This is undoubtedly a five star resort. We had a wonderful time and every want and need were accommodated immediately.
My only suggestion for improvement are the restaurants. I have had limited exposure to Peruvian food and prefer French or American cuisine. The guests at Cap seem to be predominately from the US. I would be willing to bet this style of food at Pimms and Ochu is the preference of a very small minority of guests. Fortunately the wonderful team at Cap made impeccable arrangements for dinner elsewhere all within a five minute drive
Evan our butler was so helpful and deserves a huge acknowledgement. Always timely with friendly reminders and advice. We love Cap Jaluca!!

We visited Cap Juluca at the end of February for a four-night stay, and from start to finish, the experience was seamless and exceptional.
Arrival & Transportation:
After confirming our reservation, the concierge promptly reached out to assist with transportation from SXM Airport to the resort. They provided multiple options, including private, semi-private, and public ferries from SXM to the Anguilla ferry terminal, followed by a transfer to the hotel via taxi or a house car. Thanks to their careful coordination, our journey was smooth and stress-free.
Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Eleonore, the General Manager, who took the time to personally greet us and ensure we had the best possible experience. As we checked in, we were offered refreshments and informed of a complimentary room upgrade—a wonderful surprise!
Accommodation:
Our upgraded king-size room with a balcony was spacious and beautifully appointed, featuring a comfortable bed, a desk, a cozy couch, a bar area, a TV, a separate foyer, and a walk-in closet. The bathroom was luxurious, with dual sinks, a standing shower, a bathtub, and a private toilet room. The highlight was our large balcony, complete with two tanning beds and a dining table, perfect for in-room dining with a view.
Service & Hospitality:
The staff at Cap Juluca went above and beyond in every interaction. Whether we were exploring the property or heading to lunch or dinner, we were greeted warmly by every team member, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The management team assigned us a personal concierge, Claudia, who was an absolute star. Incredibly responsive and proactive, her answer to every request was a cheerful, "Yes, of course, I can make it happen." She seamlessly handled taxi bookings, dinner reservations (both on and off the property), special requests, and more, ensuring that every moment of our stay was effortless and enjoyable. Both Eleonore and Claudia regularly checked in with us, reinforcing the resort’s commitment to personalized service.
Dining:
Every day, we lunched at the Cap Shack, indulging in the fresh daily catch (mahi-mahi, snapper, tuna) and a delicious local lobster roll. For dinner, we went to Cip’s by Cipriani (Italian) and Uchu (Peruvian)—both fantastic, though Uchu was our favorite. Off-property, we visited Sharky’s and Veya, with Veya being a highlight for off-property dining.
Final Thoughts:
From the impeccable service to the stunning beaches, Cap Juluca exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend this property for a romantic getaway and are already looking forward to returning next year. From now on, Belmond has our heart.

My wife and I recently spent a wonderful week at Cap Juluca. We have been to many places in the Caribbean, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places we have ever stayed.
The beachfront accommodations are beautiful, up-to-date, with our rooms well-maintained by Ramona and her associates, and with additional special touches as expected at a luxury resort of this caliber.
The beach itself is outstanding, with powdery white sand, sparkling clear water without seaweed or any trash, and with reserved loungers and umbrellas for guests so there is no rush to stake out a spot on the beach. The staff taking care of us on the beach were particularly friendly and fun, with cool drinks, sorbet, and cool towels routinely offered. Also noted and appreciated was the fact that the hotel does not allow visiting boats to anchor along the beach all along the shore by the accommodations, and enforces a strict policy that they cannot play music or make any loud noise when stopping in the harbor area, something that many resorts never consider or enforce.
The restaurants are all top notch as well. Standouts for us were dinner at Cip’s with Raechel (?), and the multi room wide selection of fresh foods at the morning buffet. Never a bad meal all week with PImms, Uchu, and the Cap Shack all distinctly great, with relaxing ambiance and great service.
The spa was also excellent. Treatments were exactly what we requested and provided by obviously professional well trained therapists. Facilities were beautiful and well maintained. We also used the fitness center which has up to date top of the line equipment well maintained.
We also enjoyed having bikes available all around the property for everyone, making it fun and easy to get around.
We would like to specifically mention our personal concierge Deandre. He was always available and helpful, with prompt responses and flexibility regarding any of our requests. His off property restaurant recommendations were perfect as well. Having a personal concierge is just one more great perk of staying at Cap Juluca.
We also had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know assistant manager Chris, who is relatively new to the hotel. He exhibited his enthusiasm for interacting with guests to see how anything could be improved to enhance our experience. We ran into him a few times walking around the property checking quality and engaging in friendly conversation.
We were often asked what we liked best about the place. Our answer was always the people who worked there, invariably friendly and welcoming with authentic positive attitudes to us, all the guests, and their coworkers.
In summary, our impression of Cap Juluca was that of a friendly, relaxing, high class luxury oasis. By high class I mean the overall feeling we got from people who care about what they do and understand the beauty of the spirit that permeates this resort. Belmond never disappoints, and management should be very proud of their staff who help make this place so special. It’s no surprise that so many people come back here year after year.

We just did a seven night stay here, completing a total trip to Anguilla of 17 nights. This was our third stay at Cap Juluca, this time in a Premium beachfront king (#1106). We love the views from the balcony, and on the beach. Since access to the new spa facilities is included we enjoyed the hot and cold plunge pools--also with great views.
The included breakfast at Cips is very good with many options changed daily. (It can get very busy after 9am.)
The 6pm sabering is a nice event---they now do it with real champagne! Napoleon would be proud!
CJ's location on the West End provides easy access to most of our favorite restaurants for both lunch and dinner.
Since our last stay the rates have increased dramatically here...especially during the busy season. Hopefully they continue to think of ways to improve their offering vis-a-vis the competition.

Nicely appointed room. Moroccan-styled black tiles, carved wood four poster beds, plantation shutters, super large lanai, spacious restroom area. Awesome views over the bay and beach.
Be sure you get a room in building 10 or less. Anything past 10 and there’s a good chance you may never get to use the beach set up and umbrella that’s assigned to your room due to the wind. Can’t blame the property for the wind, but it gets very windy and the farther around the bay you are located, the windier it is. They won’t put up the umbrellas if it’s too windy. Each unit is assigned a beach set up so if it’s too windy, you’re kind of out of luck. We had to beg to get a beach set up in another area of the property each day.
Once in the beach, the attendants are very responsive, bringing tea, drinks, meals, and even sorbets a refreshments.
We ate lunch in property, usually at The Cap Shack - Way at The end of the beach and in the wind flume. The deep fried chicken sandwich is the best. We had lunch at Uchu twice. Also pleasant, with less wind as it’s in the main building. But for evening meals, we recommend going off campus to some of the many good eateries on the island. We ate once at Cip’s on property and were underwhelmed.
There are bicycles to ride around the property, and they’ll fetch you in golf carts if you call. Seems some rooms might have golf carts assigned to them. We didn’t have that. We rented our own car and used it to move around the property and to go out to dinner. Parking is easy on property. No restrictions.

Huge props, especially to the management team, who are very dedicated with making sure guests are extremely happy at all times. They go above and beyond and treat each guest like they’re the only ones staying at the hotel. I watched many interactions with other guests during our 3 day stay, and it is a rare thing to see service of this caliber. The best trip my husband and I have had in so long. Thank you so much again, Cap Juluca.

The old adage of you get what you pay for certainly rings true. Though the price is high, the amenities, gorgeous beach, staff to guest ratio, & spacious villas are outstanding. We are so happy that we chose Cap Juluca for our winter getaway. Having visited many islands, this is by far the most outstanding beach property. The property is laid out nicely & you never feel jammed in.
Some of the things we loved were the dedicated beach chairs, dedicated beach attendants,
& spacing of the chairs. We felt like we had our own beach even though the property was almost at capacity. We also loved having a dedicated villa host to assist us during our stay. We had Maury & he kept things running smoothly. The spa is absolutely gorgeous & just is a beacon of relaxation. It was also a nice touch to have the ability to have a couple of items pressed each day at no additional cost. As good as we pack you can't seem to avoid wrinkles.
We encountered so many kind & genuinely helpful staff during our stay. Each one of them helped to make our stay special in their own way. As mentioned our villa host kept things running smoothly and was just a WhatsApp message away. Joe Flo & Rene at the beach are rockstars. Gene & Kemal at the front are a wealth of information & are super helpful. The team @ Uchu especially Shemara, Shakira, & Tiandra were helpful & kind. Our breakfast attendant Kesharna was sweet that she had our coffee order down & practically had it ready for us when we got to our table. Behind every great staff are great leaders. All of the leadership team we encountered during our visit, (Anthony, Chris, & Eleonore seemed genuinely interested in getting to know us & to make sure everything was perfect.
As good as Cap Juluca is, there are some areas that could use improvement. Though the pool is nice, it is not large enough. A resort of this price & size should have larger & more pool options available. The layout & flow of the breakfast buffet could use some tweaking. It always felt a bit congested. The flag system at the beach isn't efficient. The beach team should be set up on WhatsApp like the villa hosts. Also, I think it would be helpful to have access to a dedicated golf cart. We've stayed at other properties of similar size that had them & it was a nice touch.
If you are looking for a relaxing beach getaway this is the spot. It truly is paradise!
