Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff throughout the hotel, almost beyond compare. We arrived late in the evening and requested a restaurant recommendation from the concierge. Rather than simply providing directions, to be sure we could be seated, he escorted us to a restaurant in the neighborhood that was open and serving. Service! This level of service in a hotel of this history, beauty, and location made our visit to London, a real treat. We will return.

A delicious afternoon tea , really attentive and great service. A slight hiccup that my wife’s birthday was forgotten but was more than made up for by two lovely glasses of champagne and even more cake to take home with us. Looking forward to the next visit

We’ve been coming to Browns for the last five years, and this last stay was our twelfth, and our best. Browns has always been excellent but we noticed an even greater focus on attention to detail, and those small, significant touches, which elevate a stay from good to great. (Stands for the hand written notes in the rooms; bespoke Browns crockery for the tea/coffee in the room; profound literary quotations around the hotel etc) As ever, the rooms are tastefully furnished and very comfortable but it’s the staff which make the stay unforgettable. They simply are world class. We were celebrating a recent promotion, and staff shared in the delight of our special stay. It’s all very sincere and human. When we returned from a meal outside of the hotel, the doorman greeted us with ‘welcome home, gentlemen’. Browns is a home away from home, and we wont even consider staying elsewhere when in London. World class!

Best boutique hotel in London
Favorite hotel in London for both business and vacation. Central area, but quiet at the same time. Great service and staff, Givi in particular is very kind and takes care of every single detail to make you feel home. Beautiful rooms and great tea experience in the afternoon.
We had a really lovely room, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. We enjoyed the personal attention from the staff and felt very welcomed. I only gave four circles as my vegetarian lunch was disappointing, but my vegetarian breakfast was delicious.

This was my second stay at Brown’s, and once again, it did not disappoint. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly—"no" is simply not in their vocabulary. Unfortunately, I fractured my ankle on my first day in London. The concierge was incredibly helpful, recommending a treatment facility and even calling Princess Grace Hospital to ensure I could be seen promptly. Additionally, they thoughtfully assigned us a room near the elevator to minimize the number of steps I had to take. Despite my injury, I still thoroughly enjoyed London—it may have just slowed my pace a bit! I love staying at a small hotel where the staff knows your name and remembers your preferences. Brown’s remains my top choice in London!

The service of the employees was extremely good and the bed was comfortable, but for what it costs the building leave something to be desired. I would stay elsewhere ,next time, that is more up to date and more reasonable with the cost of food and drink. Location is excellent.
They treat you like family. Everyone was accommodating to our needs. We love Donovan Bar! Rooms were elegant but very functional. Recommend making it to breakfast. Hotel is centrally located and easy walking distance to all the sites in London.

I can't make up my mind about what I like most at Brown's Hotel but the staff is definitely up there as a top contender. You don't notice them until you do, like at breakfast as you are looking around the table for something to scoop up your eggs with and a whole tray of fresh Croissants and other goodies is already being paraded your way. Drinks at Donovan's are perfect, concocted by Italian mixologists. Dinner at Charlie's is a civilized affair, casually elegant. I had a great massage at the small but solid spa. We stayed in the Sir Paul Smith suite and the decoration is impeccable, homey, and a bit over the top in the right way. Great understated service, the concierge will get you a table anywhere. I avoid the drawing room as it is packed with Afternoon Tea people from early afternoon until late but that's just not my thing. Everything else about this hotel I love. It's indeed pricey, but it really delivers on all accounts.

A exceptional hotel with first class service. Nestled between Green Park and Bond St this charming hotel is a city hideaway. Once you have been welcomed into the premises by the ever charming front of house team you feel like you are back home. We have only had the opportunity to stay a couple of times, the previous being some years ago. But the excellent service, attitude and quality of this hotel continue as tradition dictates. Sumptuous rooms, peaceful delicious breakfast, friendly atmosphere and stunning meals in Charlie’s restaurant. Visiting over the bank holiday weekend, the city was busy, but Browns was a restful haven. We particularly enjoyed the Sunday jazz evening which gave the restaurant a real chilled vibe at the end of the weekend. Thanks to everyone for a lovely weekend.

Carefully listening to their clients always helping and guiding to create a one of a kind experience which is all I ever try to build. Charlies Restaurant has amazing food, Dover sole is excellent. Donovans Bar is a great spot for a after dinner drinks and snack. The drawing room has live piano most days, Afternoon tea is a popular event and The Drawing room has excellent service for this need. Lastly the staff overheard we were going to the Chelsea V Liverpool match in Chelsea. Late that evening when we arrived home we found a Chelsea FC hat and scarf for the event, beyond thoughtful!

We loved our afternoon tea. Letter and Maria were excellent, would highly recommend! Great assortment of sandwiches and sweets, as well as excellent tea in a traditional British setting. 10/10, a must do when visiting London, charming area as well.

My wife and I recently returned from a 4 night stay at Brown's Hotel. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was. We were asked at check-in if we could wait a few minutes so they could upgrade our room. We were quickly upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Suite that was the nicest room we've ever stayed in (including in other 5 star hotels). I could have stayed in the room reading the library of books on the shelves in the suite's living room but we had to be out exploring London from Brown's Hotel's perfect location (a relatively quiet street in Mayfair a very short walk to London's best shopping, theatres, palaces, parks...) Every time we returned to the Hotel, we were greeted as though we were returning home. We had a great breakfast every morning at Charlie's that is a beautiful space that seems very popular for dinner well into the evening and had wine and cocktails in the Hotel Bar that Churchill had frequented back in the day. Highly recommended!

By far, the best experience we have ever had in a hotel - and we have stayed and paid a lot for other hotels around the world. The hotel itself is outstanding, beautiful and a careful blend of classic tradition and modern touches. This hotel is ready for the next generation. The service from the team was amazing. Each and every person looked after us and made us very very welcome. It felt like being at home. We stayed for our anniversary and the team could not have done anymore for us. They have made our weekend celebrations totally memorable and we are very grateful to each and every person. If you are considering staying in London then stop searching and stay with Brown's. Surely this is the pinnacle. Thank you Brown's, we look forward to our next Rocco Forte stay, around the world.

We really enjoyed the ambiance, and the food was excellent. The staff was exceptionally friendly and offered great recommendations. Akshay is a true tea connoisseur and guided us throughout the experience, while Simone was always attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.

We are fortunate to have enjoyed afternoon tea in many of London's 5 star hotels, Browns is simply the best. They are all good, but often you feel you're rushed (most hotels of this type seem operate on a 2 hour rotation, and while I understand the need to maximise profitability, at this point point it feels wrong), additionally some of the food is a bit lacking/too traditional. The Drawing Room is stylish without being pretentious; the service is absolutely perfect (friendly, efficient, but not overly officious), and the food spot on (from classic sandwiches to beautiful cakes). There was no pressure to get us to finish, and we were offered refills of the sandwiches and tea at numerous stages. It was a birthday celebration and while most hotels provide a special cookie or similar, Browns had a small "Victoria sponge" with candle and the pianist played "Happy Birthday" (again 110% right for the hotel/occasion). (One small thought, they have a plant based menu, can we have a savoury afternoon tea as well please).
