If anyone is traveling to Florence, Italy we highly recommend staying at the Brunelleschi hotel We recently had a four night stay in February and it was more than our expectations were. The staff, the restaurants, the food the service…. All beat our expectations. Elegance, grace, friendliness and charm. Helping us with every question. At the front desk, Paulus, Antonella and Cosimo were like old friends making sure we were completely at home while visiting Florence. And Brenda in the lounge area was completely up on American film so we could discuss the upcoming Academy Awards! We can’t wait to return to Florence and the Brunelleschi Hotel this winter! Our best the staff and our new friends. Sincerely, Daniel Forrester David Josef

This hotel is a true gem and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there on a future visit to Florence. I principally chose it for its convenient location in terms of being able to walk to all the sites I was keen to visit during our week long visit - it certainly scored on that account. The huge bonus was that everything else about the hotel was excellent - our room was perfect and very quiet, all the staff were really pleasant and keen to make our stay exceptional, breakfast was lovely and oh-so-fresh and our restaurant meal delicious. It made our memories of Florence extra special.

My husband and I travel frequently and experience many hotels. The Brunelleschi in Florence was one of the best we have stayed in. The staff were fabulous- reception, room cleaning and breakfast staff were all attentive to detail which made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. Little touches, such as fruit and juice being available at reception while we waited for our room to be available (after a long journey) were much appreciated and set the tone for the rest of our experience. Our room, whilst small was well equipped with everything we could possibly need and the nice hot shower in such an old building was much appreciated. Congratulations to all the staff for giving us such a positive experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this historical hotel for 6 days from Boxing Day to New Year’s Day. It is the oldest remaining Roman era building in Florence and the tower is actually on a Roman bath. The modern interior with a transparent staircase was completely beyond imagination with the humble exterior. We were warmly received by Paulus at the reception who had a great sense of humour. We were able to see the historical Roman bath and small museum in the basement the day before we left and felt very special to stay at such an historical building. We could walk everywhere due to its central location. The room was classic with a small walk-in wardrobe and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic and we were well looked after by Eligia who managed to feed us even though we had only 15 minutes one morning before an early morning tour to Siena. A very special hotel. We loved it and will come back if we are in Florence again.

The Brunelleschi Hotel is one of the most wonderful hotels that we have stayed with. Our suite was fabulous (The Duomo Suite), and the concierge team is the absolute best. They were very helpful with working with us to try new things - a wine tour, a cooking class - both were amazing! We had a foodie tour of Florence with Vanessa (she is so much fun and knowledgeable) - I would recommend her. Our concierge team made wonderful dinner reservations for us at amazing restaurants. Setting up drivers and taxis to get us to several excursions. They were constantly making sure that we were having a wonderful time in their beautiful city. Our room was most comfortable, and the breakfast was super yummy. We love this hotel and this team of professionals so much that we came back a second time is a year. They are the best!!!

After visiting Florence last year a return trip was always going to happen and a second stay in this amazing hotel was something we didn't have to think twice about. Again we were upgraded to a room overlooking the Via dei Calzaiuoli and as returning guests, gifted a bottle of prosecco on ice accompanied by a lovely note from the general manager. We'd intended to go straight out to the Mercato Centrale for lunch - we did make it, slightly later than planned and it took me a little longer to get a grip of my map but totally worth it, that prosecco was lovely! Our room was clean, comfortable, everything we expected. Bottles of water are replenished daily and housekeeping is of a high standard. Breakfast is the most generous offering of any hotel I've ever stayed in - continental, hot foods, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, fresh juices, omelette and whatnots as an optional paid extra should you feel the need - we did not, the existing selection is more than enough. The hotel's location - about two minutes from the Duomo - is perfect, and the jewel in the crown of the Brunelleschi is it's staff. I cannot emphasise enough how professional, friendly, competent and above all, approachable the team members are. You are greeted every time you pass reception and it is delightful to recognise people there from your previous visit. Paulus last year helped us with a travel related problem and we really appreciated his efforts, seeing him again on reception this year was a genuine pleasure. Thank you, everyone. Florence - too much to see and do, and eat, but give it a go. Work out what you want to see and do, plan your time, you probably won't do it all but what you will see will change you. You'll need a holiday to get over this holiday and have stuff on the to-do list for next time. As compact as the city is, there really is a wealth of art and beauty and history waiting for you. I'm already planning our return trip for my next big birthday.

We had a 3 night stay & wish it could have been longer. This hotel has got it all in a very central location, with a short stroll to all the main sites. From the moment our booking was made staff helped plan this surprise break, responding to every query & request quickly, with a friendly professional email. I can’t single out any one member of staff as everyone was amazing. We were met at the airport by a hotel car & had a pleasant & smooth journey to the hotel. On arrival at the hotel we received a warm & friendly welcome & were taken to our room with different areas of the hotel pointed out on the way. We were shown into our upgraded room, which was a nice surprise. It had everything we needed, plenty of storage, tea & coffee making facilities, a large tv, a very comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom with huge shower, toiletries, robes & slippers. The room was very comfortable & quiet with a view out onto the Calezuoli shopping street below. Housekeeping each day was of a high standard & anything used was replaced as required, including water. There was a turndown service each evening & coming back into the beautifully lit room, with classical music playing, slippers & chocolate beside the bed was a treat. Breakfast was perfect, set in a lovely room with attentive staff & a fresh and plentiful selection, everything anyone could want. We ate in the Osteria Pagliazza one evening & this treat really should not be missed. We had the tasting menu & it was wonderful, along with excellent service from a lovely team, we didn’t want the evening to end. This hotel is a gem with an interesting history, don’t miss a visit to the basement to explore the hotel museum. A truly wonderful team of people run this fabulous hotel & as others have said it is worthy of 5 stars.
