise, we had spectacular sunshine 99% of the time and were just feet from Mead’s Bay Beach (my favorite on the island). Walked straight into the clear blue waters every day, enjoyed sunset every night and an easy beach or road walk to some of the nicest restaurants on the island (Straw Hat, Ocean Echo, Jacala). Blanchard’s Beach Shack is another gem 100 yards away for those lunches or dinners when you just want a Mahi Bowl or Fish Tacos and a Red Strupe in your bathing suit and t-shirt. The Carimar GM (Rolf) even through a nice catered cocktail party for all the guests one night. Friendly staff - a great vacation spot. I would definitely return to Carimar!

I've had Carimar on my bucket list for a long time and we finally got to visit last week. Check in and check out were fantastic. The room was very spacious and clean. I pre-ordered some groceries that were in the room when we arrived. We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean front room which was an amazing view. The water here is just perfect. They offer pool noodles or floats for the ocean. We made it to the managers cocktail party on our first night and met some amazing people who seem to be regulars at Carimar. The staff are all very friendly and extremely accommodating as are the Anguillan people. Everyone we encountered from the island were friendly. Carimar was at capacity but felt like there were only a few guests. The beach chairs were mostly empty. The best part is that your name is reserving beach chairs right in front of your room so no getting up early to fight for a good spot. Snorkeling was kind of a waste of time. There were a couple schools of fish near the rocks, but that was about it. Not much to see under water here. We had a bad experience at Blanchard's Shack on our first visit so we ended up walking further down the road for lunches and bought drinks at the grocery store for the beach. It took my husband 45 minutes to get one frozen cocktail, so we didn't go back. Straw Hat and Sharky's (grilled lobster) were our favorite dinners and Straw Hat had a good breakfast too. I suggest going to Four Seasons sunset lounge to watch the sunset. We also had dinner one night at Cip's at Cap Juluca. I suggest going to at least one of their restaurants as the grounds were amazing.

Carimar is absolutely amazing in every way. We had read the glowing reviews and hoped the reality would live up to them, but it was even better, if that’s possible:) The resort itself is physically spotless and beautiful…. updated and modern without losing any of the “old Caribbean” feel. If you want glitz and marble, and the sense you could be in any city, this isn’t your style. The beach is perhaps the most beautiful in all our Caribbean travels We chose a beachfront unit, which had incredible views and access, and I would do the same all over again. The 2 BR, 2bath unit was very spacious. The ladies in the front office, particularly Laverne Pemberton but including every one of them, can take care of any arrangements, reservations or questions without skipping a beat. Although there is no restaurant on site, Blanchards ( both the formal restaurant and the beach bar) are next door and many are a short ride away. In our 8 day stay we made several friends and kept meeting guests who have been coming for many years. We put in a request for next year before we even left.
