This was our 7th trip to the Maldives, and Baglioni Maldives has become our favorite resort due to its exceptional balance in all aspects. This was our 7th trip to the Maldives, and Baglioni Maldives has become our favorite resort due to its exceptional balance in all aspects. The island itself is breathtakingly beautiful, with pristine beaches and well-maintained surroundings. Every corner of the resort showcases stunning natural beauty, making it a true paradise. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. We were especially impressed by the warm hospitality at the Italian and Japanese restaurants, where the staff paid close attention to every detail, ensuring a memorable dining experience. The house reef is vibrant and healthy, teeming with marine life. We were lucky to spot plenty of fish, sea turtles, and even majestic stingrays while snorkeling. A special thanks to Chingiz, who took care of all our arrangements perfectly, always ensuring our needs were met. Lastly, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Baglioni Maldives for making our stay so incredible. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was incredible!! The resort was gorgeous, the overwater bungalow with a pool was incredible, and the staff were exceptional. Every single staff member made a point to ensure we were accommodated and went out of their way to do so. Want to particularly thank several wonderful staff members we got to know across the week (not limited to this list!) - Zahaa was a wonderful concierge who made sure our honeymoon and stay went smoothly, she was proactive and addressed every question we had. - Zaif delivered our room service breakfast every morning on time with a smile. His attention to detail while assembling our breakfast setup was a perfect start to the morning. - Zia cleaned our room and somehow managed to time it perfectly each day, while also adding his own personal touch with kind messages and towel art! - Preet made the best Pina coladas for my husband every day. - Praful gave us our own personalized cocktail making class and now we know how to make our new favorite cocktail. - Yudi, Ananya and Sahadet greeted us with a smile at the bar each evening and made sure we were taken care of - Falaa and Kahley created an amazing dinner on the beach at Fuego - and finally Naseem made sure we safely and successfully navigated the Male Airport and waited in each line with us until we were through security. In a sea of people, we were the only travelers with our own personal escort. And thank you to the entire team!!

I am beyond upset. I planned an anniversary trip to Maldives with my wife. Talked to their agent and inquired about over water villas and 2 beds in the room. "No problem" I received an email that the 2 beds had been requested, over-water villa reserved, and I proceeded to pay a deposit and the seaplane fee. I later made an interim payment as well. To be sure all was in order i emailed the Concierge to be sure the 2 beds would be available as I requested. I was informed by the concierge that they don't do 2 beds, only a double bed., (what hotel on earth does a double bed anymore- queen yes, king yes but a double??!! Could they not put a second bed in the room for $$15,000 USD, a rollaway a couch that makes into a bed, a mattress flopped on the floor. This is a 5 star resort?????

My wife and are Palace Resort members and thought this would be a bucket list trip. It did not disappoint though not every experience was full five star none were less than four star. EVERY effort was made to make us comfortable and they succeeded!

We picked our honeymoon trip to Baglioni Resort which we both agreed it’s the best decision we have ever made. First the resort responses email inquiry promptly which addressed all my concerns before the trip begin. Seaplane arrangement was the main concern for me, Zaha, our host which quickly update us the seaplane schedule the night before we board. The way we get on seaplane from airport was smooth. Baglioni resort had their own high class shuttle and representative to pick us up which is a highlight as we saw other passenger to other resort which only take the public shuttle to the gate. During our stay Zaha responded all our requests speedy all the time, the service from restaurants and spa are very friendly. We checked in to the room villa with pool and the view is stunning, water is tiffany blue colour and so pretty that no words can be described (as I am a certified diver and dive in many places) which I can concluded Baglioni Resort has the most clearness of water. Zaha also help us get the honeymoon package with no extra cost which is the highlight of our trip! Special decoration in room, special honeymoon gift, a bottle of champagne served in room plus the special honeymoon dinner, nothing is missed and just perfect! Zaha also trying her best to arrange and book all the dinning places so we can try out all the restaurants during our stay. All the staffs in resort are very friendly and welcoming. House keeping twice a day (morning and evening) which we are happy that our room is always in a clean condition. We expect a lot for this trip and Baglioni made our stay out of expectation, definitely we would come again and highly recommend to our friends. The whole experience from start to finish at resort was fabulous the service the food was beyond 5 star Nothing was too much trouble for any staff member, we were give a personal service from Xaha from guest relations was amazing and attended to every request we made. We stayed in a water Villa with a pool very private with amazing sunsets views, everything in the villa was exceptional, housekeeping Zia made sure of that he was so happy every day and greeted us with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. I’m sure we will return to the island.

We spent 10days in an over water villa at this exclusive and fabulous resort. The Baglioni resort is the only hotel on the island and facilities, food and staff are wonderful. It is all inclusive and the wine choices and choice of restaurants was outstanding.

I have just returned from the most wonderful trip to Baglioni Maldives, and feel the need to write a review. From the moment you arrive into Male, Baglioni take complete care of you, meeting you from the international flight and transferring you and your luggage to the seaplane. You are met at the jetty by the hotel staff and introduced to your host, who takes care of your every need throughout the whole stay, with the use of WhastApp. The island itself is small and uncrowded, with just 85 villas. It was 70-75% full when we were there. The atmosphere is so relaxed and intimate, and staff get to know you and your needs/preferences very quickly. Service is friendly, attentive but never intrusive and people just can't do enough for you. We spent most of the stay in a beautiful beach villa, followed by 2 nights in a water villa. I can't honestly say which we preferred but both were spacious, luxurious and very well appointed. The views from both were to die for. Our favourite restaurant was Yama, the over-water Japanese but all of the restaurants served superb food, much of which you would classify as fine dining. Everything was delicious and very well-presented. The Indian chef at Taste was out of this world; being Londoners we know south Asian food well, and his was of the absolute highest standard. He is to be congratulated. We enjoyed a dolphin watching trip whilst there at sunset; it's a lovely excursion. We didn't take any snorkelling trips as the house reef is fantastic! I recommend snorkeling along the drop off by entering the water at the seaplane jetty. We were lucky enough to see a turtle, rays, moray eel, white and black tipped reef sharks and an absolute rainbow myriad of other fish and coral. It was so special. The beach and the ocean here are pristine, by the way. But what made the trip was the staff. Hats off to the resort manager - you certainly know how to hire the best people. Everyone was SO lovely, especially: Pauline (Pau), Elle, Margaret & Don in the Taste restaurant, Yarma in the Yama restaurant and Ismail and Praful in the Pool bar who served us with delicious premium drinks and cocktails every day. I must also mention the new guitarist who sang a huge repertoire like an angel. His music was so soothing and easy on the ear. But my final thanks have to be to our amazing host, Zaha. We loved her and would have gladly brought her home with us. She is beyond helpful, kind, super intelligent and hugely funny too. We laughed so much until we became sad to say goodbye to her at the end of our trip. Please keep hold of her Baglioni, so they we can see her again on our next trip. She is a shining star of an employee. All in all, hands down the best holiday we have ever experienced. Bagioni Maldives absolutely blew all of our expectations out of the water. It was perfect in every way. Thank you - we miss you already.

Had a fantastic time at Baglioni. From Landing at Male to leaving, everything was thought through and felt looked after all throughout our stay. Fantastic service! The staff, the food and the resort are top quality and would highly recommend.

Never have we experienced such breathtaking nature, enjoyed such exquisite food, or encountered such exceptional hospitality. We will never forget this holiday and truly hope to return one day. If it was possible to rate this beautiful place with 6 stars, I would do it!

As members of Palace Resorts, my husband and I had the opportunity to mark off several bucket list items—staying in a bungalow over the ocean and swimming in the wild with sharks. The Baglioni was absolutely amazing with unparalleled service. Imagine this: stepping out of a seaplane to be greeted by several employees including one who would be your personal butler for ten days. They placed handmade local flora necklaces over our heads then opened and held umbrellas for each of us while escorting us down the dock where we were serenaded by a band playing traditional music. Freshly cut coconuts with the hotel name burned into them served as our first cocktail. After a quick overview, they raised our umbrellas again and walked us to the breakfast buffet. This was the type of service we received for the next 10 days. For the first week, we were in an overwater bungalow so could open our sliding glass deck doors and step onto the stairs to swim in the warm, crystal clear water. For the last three days, we stayed in a beach villa where we watched sunrise from bed, showered in the rain in our private, enclosed bathroom, and walked a few meters on the white sand beach to the ocean replete with coral, fish, and sharks. When we weren't drinking copiously or eating exceptional food, we luxuriated in the beauty of the island. Over the magical days, I swam a total of a half marathon along the ~40-70' wall defining the atoll and Mike and I snorkeled and SCUBA'd together. Visibility was incredible allowing us to see over 50'. We saw two types of starfish, several Moray eels, lots of little crabs and some in-water crabs living in shells, large turtles, lion fish, stingrays, sea slugs, eagle rays (I saw 5 swimming together at one point), and loads of tropical fish (e.g. tangs, wrasses, clownfish playing in anemones). We also saw lots of black tip and white tip sharks. Most were in the 2.5' range, but we saw some closer to 7-8'. We didn't see the octopus living right off our beach or the pod of dolphins playing about a pool length's distance from our shore. My husband and I cannot recommend the Baglioni enough. _____________ The service was phenomenal! Examples of exemplary service included: —Supplying alternative hair conditioner when the type provided didn’t work for my hair —Sending chocolates to our room after I mentioned that I liked them —Letting us reschedule our dive experience because I was sick —Free medical assistance —Leaving me to sleep peacefully after finishing my massage —Scheduling a tour of the physical plant just because we were interested —Bringing me turmeric each morning just because they learned I liked it it in my lattes The employees at Baglioni Maldives were, without exception, perfect in very way. I felt their constant smiles and friendly demeanors were sincere and was consistently surprised and pleased with the level of service and care we received. Every employee was truly committed to ensure we had the absolute best experience possible while on Dhaalu and they regularly asked if there were even more they could do to assist us in any way. That said, some of these employees were particularly memorable to us. These include: —Ella, Margaret, and Pauline (Taste) came to know us quickly and were always so pleasant. They remembered our preferences and greeted us so warmly every time we entered the restaurant or saw them elsewhere on the property. They were sincerely concerned about our well-being, always wanting to ensure we were having an outstanding experience. —Widi was wonderful in the spa! She was so personable. —Raj and Ananya in the pool bar were so positive, always greeting us with smiles. Ananya made me feel so good when she sought me out and requested I bring her all my unique drinks requests. She said she loves to learn about new drinks and it made me feel special that I could provide her new options given my weird palate (and eagerness to try everything in my bar app). Her eagerness to improve her craft was evident. —Raiis in housekeeping was not our normal room attendant, but cared for us several days throughout our trip. We saw him often when walking along the path to our water villa and were always welcomed with a smile and question about whether we needed anything. —Zaha’s name is now synonymous with the word “amazing” for us. What an incredible woman with intense attention to detail! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, she was our fairy godmother and knight in shining armor rolled into one. —Mariana (the marine biologist) gave a well-prepared and fascinating presentation on reefs and the development of atolls. Plus, she was a great help by answering our many questions during snorkeling adventures. When we happened to see each other in the water at random times, she seemed eager to answer my onslaught of questions. I also really appreciate all she is doing to improve the health of Dhaalu’s reef. —Zaki was most excellent at creating a positive vibe on the island. He was so fun and sincerely interested in everyone. I loved that he took a personal interest in the guests, making us feel like members of the Baglioni family. He provided a great island tour and even joined me on a swim around the island so I could feel more comfortable than if I were swimming alone.

The Resort was like paradise. What made this trip truly special was the service and treatment we received from our guest relation officer Chingiz. He fulfilled all our wishes, was always easy-to-reach, very friendly and competent. I would also like to thank the cleaning team, who made an excellent job, especially Zia. Last but not least I want to mention the staff at the pool bar. The waiters and barkeepers were incredibly friendly. I was especially impressed by the way Naymur treated us. It was just extraordinary how attentive and friendly he was and by creating new creations of cocktails every day he made our trip even more special.

Water problems We went on vacation with my wife in January, but the month turned out to be very rainy—it was constantly pouring. All the day. We stayed in a Sunrise Water Villa, not far from the YAMO restaurant. During the rain, staying in a water villa was super uncomfortable compared to the land villas because there was no awning (!), so you couldn't even open the terrace door without the room getting completely soaked(!!). Even with the door closed, we had to put towels down to keep the water out. Light when I don’t need light The hotel is officially quite new, but honestly, it feels at least 10 years old due to poor maintenance. The plumbing is all no-name stuff, there are no blackout curtains, so when the sun is out, the room gets bright at 4–5 AM (photo added). Restaurants On rainy days, getting to the restaurants was a struggle (for a luxurious hotel)— some were partially closed, and the others had very limited seating. The bar and the restaurant near the beach and pool were always full since that was the only place to hang out. The hotel was also saving on everything—worn-out old ping-pong paddles, missing billiard balls, just total cost-cutting everywhere. Guests The guests were mostly Italians (since it's an Italian hotel chain), but honestly, not the sophisticated kind. I’d guess that most of them have never actually stayed at a Baglioni hotel in Italy, otherwise, their glowing reviews wouldn’t make sense. Bathroom issues This place is far from luxury as they mark themselves. There was just one bathroom for the entire beach area, pool, bar, and restaurant — one stall for men, one for women can you imagine that?. And that same bathroom doubled as a changing room. Which means that you can use only toilet to change your wear. Administration feedback The management seemed completely uninterested in guest issues — aside from our butler, no one even bothered to check in on us. Dining The buffet food was nothing special, just basic fuel to keep you going. There were a few decent dishes at the Italian restaurant and some great meat in the Asian restaurant, but they don’t even open for lunch. For lunch, the hotel’s main attraction was pizza—they made it okay, but honestly, I wanted more variety. Positive part The only really good thing about this place was the island itself—lots of great spots for swimming and snorkeling. But let’s be real, that’s nature’s work, not the hotel's. Conclustion Well, that’s why am I rating it so low even though there were some good moments? Because the reality didn’t match the expectations. I was expecting the same level of service and hospitality as Baglioni in Italy, but this was way more basic. It falls far behind other Maldivian resorts that offer all-inclusive, like Emerald, Kuda, Movenpick, and others. Definitely not worth the price. All that I can recall from this hotel — my two photos in this review.

We visited Baglioni Maldives March 14 through March 21. The island is beautiful in a natural setting with great beaches and short walk around island. I have broken down our review to capture arrival at Male airport, resort staff, restaurants/food/pool bar area, water sunset villa, resort grounds and overall. Male airport arrival/departure: Baglioni is on point and airport representative "Solle" was EXCELLENT. He was there to receive us both arrival/departure and places us at ease as he handled everything. The "Infinity" lounge at Male airport is clean/comfortable and an area to rest prior to water plane ride to island. Resort Staff: The staff at resort is what drives excellence at this location to make one's stay as pleasant as possible. There were many who provided excellent service but, here are a few who stood out. - Palace Resorts Member Services (Abby) professional, information and always willing to assist and ask how our stay was and if she could do anything. Resort Manager Marco should do more to meet/greet clients and would be a great touch for guest to meet/greet and speak with him. We saw him several times but, he never introduced himself or viewed him speaking engaging with resort guest. He as the leader of the resort should set example of what customer services looks like to everyone on his island team. - Ramy, Diamond Concierge was EXCELLENT and was always in contact with us live and via WhatsApp during our stay. - RJ Yama and Taste (lunch) manager was EXCELLENT and provided high level service. - Ali Taste Breakfast Manager, EXCELLENT and always checking in on tables to assure everyone was being taken care of. - Restaurant staff/servers who also provided excellent service were Vika, Margaret, Ella, Krishna and many others. - Pool Staff Appel and Randika lifeguard always willing to help and make us comfortable at a lounger with shade. - Pool Bar Area shoutouts to these bartenders who tried everything to provide great service which they did (Yuri, Preet, and others) Restaurants/Food: We loved all restaurants and ate at each minimal 2 times. Food is fresh, tasty and abundant. Pool Area/Bar: This area needs attention as loungers are not conducive to sitting and uncomfortable if not laying down. Definitely need to change pool loungers to allow sitting/laying comfortably. The pool bar stools also need to be changed as not comfortable to sit and no back to rest/relax as one spends time at bar. Water Sunset Villa: Rooms have beautiful views but, are looking used and not up to a luxurious standard. Floors need to be cleaned and resurfaced, bathroom vanity looking old, mats in room/bathroom should be replaced as Baglioni brand emblem is worn out and not visible, curtains have small pinholes, and need desperate attention. Resort Grounds: The resort grounds need immediate "Attention to Detail" as it appears there is no schedule to clean/maintain grounds to a luxurious standard. Such simple details definitely tells guest resort manager is not connected in "ALL" aspects of resort management responsibilities. - Pool area round grass area needs to be manicured and cut to look pristine - Planters are not cleaned of old dry plants/leaves. - Beaches are not pristine as should be - Bathrooms indeed need attention again, attention to details. Overall: Yes, some feedback statements above are negative but, overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider again for a future stay. If resort wants to meet the "Luxurious" level as it states "Attention to Detail" by resort manager will be immediately needed/required as this current state does not compare to the Leblanc resort brand of the Palace Company.

Had a great stay at Baglioni Maldives. Can’t rate the staff highly enough, always friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a super holiday. The property was spotless and well maintained. Only a couple of minor points that could be worked on; some of the a la carte restaurants are a little poor. Limonaia menu sounds good but execution was very poor and unrefined, Yama also looked exciting but delivery a bit uninspiring. We ended up using the buffet restaurant Taste more than the others and this also had the best bits of the others. The other point we found annoying was the upsell on arrival. Long travel time to get there and then met on arrival with them trying to sell attendance to Timeshare meetings! Chingiz always available to advise and book excursions and dinners. Also a final call out for Ali and Preet in Taste and Mirto bar - couldn’t do enough for us.

It was greatest tour Ever in Maldives. Everything was beyond expectations from arrival to departure it's was greatest experience. Food, service and staff were amazing hospitality at top notch.we would love to come back again and again in Maldives.

The entire experience was great and unforgettable. All the staffs there were so nice and responsive. They were eager to provide the best services and support to us even we did not yet raise our requests. And the international foods were also extraordinary.

Amazing hotel and food but the extra plus is the incredible yoga classes with Master Jitu. Even my husband that never done yoga before enjoyed it! You will leave the lesson with a feeling of peace and quiet which is perfect while on vacation. You will disconnect fully

First impressions when we arrived in the afternoon tired from a long flight from Seattle Washington, beach was beautiful, welcoming was excellent and food was exceptional. The coral reef was literally 20 meters from beach so snorkeling is a must.

From the moment we arrived at the dock and were greeted by the Baglioni staff, throughout our entire stay and up to the moment we were were wished a tearful arrivederci, our stay at Baglioni Maldives was a vacation that will forever leave an imprint, not only in our photo memories, our vacation memories or lifelong memories, but a sentiment of wonderment and love for a place and group of people that touched our hearts and souls. We arrived on a warm and beautiful Thursday morning after a long, and I mean LONG, journey to get to what we thought would be an amazing vacation. Were our preconceived notions exceeded? A thousand times over… The friendly staff met us at the end of the pier as we disembarked our sea plane to welcome us with a small gift and huge smiles and waves. We were greeted by name and escorted to the sand-floored lobby where we were checked in, given a refreshingly cool coconut water drink and given a brief tour of the island on the way to our stunning over water villa. Elisa and Gemma were informative and welcoming from the start and made us feel that paradise was all around us. The attention to detail and helpful, friendly manner in which Elisa made sure we had everything we could need was prevalent throughout our stay. She made sure that no detail was left out and was available for any need that may arise, at any time. We can’t fully express our gratitude for her assistance and care. There are others who also deserve full recognition for their contributions to our incredible stay. Praful, a kind and happy soul of a man, connected with us on the first day. As the bar manager, he was always tending to needs of staff and guests, but always found time to spend with us, allowing us to get to know him and looking forward to the daily encounters we had while relaxing and taking in the breathtaking view of the surrounding Indian Ocean. Primarily seen at the Pool Bar, Mirto and the lounges on the beach, his knowledge of drinks, with a penchant for whiskey, never let our drinks run dry. You have to try the signature Baglioni Mule… Dee-lish!!!! His generosity and pleasant demeanor were welcomed and deserve recognition. His riddles and puzzles kept my wife and I entertained and looking forward to more! Another person who went far above his job description is our new Maldivian brother, Niitu. We saw him every morning at breakfast (and dinners, too) at Taste and talked, laughed and learned about the local culture and the island culture, as well. He had us laughing and cracking up daily and got our days off to a prefect start. Yet another staff member who was a pleasure to talk to and get to know is Ali. He is a server in Taste and at La Limonaia, as well. His service is impeccable, as is everyone, and the personal connection we made is charming. We learned about him and his homeland, Kazakhstan, and our hearts were full while getting to know him during our stay. Ella, Ali (restaurant manager) and Barun (the international award winning chef!) all made our stay special. If you’re looking for a vacation membership that allows you to visit this glorious island, and other 5 star properties throughout Mexico, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Italy and England, then, meet with the Palace Resort representatives while there. Currently it is Jesse, Sofia and Kaiann. What a pleasure to talk to them! It is low pressure and you will be generously compensated for your 90 minutes. We’ve been members for over 8 years and it’s opened doors for us to amazing places at highly affordable prices, Baglioni Maldives included. It’s the only way we would be able to stay at a place of this caliber. We were celebrating our anniversary on this trip and one night we had a six course (I think it was six…) fine dining experience on the beach at sunset prepared by the head chef, Barun. They made accommodations for my wife’s menu and the meal was fantastic. When I say international award winning chef, it’s true. He’s got the hardware to show for it. As my wife says, it was *Chef’s Kiss* amazing!! We also ate at Yama, the Asian themed restaurant nestled between the villas halfway down the pier. Another night we had the Teppanyaki dinner and Mark, our chef, prepared an exquisite meal with personality and flair! Delicious and what a view!! Fuego, the beach BBQ is a must. The variety and quality of food is top notch. The dining options are endless and varied and a top level. The international breakfast buffet changes daily and never disappoints. If you don’t visit the spa while on your stay, you’re missing out! My wife and I had two couples massages. They were 90 minutes of bliss and pure relaxation. I had Widi for both of my Balinese massages and my wife had Winiana and another massage therapist, whose name escapes me, for her deep tissue massages. They were the best massages I have ever had and time stood still as we were lost in the 90 minutes of relaxation. The resort is incomparable to anything we have ever experienced. It is a slice of heaven on earth, plunked down in the middle of the crystal blue Indian Ocean. Snorkeling? Amazing. Just off the beach there are jettys that are home to dozens of types of tropical fish, crabs and corals that will take your breath away. The resort provides snorkeling gear (masks, fins and snorkels) for you to use for the duration of your stay. No need to pack those! If you’re lucky, as we were, the occasional sting ray or manta ray will make an appearance, always non threatening, beautiful and graceful. Also to be seen are the baby reef sharks by the supply jetty. No need for alarm, they’re harmless and sooooo cool to see and swim with. There’s other activities to partake in; paddle boats, paddle boarding, excursions… all which we planned to do, but never got around to it as we were enjoying the downtime of beaching and lounging too much to get away from and partake in the other options. The Villa? Well, be prepared to be blown away. We had a sunrise villa near the end of the pier. Spacious and beautiful, we were greeted with a note from the resort manager, Marcos, a chilled bottle of champagne, a box of chocolate delights and a fruit bowl. Nice touch, Baglioni, nice touch. All this was fantastic but the view from our deck was breathtaking. Just gorgeous. And to think we had that for the next 8 days. WOW!! The bathroom, with his and her sinks and the walk-in shower were great, supplied with Acqua di Parma soaps, conditioner, body wash and lotion, were another classy touch. No need to pack those, either. There’s also an endless supply of toothbrushes, vanity kits, sewing kits and other amenities if needed. The huge soaking tub is plenty big for two, as well. The early morning dips in the ocean, right down the steps from your deck of your villa were an incredible start to the days. A must do while the sun is rising! This trip, this place, is off-the-charts amazing!! We cannot recommend it more. Everyone is there to make your vacation special. They all do it. The staff seems genuinely happy. What we thought would be a once in a lifetime vacation, may very well be a vacation destination we visit again. If you have any thoughts or inklings about visiting Baglioni Maldives, or if you’re looking for a place that is next level luxury and out of the ordinary, then rest assured, this is the place for you. The superstars mentioned above were phenomenal. I’m sure the rest of the staff will provide the same experience for you and yours. Don’t miss out on this opportunity that will relax your mind, rejuvenate your body and touch your soul. Our thirty-sixth visit to the Maldives but first to Baglioni. We stayed 7 nights in an Water Villa with all-inclusive. The rooms are large and have plenty of space for our neighbors. Unfortunately there is not much privacy because part of the deck is visible from the jetty and when the neighbor on the left goes down the stairs to enter the sea, he can see our bathroom completely. There are several restaurants and all of them have beautiful views. There is a lot of choice on the menus but I found many dishes lacking in flavor and presentation. The service is excellent and we have no complaints about anyone. The beaches are extensive and we can walk around the entire island on the beach. The island has a reasonable reef but, unfortunately, due to the rough seas visibility in the best part of the reef was very bad.. On the far side of the beach, visibility was much better but there was less coral. In any case, we had an excellent time.

Unbelievable experience. Both a strong workout and educational experience all in one. Highly recommend to anyone that has the opportunity!

The Baglioni exceeded our expectations in every way. We were greeted at the airport and literally hand-carried to the seaplane. From the time we arrived the staff could not be more friendly, professional and helpful. Our hostess, Diana, arranged all of our reservations and spa treatments perfectly. The freshness, taste and quality of the food at every meal was exceptional, with special thanks to the pastry chef whose breads and desserts were amazing. Room service was timely in delivery and accurate without fail. The spa service was world class, as is their Yogi who easily dispensed 20 years of wisdom and instruction to us in the hour we were together. (Do not miss taking a Yoga class!). We had a beach villa with a pool which was spotless, bed was extremely comfortable and best of all as an American, the air conditioning made the room meat-locker cold. (Virtually unseen outside of the U.S.). I wish I could give the Baglioni 10 stars as it deserves it.

The best reef we have encountered where we saw so many colourful fish, reef sharks, rays and on our last day a turtle and dolphins. We had an overwater villa which was perfect, however, some of the beach villas looked a little dated and in need of repair. Pools were smaller than on other islands we have visited. The main pool was relaxed and on the beach and never a problem to get a sunbed or drinks service. What really makes baglioni stand out is their staff. Friendly and nothing too much trouble. All the staff were great but names we can remember because they really stood out are Remeez our guest rep, Zia our room attendant, Raju from the pool, Nittu at the grill, Sanjay, Simba, Yudi and Ananya from the bar, Kris at Japanese restaurant and Ali who was everywhere. Would definitely return.

My wife and I visited for 10 days celebrating our 30 yr anniversary from 10/25/25-11/4/25. We stayed in a sunset water villa for the first 7 days, then switched to a beach villa for the last 3 days. We are Palace members and have stayed at all resorts and LeBlanc's. We feel the Baglioni Maldives was our best vacation yet. The island is so relaxing and beautiful. The snorkeling is amazing and right there just steps away. But what put it over the top was the delicious food and absolutely incredible staff. We had two phenomenal housekeepers, Emon and Rashid, who blew us away with nightly surprises and hospitality. Anish, who stocked the mini bar daily, always had a smile and met our every request the entire stay. The restaurant servers treated us like royalty. Thank you to Kahley, Jack, Krishna, Thara, Pravath, and Sanjay for taking care of us so well every dining experience. We tried yoga often with Jitu, who you could tell really cared about our experience. Even Mo at the gift shop was a treat to interact with. We looked forward to her new clothing window display daily. We had exceptional treatment to and from the airport to the sea plane transportation. Shifa even walked us to our airline check-in. We were fortunate to be present for their Halloween celebration at the Taste restaurant. The set-up and theme was over the top beautiful. The staff were in costumes and it turned out to be really fun evening. We joined several cooking classes which included sushi making, traditional maldivian cooking, and shown how to make our own brick oven pizzas from scratch. Surprisingly the resort provided plenty of options to keep us busy, or you can certainly just chill on the beach and take in all the incredible scenery. We can't thank the Baglioni Maldives resort enough for an unforgettable experience, we will definitely plan a trip back in the near future.

Incredible place! From arriving at the pier and the warm welcome we received, to the amazing room overlooking the sea, the food, the bar, the pools—everything was beyond incredible. Nothing short of amazing! From the moment you land in Male, to the return trip to Male, every detail is taken care of. No way to express how beautiful the Island of Maagau is. The water is crystal clear and warm. The grounds are amazing, green and clean and the sunsets are spectacular. Going for a walk after dinner is the best way to end the day. Absolutely magical! Snorkeling from the overwater bungalow is amazing, as is snorkeling from the supply jetty/beach. Our VIP concierge Rameez gave us a tour of the Island on the way to our villa. He had already arranged our dinner reservations for the week including a special evening for my husband’s birthday. Anything we needed, any questions we had, Rameez was available and would assist. He’s absolutely lovely. The food was spectacular, even the buffet!! In fact, the buffet was the best buffet we’ve ever had!! Chef Barun went out of his way to please! He was so friendly and invited us to come back for dinner. We were presented with freshly grilled tuna at lunch and a dish of freshly prepared tuna sashimi at dinner. Such a huge variety and delicious options, breakfast, lunch and dinner! The staff throughout the entire resort are super friendly. They really do want to be sure that you’re having the best experience. Even Liton, head of our housekeeping team, worked so hard to keep our room clean, well stocked, comfortable and beautiful!! While it is an AI resort, the wine was not cheap crap as it often is at AI resorts. I am a bit of a wine snob. The grill Fuego was beyond expectations. A lovely, feet in the sand restaurant at the edge of the beach and no sand flies at all! Awesome service and great food. The Italian and Japanese restaurants were also great, and we would have loved to have gone back to them all. The real highlight, other than the spectacular setting, was the dive team. Carolina and Riki are THE BEST!! They were so kind, they made sure everyone was safe and had a great experience, before during and after the dive. They explained everything we needed to know, they asked for our input and preferences, they triple checked our gear before we got in the water. We have had great experiences with our DMs over the years and Carolina & Riki are the very best of the best! As are the crew! Captain Ido, Johnny and Hussein were phenomenal. Talk about great service! I could write a 5 page essay about how great the dive team and boat crew were! Nothing but praise. If I had any criticism at all, it would be nice to have the option to have a bottle of wine or perhaps some cans of cider or cocktails stocked in the fridge as they do with the beer and soft drinks. Not everyone likes beer, pop/juice. But if that’s the only negative, then it’s not a problem! If you are considering a visit, do it!! You won’t regret it!! We only wish we could have stayed longer!

The song ‘heaven is a place on earth’ popped into my head throughout our 10 day Baglioni Maldives holiday. Everyday I marvelled at the sea, the coral, the beautiful fish and white sand. Our room led onto the beach and at times it felt like we were on our own private island. Our concierge Rameez was amazing, nothing too much trouble, we were made to feel ‘special’, bar staff, waiters, pool staff remembering us and what we liked (ginger tea). The villa looked after every day by Uzzel was wonderful very welcoming and a luxury we appreciated. We enjoyed eating at all the restaurants the food was amazing, our last night beach dinner was very special. We will definitely return.
