My husband and I stayed at the gorgeous Bellevue Syrene in late October 2024. Our stay surpassed our wildest expectations. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, built right into the side the Sorrento’s Mediterranean cliffs. The view across the Gulf of Naples to Mt. Vesuvius is unsurpassed - staying here feels like you’re living in a dream. The food, service, and ambience were all perfection. We can’t thank the staff more for making our time in Sorrento so welcoming and memorable.

The old world Grand Tour experience came alive during the 2024 Holiday Season for us at the Bellevue, which was wrapped with small gestures of kindness by staff — from the welcome appero to the gift of domus olive oil after an offhand comment from my partner to the spectacular ‘Room with a View’ of Vesuvius — tied up in a bow by Claudio, who provided a personal tour of the seaside grotto, then a guided discussion of the objets d’art nestled in the nooks of this 1820’s gem, while we chatted beside a roaring fire in the sitting room conservatory. Sorrento itself is an absolutely postcard perfect beauty on the Mediterranean. The charming flourish was an electric vehicle transfer to our Amalfi - bound vessel from the carbon footprint-plastics conscious property. Ciao!

My wife and I visited this lovely hotel at the end of October and we couldn't have been happier. Check in was swift. Staff was very friendly and most accommodating. Our view from our room was spectacular. I'm not 100% what the hotel capacity was, however it didn't appear super busy and would have been nice if we could have been upgraded, but not going to quibble too much. Our bed was very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and good sized. The artwork on property is wonderful and the common areas are warm and inviting. Morning breakfast was lovely and the piano during breakfast was soothing. The hotel was within walking distance to everything...quick and easy. I will definitely consider Bellevue Syrene for our next stay to Sorrento.

From the moment we arrived everything was spectacular. Everyone was so attentive and helpful, the hotel is stunning, service was top notch and not sure there is a better location anywhere. We would return in a second and have recommended to many.

This was our third visit. The magnificent views are the same. Beautiful building perched on a cliff with fashionably decorated interiors & rooms are the same. But while prices have doubled since Covid pandemic the quality of service & facilities have declined. The breakfast buffet offers less choices ( mostly cakes & bread), the lounge offerings have gone down from lovely choices to go with Prosecco to sliced melon & cupcakes?! Except for few reliable “old timers” most of the staff are new , still in learning mode. Perhaps it is due to ownership/management changing to the new generation in the family which has resulted in 2 managers being changed in 2 years- so far?

Amazing place, I found this restaurant on tiktok and I must say it definitely lives up to the hype. The view is incredible and beautiful but the service and food is exquisite. Really attentive professional staff we got a lovely anniversary cake which was lovely. There was also a piano player playing redemptions of modern songs was lovely. They catered for gluten free and dairy free and couldn't fault anything about the food was delicious. Not to mention how beautifully decorated the hotel and restaurant is 10/10 recommend worth the spending in my opinion if you are looking for luxury.

My wife and I have stayed at the Bellevue Syrene since the year 2000 and did so again in June 2024 as well as in September. We were as delighted as ever with everything about this wonderful hotel. We were not surprised to learn that it has been awarded two Michelin stars for Hospitality. The staff have always been both warm and professional and admirably complement the tasteful luxury of the fascinating variety in the hotel's decorative appointments. Our room's balcony afforded magnificent views across the Bay of Naples to Mount Vesuvius and our room was 'made up' as many as four times in a single day. Most recently, on our departure - and as we had a late flight - a room was made available to us at no extra cost so that we could rest before travelling - my wife and I are 75 and 81 respectively so this courtesy was particularly welcome. We are already keenly anticipating returning again in June 2025 and regard the Bellevue, quite literally, as our 'second home'.

We had the most beautiful suite that was the highlight of our vacation. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning hotel in a prime location in Sorrento. Walking distance to all the main areas of Sorrento and very close to the lifts which will take you down to the ferry terminal for day trips. Our room was lovely- clean and simple with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean....

Our room was lovely- clean and simple with a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. Breakfast each day was served on the terrace with ocean views and a pianist! A magical place to stay.

One constructive suggestion for management is to add an alternative, casual, dining option for the evenings.

This hotel was amazing, our room was beautiful, and our stay was perfect. The staff was so friendly and they really went above and beyond! The amenities (especially breakfast and the all day snacks) were excellent. I wish I could live at the Syrene!

An absolute dream of a hotel, staff so incredibly helpful and friendly, stunning location, immaculately maintained, wonderful rooms, amazing breakfast, small but good gym, a gorgeous collection of objects and art, terraces that make you never want to move. Cannot recommend the place more

From the moment you enter the Courtyard on the way to Reception, it’s evident you are someplace very special. The hotel’s location is cliff side, with incredible views of the Sea. Francesco and Rosa were standout hotel staff. They were genuinely warm, attentive and friendly, as were all of the hotel’s staff we interacted with. The sometime whimsical and always impeccable decor makes for many great photos. The guest Lounge provides tasty snacks and beverages throughout the day. Conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Breakfast on the Terrace is something to look forward to every morning! 10/10

Saw loads of reviews of this place and put it on our list to visit! We stopped for just a drink, the cocktails were delicious and looked lovely, they cost around €20 each which we thought was a fair considering the service, snacks and the view. The views were stunning, and the hotel pool is just below the drinks balcony. Lovely staff and great snacks came with the drinks. We stopped around 3pm with no reservation and were sat down right away, lovely spot.

We have just returned from 11 nights at the Bellevue Syrene and it is favourite place on Earth.We have now been there 23 times. The Hotel is stunning but it is the staff who are outstanding.They are so friendly and helpful and we look forward to returning next year.

My husband and I just spent 5 incredible nights at this one-of-a-kind beautiful hotel. The decor and art, perfection. From the breathtaking views, incredible service and helpful staff, we say run, don’t walk to this oasis. Definitely the best location in all of Sorrento.

The hotel Bellevue Syrene is gorgeous! A jewel on the edge of a cliff in Sorrento with all the amenities that make it a true 5 star hotel hiding in plain sight!. We came for our 30th anniversary and stayed 5 nights. It just wasn’t enough! We would have stayed another week. From the views to the service to the outstanding location proximal to everything important in Sorrento, LOOK NO FURTHER …….if you are lucky enough to find availability …..grab it! If ever in Sorrento again, we would come back to the Bellevue Syrene. Special acknowledgment to Francesco, concierge and front desk person extraordinaire…..he made our stay memorable and was ALWAYS absolutely helpful. Knowledgeable. Professional. And considerate.
