Still waiting for deposit refund 2 weeks later!
Nice hotel, but I’m still waiting for my deposit refund. Card company says the hotel has not released the funds correctly, hotel doing nothing. I’m out of pocket by CAD100 and have to wait for it to naturally expire a month later which is not acceptable.
Fab stay at the Brewster’s

We loved our stay in Banff and Brewster’s Mountain Lodge did not disappoint. A quaint, mountain themed hotel with a great sized room. The location was excellent - right in the heart of Banff with lots of restaurants and shops all around. We had a room on the front, the only downside was when we were there over a weekend it was a bit noisy late at night with people going home. Not the hotels fault at all and to be expected in the centre of town. Loved the free cookies on reception and the staff were all lovely.

The hotel has onsite parking which was convenient and very reasonably priced.
We were upgraded at check in to ‘The Boss’ suite which was a really big spacious room. The bathroom was very modern and it had a roll top bath which was great!
Staff at the hotel were all really polite and helpful, they gave us information on buses, trips, hikes etc.
Would definitely stay again if we came back to Banff town!

Very central hotel to all amenities, staff very friendly and booked the gondola for us. The room we got was at the back which was not good for a light sleeper like me as the bin lorries came very early in the morning, although my wife slept through it all. The room and decor throughout had a rustic feel which we liked and the rooms well cleaned! Breakfast was continental not your usual fare but nonetheless served a purpose although there are loads of restaurants nearby if you want better. We would return again but I would definitely look a room change!

A great hotel to stay at banff. centrally located in side street off the main banff ave, rooms are great, very clean. Excellent amenities provided and breakfast very good every day included in price. Can highly recommend. Staff very helpful

Our experience here was very good. We did not like the first room where the bed was in a loft and the front desk was able to get us into a garden room. It worked out great for us and we highly recommend the interior garden room. Breakfast is not good and we skipped it. There are lots of restaurants in the area so we ate at one of them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and everything was clean and satisfactory.

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Pine furniture and stairs add to the charm. Breakfast room provided a good variety of foods and beverages but crossing the underground parking to reach it was very peculiar. Well placed for the town centre.
Excellent accommodation. The Boss’s suite is particularly spacious and nice. Location is excellent and they have parking (though we don’t use it!) Breakfast is continental and average but complimentary.
Pricey but that’s all of Banff! Very friendly staff. 24/7 reception.
Overpriced for what you get

This hotel was chosen by our agent as part of a package. Our previous hotel had been Sutton Place in Vancouver and to say there is no comparison is a massive understatement.
It did have some plus points though not many.
The location was excellent, right in the centre
The staff were helpful (apart from on check-in)
The fresh daily cookies were delicious
The bed was very comfortable
There were more minus points however.
No air conditioning and being in the centre of town meant the windows could not really be left open. We did have a fan which helped somewhat
The furniture was dated and too bulky for a not very large room
The room was rather dingy
No fridge
The room was poorly located next to the lift. There were some very inconsiderate guests having loud conversations at all times (though this is not the hotel's fault)
The toiletries were of poor quality and the towels were thin. One even had a large hole in it
The safe was in a very unusual position - you had to stand on a chair to reach it unless you were over 6 feet tall
The breakfast items were poor quality, though they were well stocked at all times
We do not know what the agent paid for the original 3 nights we were booked for but because of the wildfires in Jasper we had to stay another night which we had to pay ourselves. We were charged £350 for the extra night and the room was certainly not worth that. We did not even get a change of bed linen for that amount!!
I would recommend looking elsewhere if you are staying in Banff.

This hotel has no air conditioning in room and because it is in the downtown Banff area having windows open means too much noise at night for sleeping. Staff friendly, room tidy with a unique wooden furniture style. Shower and toilet room facilities very dated and free continental breakfast offering is very limited and served in an unappealing basement area. The hotel was booked months in advance and still cost around $700 (US) a night and we don’t know how they justify that price compared with e.g. the Sutton, and Hyatt in Vancouver.

Breakfast continental and adequate choice of cereals, Toast , Bagels fruit and pastries enough to keep you going through until lunch .
Rooms are a little dark ,and tired but are clean and the bed comfortably, plugs in weird places , shower really powerful. Rooms are not made up until late in the afternoon when we was there it was about 5pm after we had been out for the day and wanted to relax this needs to be a priority earlier in the day ! Parking for the night is roughly $18 a night but the hotel is very central for all the amenities in Banff .

After reading a lot of reviews, we were quite concerned about the noise in the room. Upon arrival, the person at the desk, went out of his way to find us an interior room which was very quiet. It even had a balcony for which he did not charge extra since it did not have a mountain view. They brought in a fridge, microwave oven and extension cords upon request. It is very conveniently located in the center of activity with access to restaurants. Parking was tight, but, necessary, for additional charge.

The location of this cute little lodge like structure cannot be beat! It is in the center of town and conveniently located near so many cute shops, restaurants, and the Roam buses that are integral to getting to major points of interest. I also want to note that the service - especially from Rory, Jack, and Lachlan - was exceptional. Everyone was super kind and helpful. The hotel also has a complimentary breakfast which helped us fuel up before heading out to Johnston Canyon or to the nearby Bow River for a paddle. The room itself was cute, clean, and simple. If you want fancy, there are other options - but this one was more than comfortable for us and the real beauty was right outside.

We had four great nights in Banff, staying at the quirky Brewsters Mountain Lodge. The hotel is right in the heart of town, close to lots of great restaurants and shops. So it is a good base for the town. The room was fine, comfortable and well equipped but a bit dated. Breakfast with a small daily changing hot selection was provided in a small dining area next to the basement car park, but was tasty enough. Front desk staff were helpful. There are laundry facilities on site, but if you want a service wash (wash and fold) try the nearby Cascade coin laundry.

Although the hotel enjoys a very central location right in the heart of downtown Banff, there were a few niggles which you wouldn't expect when spending nearly £390 GBP (around $680 CAD) a night on this kind of hotel.
The reception team were very helpful and greeted us warmly. The hotel benefits from parking which is underground, and can be difficut to find so make sure you book that in advance.
The main reason we picked this hotel was that it included breakfast, something which is very rare in North American hotels I find. I can see why they do this, as it felt somewhat of a gimmick. The breakfast room, called The Nook, is basically a room with no windows in the underground carpark. It's also access via the underground car park so not terribly appealing. You also have to clear your own tables...like a some kind of school canteen style environment!
The breakfast offering itself is very basic as others have commented. There was some pastries, one flavour of yogurt, some dried up orange slices, cucumber, tomato, breads, cereals and 2 hot items a day which didn't always belong together. Others have commented on the position of the two toasters in the room, which are tucked in a corner amongst everything else which is far from ideal and caused bottle necks most mornings.
The bit we found most disappointing about our stay was the room and the housekeeping service. As we say, this not a cheap hotel by any means. Therefore, the bathroom could really have done with a full update and overhaul. It was very 70's in style, tired and dated. We also found the towels were worn and sometimes didn't look the cleanest. The rooms also do not have a fridge, this caused us a big issues trying to keep some medication we needed to be cool. We had to resort to ice buckets being changed constantly.
The rooms have a kettle for making hot drinks, but no plug socket near by that's long enough to use without having the ketting left on the floor, not the best from a safety perspective.
The wardrobe was basically a hanging rail by the door, that was it. There is a iron which was helpful.
Most disappointing was the attention to detail by the house keepers. We found they turned up very late each day, and forgot to replace basics like coffee stirrers, which of course you only notice when it's too late! They do not make your bed.... when I'm paying this much for a hotel room, I'd kind of like my bed made as even budget brands do this!
The amount of laminated signs around the hotel giving various instructions was also a little off putting and tacky... not needed.
Overall, I would not return as I didn't think it was good value, and I would not recommend.

Centrally located in Banff so very convenient for all the shops and restaurants. We had a spacious loft suite. A large accommodation space with the bed in a loft space above the sitting room. The stairs to the bed was quite steep and there was nowhere to place clothes by the bed. Apart from that the room was more than adequate. Breakfast was included in the room price. A rather basic continental style breakfast which was adequate for our needs. Would certainly recommend this hotel as being centrally located.
