Great & memorable experience!
By far the best resort in Huatulco, Mexico! Food, staff and accommodations are awesome. Beach is beautiful & private. We had the most romantic catered Valentines dinner ever on the beach. Their staff went above & beyond. We will definitely be back!
What a beautiful hotel! Staff is truly amazing and the beach is quiet and hidden away from the huge resorts that dominate this bay. Our room was on the beach. We enjoyed amazing views day after day, and complete privacy. Three restaurants have been reduced to two in recent years...

Three restaurants have been reduced to two in recent years and you’ll find no big evening shows or parties here at night (unless you make your own). Many folks know the staff by name and return year after year. Short and long stays available.

It was so great to return to beautiful Camino Real this would be our 15th trip! A long waited return after the pandemic, we had heard and read about a lot of major renovations and yes ‘ much has been done. On arrival we were met by the lovely Yazmin who had our request for our normal room, we really like the new reception area, although if you have a larger party arrive , it would seem very small..
On arrival at our room, we were disappointed to find our bar fridge had not been stocked, especially when you have travelled all day and paying for our upgraded room! However a quick call to reception and lovely Yazmin came straight to have a look and took care of the sun beds and beach towels as they were not in place for our arrival. Big thanks Julian! We could see a fresh cost of paint in our room , and newer patio chairs nice touch, bathroom still needs to be upgraded., but hey we always had hot water and very clean!
The breakfast area is now where Chez Binn is, we preferred our breakfast by the ocean in the mornings, although we understand why you have now made it a lunch time restaurant. Wonderful to see lovely Juanita is a credit to the hotel , along with Antonia, funny Reynaldo and the beach staff Juan always with a smile, Luis who served our drinks along with amazing Avelina , all work so hard, Sandra at the beach restaurant who played Luis Miguel instead of Christmas songs! At times the music was too loud , we hope the hotel does not keep doing this as a unique hotel you have incredible ocean views and many return like ourselves to hear the ocean. At Chez Binn , Juvenal served us our evening meals with excellent service , we understand the hotel has a new chief, who is excellent!! We really missed the meals at the Ocean front restaurant, it was extremely disappointing it was closed we should have been advised by Westjet and not on arrival, wife wouldn’t have brought so have dresses and shoes for a romantic dinner. The hotel should consider re opening for Canadian guests and to be included in the package and nit private parties, having only one reservation for an evening meal is limited.
Big thanks to Ivan , Cristo for our evening drinks, two captains Hemin and Elizabeth who always took care of all our needs. Thank you!
The gym is now closer to the pool area, which looks pretty amazing although we did not use it, many others did. Well done on an excellent renovation.
We do feel you should have had another restaurant in your renovation plans for evening meals . A suggestion for next time. The house keeping could be done earlier, requested our room to be done in the mornings, but when it was cleaned everything was very good and all the staff work so hard.
We had a lovely holiday , we relaxed enjoyed the morning sunrises, walks on the beach after dinner, looking forward to returning again December 2024!
Big thanks to all the wonderful staff, that makes our vacation each year.
Each and everyone of you are a credit to the hotel. Well done!! And if we didn’t mention all your names, you know who you are and we appreciate all your kind service and attention . Thank you everyone!

Beautiful but food/drinks expensive

PROS
The pool and beach areas are amazing, spectacular view of the ocean.
The rooms were great, a bit dated but large and clean, with a small fridge. They brought as much bottled water as needed.
The breakfast were very good (see CONS for negatives). Our server, Juanita was fantastic.
In general, the staff at the resort are very nice.
CONS
All the food and drinks are very expensive at this resort (85 pesos for a beer and 175 pesos for a cocktail). As comparison to say Quinta Bella, they are 25 to 50% more. For convenience, we ate breakfast at the resort (400-700 pesos per couple). We had one supper, but it was not very good (we were served frozen/raw salmon. They really pushed, the buffet but it was far too expensive for what you got $400-500 pesos per person.
SUMMARY
Lot a great things about the resort, but probably wouldn’t come back unless the food/drinks were lower.

Poor service regarding email requests
Have attempted 3 times to get a response from hotel regarding requests. There has been no response. Poor customer service, one would expect a response to simple request and questions. Hotel needs to fix this poor service moving forward to justify the cost of staying.

Solid service from a clearly long established hotel . All staff extremely helpful and friendly . We are on a road trip around SW Mexico ( from Scotland ) . Delighted to have booked here for the night. Room 80 was great . Dinner lovely in the restaurant , beautifully presented and high quality . We would stay longer were it not for shortage of time . Wedding taking place , lovely to watch and not a disturbance at all as it was small wedding . .. beach stunning.. note the pool, despite being big , is not deep as clearly a kids one .. .. Very glad we stumbled upon here .. a lovely experience overall
